Women’s Talking Circle Creating Community Through Culture

We invite all Native women to join us for our monthly Talking Circle, a sacred and supportive space created by and for Native women to come together in healing, tradition, and strength.

These gatherings are a time to honor our voices, share our stories, and hold space for one another as we walk individual and collective paths of healing. Rooted in cultural tradition, the Talking Circle is a powerful way to reconnect with community, spirituality, and wellness.

Through conversation and reflection, we reclaim our voices, offer emotional, mental, and spiritual support, offer cultural wellness, celebrate and pass down cultural knowledge, and uplift one another in sisterhood and unity.

This is more than just a gathering—it is a circle of healing, restoration, and resilience. Talking Circles help preserve oral traditions and ensure the stories, wisdom, and teachings of our Elders continue to guide the next generations.

This is open to all Native women. Come as you are – your voice matters. Your story is sacred – and your presence is powerful

Redding Rancheria is Proud to Sponsor

The Firecracker 5k

This Fourth of July, we honored and celebrated the sacrifices made by all citizens of the United States—of all colors, all creeds, and all walks of life—who stand together to protect our Constitution and the freedoms we hold dear. Unity, justice, and the pursuit of happiness belong to us all—and it’s through coming together that we make these ideals a reality. We were proud to sponsor this Signarama signature event, one of Redding Rancheria’s incredible community partners.

We are grateful that the Redding Rancheria Wellness Department makes healthy options available to our staff and Tribal Members easy and possible. Our Wellness Department promotes active and healthy lifestyles, and this event was an incredible opportunity to foster this, while supporting a local cause and business. We ran with pride and purpose this Independence Day!

2025 Medicine Lake Gathering

Gathering together is something Native people have done since time immemorial. We come together to share, support, and serve one another, especially in places of deep cultural and spiritual significance. Medicine Lake is one such place and Redding Rancheria helped hold a Medicine Lake gathering in July.

Redding Rancheria, the Pit River Tribe, and many allies have sacrificed and stood united in the effort to protect this sacred site. Medicine Lake is more than a beautiful landscape; it is a living place that provides healing, strength, and life itself.

After more than 28 years of dedicated advocacy and focused work, Medicine Lake has finally received the recognition it deserves. As of this year, it has been officially designated a National Monument.

This designation ensures that the beauty, power, and sacredness of Medicine Lake will be preserved for generations to come.

Our children and grandchildren will now have the opportunity to learn from and love this extraordinary place, just as we have.

Redding Rancheria Employee Appreciation Day 2025

Our employees play an essential role in our Tribe, and we are incredibly proud of all they do to support our community. They are a vital part of our Tribe’s success.

Redding Rancheria staff’s commitment to uplifting and serving our community is something we deeply admire and take pride in. Because of our pride in our employees, Redding Rancheria loves to treat the staff in so many ways. One way we celebrate them is through our employee appreciate day. We offer the staff a day off in July and invite staff and their families to enjoy a fun evening at Water Works Park. This special event was all about giving back to those who give so much. Every employee was gifted a well-deserved day off to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with their loved ones.

We believe every spirit within our organization plays a vital role, and it was an honor to celebrate each and every one of them. From splashes to smiles, this gathering was a reminder of the strong bond we share as a team and a family. Thank you to our amazing employees—you make our mission possible, and you make our Tribe stronger every day.

Employee Of The Month

Please help us congratulate Cheyenne Brown because she has earned Employee of the Month for July 2025. Cheyenne received this award for the following reasons. Cheyenne is very detail oriented, consistently keeping the facility clean and tidy. She greets all staff each morning with a smile and a positive attitude, creating a welcome environment. She is always mindful of patient care schedules and makes sure to clean during breaks or slower moments in the day without causing any disruptions. When supplies run low she jumps in without hesitation to quickly get things restocked with a great attitude and a willingness to help. Her dedication, positivity and pride in her work and culture make her more than deserving of being recognized as this month’s Employee of the Month.
