We are excited to unveil the esteemed 2024 Honored Elders! We joyously gathered for our annual dinner, paying tribute to elders who have left an indelible mark on the Redding Rancheria and the wider Indian Country! It was an evening of exuberant celebration, graced by the presence of these revered individuals and their cherished families. As customary, the inaugural Grand Entry of the Pow Wow was dedicated to these exceptional souls. We take immense pride in honoring the following distinguished elders: Ginger Murphy, Caroline Wilkes, Art Garcia, Shawna Potter, and Millie Jackson. Their unwavering efforts and unwavering commitment have paved the way for us to carry forth their invaluable work. These extraordinary individuals inspire and bring our people together in a good way! We express our deepest gratitude for their guidance and for imparting wisdom, shaping and nurturing the youth of today. Their legacy propels us forward, and we extend heartfelt thanks for all they have done! We will continue to walk the path you have all paved with your time on our home.
The passionate and powerful spirits of our staff at the many entities of Redding Rancheria are the heart and soul of our success. As humans first, we recognize the importance of appreciation, recognition, and encouragement to continue thriving. This was the essence behind our Staff Development Day—a day set aside to learn, grow, and connect beyond the walls of our campuses.
On October 23, we transformed the Events Center at Win-River Resort & Casino and Anderson River Park into hubs of purpose and passion. We were thrilled to welcome Liza Donnelly, a renowned writer and cartoonist for The New Yorker, as our guest speaker. Her words inspired and invigorated us all.
Our staff enjoyed browsing and shopping at our very own farmers market, followed by an afternoon full of engaging activities. From cornhole and connect four to pickleball and soooo much more, the day was packed with fun, laughter, and bonding.
This event was a perfect opportunity for our team to come together, share space, and build stronger connections in a warm and welcoming environment. The foundation of our success lies in the support and camaraderie shared by our dedicated staff members, who continuously rise to any challenge with enthusiasm and heart.
We are proud and honored to have such an incredible team, and together, we are shaping a future so bright, even the sun needs shades! Here is to more shared moments, accelerated growth, and continued success!
On October 14th, Redding Rancheria honors Indigenous Peoples Day, acknowledging the rich histories and contributions of Native peoples, the original inhabitants of the Americas, in a celebration that’s grown nationwide since its inception in 1977. It because of our ancestors and their strength, for which we are able to stand and smile with love in our hearts. We are proud to continue their work and honor them with our unwavering commitment to be the best people we can be for mother earth, our communities, and all peoples!

Every two years, Redding Rancheria publishes the State of the Tribe report and presentation, a comprehensive overview of the Tribe, similar to the State of the Nation. This year’s report covers the Tribe’s significant accomplishments throughout 2022 and 2023. Designed to inform and engage, the report offers a transparent view into the Tribe’s extensive efforts in health, economic impact, charitable giving, and political engagement, giving our community a detailed look at our achievements and future goals.
This year’s State of the Tribe brought exciting updates. Among the highlights was the announcement of the I-5 property becoming trust land through approval by the federal government, a crucial step in our upcoming casino relocation project—a move that will further enhance community access and economic opportunities. We discussed Redding Rancheria’s involvement with state, county, and city governments. Additionally, another proud moment was the unveiling of the
Redding Rancheria Health Village concept video, showing a vision for expanded health services.
We are grateful to everyone who attended this year’s presentation. Community collaboration is at the heart of our mission, and we believe that understanding one another helps build meaningful connections. We hope that the State of the Tribe helps others understanding Redding Rancheria’s dedication to the community and our shared future.
We are proud to stand with Nor-Cal Think Pink! Every entity of the Redding Rancheria comes together for this cause because, in the fight against cancer, we are united. Let us remember: early detection is our best protection. Stay proactive with regular mammography checks as recommended by your doctor. Together, we can face this challenge with strength, hope, and resilience.
At Redding Rancheria, we strive to participate in community events throughout the year, and one of those events is the annual Think Pink 5K, hosted by NorCal Think Pink. The Wellness Department offers employees the opportunity to participate in this event free of charge, and we go the extra mile by providing shirts to everyone who joins. Our objective is to help our community understand the importance of early detection and to inform cancer patients and survivors about the resources available in our area. This event is one of our top three largest participation events, as we come together to support breast cancer awareness.
Think Pink is a cherished tradition in our community—a powerful call to stand with those fighting breast cancer and to lift up the families and friends who support them every step of the way. This year, that call resonated loud and clear as the Sundial Bridge was illuminated in pink, a beautiful symbol of unity and hope.
Redding Rancheria was honored to join the event on October 17, 2024, sharing knowledge, resources, and some pink swag with the incredible people who gathered there. Our hearts were warmed by the sight of our community standing as one against a common foe.
Together, with compassion and strength, we can and will overcome—this is how we beat cancer: by standing together!
From Head Start to Tribal Council to the Executive Team and everyone in between, we all get into the Halloween spirit! The smiles on the kids’ faces and the laughter of the big kids (adults) as we see each other’s costumes. The day begins with Head Start making the trek over to tribal admin and the WinRiver eagle room. They visit each location and all the staff greets them with treats of all kinds! We then began the costume contest where CEO, Tracy Edwards, COO, Stacey Carman, and CFO, Tamara Olson visited each location of the Redding Rancheria and judged the costumes of the staff! We had quite the impressive lineup for our costume contest and our winners for 1st thru 4th in both Individual and group costumes received cash prizes. Here is to welcoming in the Holiday Season!!!!!
