Facts & Numbers Career Fair Attendance by Major The 2017 Teacher Job Fair hosted 64 employers and 88 students attended (not all attendees were College of Education students). The chart below shows the attendance broken down by major. Seven (7) College of Education students attended the Sooner Showcase (2016 Fall Career Fair) and one (1)attended the Spring Career Fair.

Recruiting On-Campus Interviews by Major Many students participate in on-campus interviews. There were 13 companies that recruited Education students by conducting 59 on-campus interviews. Forty-two (42) of these interviews were conducted the day of the Teacher Job Fair. 16-17

First Destination Data Each year Career Services attempts to collect first destination data for all Rainbolt College of Education undergraduate students. Data is collected utilizing several methods including, but not limited to, in-class surveys, email campaigns, individual department exit interviews/surveys and digital research. Activities Overview • M et with Education students throughout each semester to help with job search, resume writing, interviewing skills, and other career-related issues • Conducted numerous mock interviews with Education students to better prepare them for real interviews • Surveyed all capstone classes, gathering post-graduation information from 122 graduating seniors • Provided 9 class and/or college-wide presentations on resume writing, interview preparation, professional dress, and career-fair tips • M et with Education Academic Advising Services to discuss Career Services, Handshake, etc. • A ttended both incoming and outgoing student orientation sessions for each semester to establish relationships and/or reconnect with Education students • C onsistently updated bulletin boards and electronic media with information regarding career fairs, on-campus interviews, recruiting, career planning workshops, and career & internship opportunities • P osted jobs on Handshake (career management platform) and emailed students weekly about job openings as they became available • S hared information about workshops, career fairs, full-time opportunities and internship opportunities with students via Handshake emails
