June 2020
Ground Breaking Ceremony Redding Rancheria On June 16th, 2020 Redding Rancheria commemorated the ground breaking of the new Trinity Health and Wellness Campus in Weaverville, CA. This campus is a $12,000,000 project and will be open to the public five days a week beginning in the summer of 2021. Redding Rancheria has hired the construction company Cerami and Browning to execute the plans for our new state of the art campus. This clinic is accessible to Native Americans and non-Native Americans alike who are Partnership Health, Medi-Cal, and Medicare recipients. We will be offering family medical care, urgent care and substance abuse treatment to those in need. In addition to counseling for substance abuse we will offer a medication-assisted recovery program using Suboxone for those addicted to prescription opioids and heroin. Available to all patients will be an urgent care for walk-in appointments and minor emergencies, dental care, cardiology, marriage and family counseling, behavioral health, endocrinology, psychiatry, and physical therapy. Our Tribal Health System’s Executive Director is very passionate about this project, and he’s excited to share it with all the community. His statement is as follows: “Generations ago, our ancestors negotiated federal treaties under the most difficult circumstances. Even then, they believed the health and welfare of their fellow Native Americans were paramount. They dreamed that, through the treaties, they could ensure the well-being of their descendants. They would be proud to see what our tribe has achieved today. Native Americans and the residents of Trinity County will use this facility to live healthier, better lives. Beyond that, we will have the simple yet deep satisfaction of knowing that Native Americans are taking care of Native Americans and the communities we serve.” Glen Hayward RN, BSN, MS Executive Director Redding Rancheria Tribal Health System
