We have reached the final weeks of the year with the satisfaction of sharing stories that reflect who we are, where we are headed, and the deep commitment within our community in St. Louis and the surrounding region. This December edition highlights the value of culture, solidarity, and civic engagement, especially in a national and international context full of challenges, debates, and transformations.
This fortnight, we celebrated the Panamanian community’s historic gala, marked by identity and pride, which received official recognition from the City of St. Louis by proclaiming November 15 as “Panamanian Society Day.” This achievement not only honors a community but also strengthens the presence and visibility of our cultures within the social fabric of the city.

– La temporada navideña llega con todo a St. Louis con la décima edición de Winterfest, el festival invernal que se celebra en Kiener Plaza, bajo la espectacular iluminación del Gateway Arch. LOUIS, MO – November 28, 2025 – The holiday season is in full swing in St. Louis with the tenth edition of Winterfest, the winter festival held at Kiener Plaza, under the spectacular lighting of the Gateway Arch. This year, Winterfest will take place from November 22 to January 11, offering fun, entertainment, and activities for the whole family.

In my view, the ominous danger of Balkanization lurks for both the U.S. and Europe, as Russia and China advance in the emerging multipolar system, which is actually tripolar—and later tetrapolar with India’s inclusion—with spillover to the Global South.

It’s about morality, about good versus evil, and about the need for America and the West to stomp out an evil regime that terrorizes the world and currently holds 30 million Ukrainians hostage.

Instead, it treats those funds as potential compensation for Ukraine — meaning Russia would bear financial responsibility for war damages.

Ukraine is not a deal or a strip mall, and, thankfully, Europe is rich enough and united enough to reject a fool’s suggestion that another crazed dictator be appeased.

One can’t help but notice that the Trump regime’s preposterous 28-point non-peace “peace plan” for Ukraine and Russia has knocked Epstein, Venezuela, and even America’s affordability troubles off its front pages. But the document damages Trump: It appears to be a rogue document that proposes to bail out Vladimir Putin’s failed invasion, undermine Ukraine, Europe, and NATO, and pit isolationist and proPutin Vice President “Comrade” J.D. Fortunately, the plan is so amateurish, so compromised, and so transparently crafted by Russia and Trump’s business associates that it has jolted Europe awake, united Ukrainians, triggered a Republican mutiny, and confirmed that private dealmakers are driving Trump’s Russia policy without U.S. national security oversight. US Republican Senator Mike Rounds even said the document “looked more like it was written in Russian to

The meeting was allegedly hidden from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, from NATO, from European leaders, and from the Ukrainian government. It was also hidden from the U.S. national-security establishment. The secrecy was so extreme that when the plan leaked, senators had to scramble to find out who wrote it. Independent Senator Angus King said Rubio personally told senators that “this was not the administration’s plan.”The truth is that the administration had never seen it. Not at State. Not at Defense. Not at the National Security Council. The plan appeared in public as if dropped from the sky, with fingerprints that were unmistakably Russian. Then, after Putin endorsed it as a “basis for negotiation,” and so did Trump, who added it wasn’t his “final offer,” the gig was up.

Cases of stress-induced transient amnesia are on the rise, and experts warn that these are not simple lapses. They are signs that the brain is collapsing under constant pressure. The main culprit? Cortisol—the stress hormone—which, at high and sustained levels, can literally intoxicate the nervous system.

Para muchas personas en proceso migratorio, recibir una citación para presentarse en la corte de inmigración genera incertidumbre, ansiedad y un sinfín de preguntas. Una de las dudas más comunes es si asistir a la audiencia significa que ya están protegidos o que no corren riesgo de una eventual deportación. La realidad legal es más compleja y merece ser entendida con claridad.
For many people in the immigration process, receiving a notice to appear in immigration court generates uncertainty, anxiety, and countless questions. One of the most common doubts is whether attending the hearing means they are already protected or not at risk of potential deportation. The legal reality is more complex and deserves to be clearly understood.
Lo primero que debes saber es que asistir a la cita no te protege automáticamente. Aunque presentarte demuestra responsabilidad y cumplimiento ante la corte, esto no garantiza que el caso será aprobado. Asistir simplemente mantiene el proceso activo, lo que significa que el juez tiene la autoridad para evaluar la situación migratoria y emitir una decisión con base en la evidencia, la ley y la argumentación presentada durante la audiencia. The first thing you should know is that attending the appointment does not automatically protect you. While showing up demonstrates responsibility and compliance before the court,
it does not guarantee that your case will be approved. Appearing simply keeps the process active, meaning the judge has the authority to evaluate your immigration situation and issue a decision based on the evidence, the law, and the arguments presented during the hearing. And it is crucial to understand this with total precision: not appearing at the hearing does, by default, result in a deportation order in absentia.

Every case is different. Factors such as immigration history, the strength of evidence, consistency of testimony, preparation of legal arguments, and proper presentation of documents can determine the outcome of the hearing. That’s why it is essential to understand that everything depends on the evidence and the legal defense you present.
