Facts & Numbers Career Fair Attendance by Major The College of Fine Arts had students attend 3 career fairs. The Fall 2016 Sooner Showcase hosted 151 employers and 1,832 students attended. The 2017 Spring Career Fair hosted 129 employers and 1,293 students attended. The 2017 Teacher Job Fair hosted 64 employers and 88 students attended. First Destination Data Each year Career Services attempts to collect first destination data for all Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts undergraduate students. Data is collected utilizing several methods including, but not limited to, in-class surveys, email campaigns, individual department exit interviews/surveys and digital research. On-Campus Interviews by Major Many students participate in on-campus interviews. There were 11 on-campus interviews conducted with Fine Arts students (Art History [1], Drama [1], Music [6], & Music Education {3}) with 9 different companies (Apple Valley Unified School District, Bank SNB, Federal Reserve Bank of KC, Hollis & Miller Architects, Kimberly Clark, Southwestern Advantage, Spiers New Technology, Textron Aviation, & Unum). In addition to on-campus interviews, 386 companies posted 846 jobs for Fine Arts majors on the Handshake job board.

Activities Overview • Met with Fine Arts students throughout each semester to help with job search, resume writing, interviewing skills, and other career-related issues • C onducted numerous mock interviews with Fine Arts students to better prepare them for real interviews • S urveyed all capstone classes, gathering post-graduation information from 143 graduating seniors • P rovided 9 class and/or college-wide presentations on resume writing, interview preparation, professional dress, and career-fair tips • M et with Fine Arts Academic Advising Services to discuss Career Services, Handshake, etc. • A ttended incoming and outgoing student orientation sessions for each semester to establish relationships and/or reconnect with Fine Arts students • C onsistently updated bulletin boards and electronic media with information regarding career fairs, on-campus interviews, recruiting, career planning workshops, and career & internship opportunities • P osted jobs on Handshake (career management platform) and emailed students weekly about job openings as they became available • S hared information about workshops, career fairs, full-time opportunities and internship opportunities with students via Handshake emails
