FROM THE EDITOR

I say the same things everytime I make one of these; but shoutout to everyone in the dynasty that allows us to escape for a bit everyday and participate in something as cool as CLD It goes without saying that this community is unquestionably number 1 in the business right now. I’m lucky to be a part of it.

Here’s to a strong finish for this cycle and some hype for the next one!

SPECIAL CLD CHAMPS

An illustrious honor that has been achieved by few, and desired by many

ISSUE:

Recruiting, championships, conference titles “fun” we all find new ways to determine success in this league One of the best parts about the game is that winning it all is not the grand prize for everyone; nonetheless, a National Championship lasts forever

Somebody asked me - you know, how come it took you so long to win a national championship? And I said, 'I'm a slow learner; but you notice when I learn something, I have it down pretty good'

It’s been 10 seasons, and we’ve seen powerhouses fall, powerhouses created out of thin air, and even some major upsets that have rocked the landscape of the league Let’s take a Quick Look through the record books and honor those that have finished the job and accomplished greatnews

HONORING TH GREAT

Year one; a special one to win for the coach formerly known as Braap Led by a dominate defense the vols would start their legacy early

An early statement for a school with little history in the spotlight Tosh would eventually ride into the sunset after his S2 Championship

Braap is back Another trophy for the Vols, this time on the back and arm of their talented QB Not the last we’ll see from Tennessee, next time will be without their HC

As many have dubbed the “moment of the cycle”; Tidepod defeats a powerhouse Notre Dame in spectacular fashion to claim a huge title for Ole Miss

VBD makes his first appearance and claims his first victory in season 4 A no nonsense approach as we’ve come to expect, the Nittany Lions take round 4

The season that never was, after a coach dismissal mid playoff, the Vols shocked the world and won the S5 chip on autopilot

VBD strikes again; after taking a year off, he claims the illustrious second title in 3 years The second dominant run of the cycle, matching Tennessee’s S1-3

The Irish finish it off, as they take the S7 crown Coach Drew seemed like an inevitable force at this point, but we know if felt good to put the exclamation point on the season this time around

Another long time coming situation for Bizzy and the Canes Matched up against an unlikely 12 seed CSU in the title game, Bizzy handled bizzness and cruised to a comfortable win

Monkey has been removed from the Ducks’ back Led by an all time great in the making at QB Led by Nick Larson, the boys from Eugene steamrolled the competition on their way to the title

A CYCLE IN REVIEW; HOW WE RANKED ALL 32 COACHES

TSS recently sent out a questionnaire to all 32 coaches in the dynasty. Most have responded, and we thank those contributors for their help. We’ve broken down some of the hughlights, as well as offered a “prestige” score based on how we felt they have performed thus far. Without further ado…!

LEGENDARY MOMENT

Pride’s favorite moment isn’t actually on the gridiron, it’s on the trail. A 5 star CB he was able to wrangle in the transfer portal. That coupled with the excitement of an auto commit in season 6 top the list for the veteran coach.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

In the words of Coach Pride - “DE Romeo Markuk. Fast edge rusher I was able to poach out of Miami, FL. Played faster and better than anyone I've rostered at the position. Think he ended up being drafted in the first 3 rounds. Another big milestone for a smaller school.”

CYCLE SUCCESS

Pride has stuck it out with a program that simply can’t hang with most on the recruiting trail. Despite this, he has elevated Air Force to a perennial contender, with multiple playoff appearances. As far as he is concerned, team prestige is the only answer in terms of a measure of success. He’s answered the call, bringing Air Force from a 2 star to the brink of a 4 star program.

Without a doubt this has been an overall success for a talented user.

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

Unfortunately we did not receive any standout moments from Ares this cycle

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

3 star gem WR Gerald Brown was one of the early commits for Ares’ current tenure at FIU. A promising speedster that played all 4 years for the Panthers.

CYCLE SUCCESS

A shakey start for Ares as he couldn’t maintain his role as head coach for the Mean Green, or the So. Miss Golden Eagles. Despite the tribulations early, he has settled in nicely at FIU, snagging some promising recruits in the process. the firings land him lower on our list but hes done well with what’s he’s had as of late.

The career record is really what drags down our rating here.

LEGENDARY MOMENT

Season 2 - SEC Title

A program shifting win for the Gators as they claim the conf. title against BigSmitty’s Sooners

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

We’ve got a tie here. 2 monsters, one on O, and one on D. WR Darren Azur, the infamous “101” speed demon that tormented users early on. More recently, DE Nafari Safari Long put the country on notice with his insane sack totals; nearly missing a heisman trophy in the process.

CYCLE SUCCESS

Van is the first to tell you he hasn’t acheived enough at Florida. But he’s been overly critical in our opinion. Hanging strong in a brutal conference is nothing to scoff at; and in his words a 10-2 season with 8 SEC users is “not bad”. Not bad in Vananese is a pretty good for us.

27-22

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

The easy pick is Temples AAC title over a tough SMU team coached by and even tougher user. The coach’s pick is his huge upset victory against Penn State in Happy Valley. Shocking the world early, the rough and tumble Owls proved they belonged on the big stage.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

Quite possibly the biggest no brainer on this entire list. TavaresVickerson was coveted by all before he even hit campus. What campus did he hit? TEMPLE. JB secured this monster of a HB by everyone’s surprise; and he’d go on to set every record in the book at Temple.

CYCLE SUCCESS

In the words of JohnBau himself, “I tried thinking of different ways to measure ‘success’ but I kept coming back to the ultimate goal of winning a natty. I believe whoever wins the most nattys is the most successful. I’ve been subpar this cycle.”

despite this, he definitely did something special in his tenure at Temple, and that cannot be ignored.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

CYCLE SUCCESS

A strong run with South Carolina, culminating in a few playoff appearances, followed by an up and down rebuild of a struggling Hawaii program. Despite the lack of measurable success with his new squad, Elio has made Hawaii relevant on the national scale, showing up in the top 25 on numerous occasions.

LEGENDARY MOMENT

One play comes to mind for Coach Sparty. An absolutely bonkers punt return that involved not one, but two laterals before running it in for 6. Play of the cycle nominee.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

No standout recruits for Sparty, per the coach himself. Just couldn’t get his feet set at any program long enough to build a class.

CYCLE SUCCESS

Admittedly, Sparty hasn’t been happy with his performance, landing on 5 different teams throughout the year. Props for sticking it out with his original coach, but overall a lackluster showing on the field.

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

It’s rare that a programs all time high is in a loss. But the season 9 national championship loss for Coach Quacks’ Colorado State was the peak for the journeyman head coach. From 1 star program to national runner-up; quite a journey for the Rams.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

HB Rashad Christianson; a 3 star speedster who broke out following his RS season. Rashad would go onto win the Heisman trophy as a Freshman, and set numerous records for the Colorado State Rams. A HOF hopeful that was truly a flash in the pan, leaving for the NFL after just 2 seasons.

CYCLE SUCCESS

Despite constant movement, both changing schools and conferences. Quacks has found success everywhere he’s been. With a host of conference titles under his belt, as well as a notional championship appearance, this has been one of the more successful coaches on and off the field. Factor in the task of bringing lowly CSU to national relevance, and it is clear why Quacks is highly rated.

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

Do I even have to say it? The final minute INT to win the title in season 3. Take your pick of the live broadcast reactions - “Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit” - Nick Larson; “GO DOWN” - Brackett; “I’m erect” - Vanflank

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

QB Devin Royer; an absolute stud of a signal caller that started all 4 years of Tidepods time at SMU. A 94 speed menace that Pod recruited at Ole Miss, followed him in his move to SMU, and the rest was history.

CYCLE SUCCESS

The memorable run with Ole Miss clearly tops the list for Tidepod’s cycle; but he has seen success everywhere he’s been. Amassing several playoff berths, wins, and 2 national championship appearances. There are few who have accomplished as much as he has in one cycle. 110-42

105-43

ACCOLADES

x2 x5

LEGENDARY MOMENT

Sometimes you find yourself in the thick of it against a CPU squad. Kels was exactly there when he scored 2 TDs in the final 4 minutes against NC State. Capping off the huge ACC win with 8 seconds left. His most memorable moment of the cycle.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

WR Lawerence Peppers; the gargantuan specimen of a man out wide. Career leader in multiple categories, Peppers was a crowd favorite the day he committed to the Tigers. He will be remembered forever in Memphis.

CYCLE SUCCESS

A Memphis lifer, Kels is undoubtedly one of the most successful users in the dynasty. A multitude of high profile wins, several deep playoff runs, and he’s brought Memphis to the center of the national spotlight. By his own metrics, a title is the the ultimate goal.

Arguably the most impressive small school story in the league, Kels gets the stamp of approval from The Student Section.

ACCOLADES

x2 x6

LEGENDARY MOMENT

Bizzy’s first national championship win was a long time coming for the veteran HC. 9 seasons in, he was able to get over the hump and secure his first title for the Canes. A moment he will never forget, and one that is all the more special because he did it with HIS Miami team.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

Most might expect to see CLD hall of famer, Tyler Annen, in this spot. But Coach Biz actually feels as though his LB Stanford, who was converted to S is the most impactful recruit thus far. Snagging 2 pick 6s in that first Natty win, his impact is felt in the record books for Miami.

CYCLE SUCCESS

Easy, a 5 star cycle for Bizzy in Miami. 2 national championships is rarified air, and the recruiting success is discussed at length seemingly every week in chat. Not much more you can ask for out of the program. 135-29

73-67

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

Rob thinks back on his most memorable moment thus far, in his words, “Making my first bowl in 2026 was a great feeling. I felt over the moon, I agree the game is different for all users but feeling like I belong is an awesome feeling.”

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

3 star dual threat QB Dorian Azumah; 6’4, 96 THP, 95 SPD out of Jacksonville, Florida. A dynamic playmaker that elevated the Gophers all 4 seasons he was on the field.

CYCLE SUCCESS

Early on Rob made it clear his goal was to stick around as the Minnesota head coach. He has done exaclty that. Leaving the Big Ten for greener pastures in the AAC has helped Rob maintain a strong record with the Gophers, but his recruiting wins along the way have maintained a strong program and overall roster.

If he would have stayed in a P4 conference, this rating would be much higher, but it has been a successful cycle for coach Rob nonetheless.

31-20

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

The clear highlight of the cycle is Missouri’s 2034 campaign—Jalena Dankinz’s finest since his scandalfueled return to Columbia. A 10-3 record, a second Alamo Bowl victory in four years, and a #24 final ranking in the AP Poll. But that win wasn’t just about football — it was about leverage.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

TE Shaq Hall was the recruit of a century for Zeth at Missouri. Unfortunately a portion of his career was missed due to Zethuous’ departure and re-arrival scenario. An otherwise spectacular player for the Tigers.

In Zeth’s words, “Jalena Dankinz is no longer just a scandal. He’s a contender. And with every win, the dean’s secrets become harder to bury. The man Missouri tried to erase is now the one holding the pen.”

An interesting cycle for Zethious, auite possibly the most ups and downs amongst the user base. His most recent stint with Mizzou brings hope to an otherwise rocky career.

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

A conference title in the C-USA is the highlight for the Blue Raiders this cycle. No inpute from the coaching staff on this one unfortunately.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

A portal grab for Ebanks, Jordan Woolen was a 99 speed menace at WR. The fastest player to don a Blue Raider jersey, surely.

CYCLE SUCCESS

After a quick exit from UCLA, Ebanks turned MTSU into a threat, even moving them into the Big 12 to take on some stiffer competition. No huge milestones for this coach but all in all, a solid cycle with only a few down years.

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

“Think the whole cycle so far has been a highlight for us.We have been dominant, but not dominant enough to win a National Championship every year.We obviously want to be the last one standing every year, but getting beat just keeps adding fuel to the fire. Always someone better, always something to prove.”

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

WR Taylor Lobato was a force, not out wide, but in the return game. Undoubtedly the greatest return man the league has ever seen, he amassed 24 retunr TDs in his career with Notre Dame. A feat that will likely remain in the record books forever.

CYCLE SUCCESS

Coach Drew’s cycle speaks for itself. The last logo you want to see on your recruiting board, and the last one you want to see on your schedule. The career record might be a good place to start, as very few have defeated Drew on the field. A national title to cap it all off, and it’s clear why he is a top rated user by our metrics.

114-42

ACCOLADES

x2 x7

LEGENDARY MOMENT

A sniff at the title against Nick’s Ducks in season 10. NWS nearly got there but couldn’t seal the deal. Nonetheless, an appearance in the big game is enough to celebrate for the Buckeyes.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

Earl Workman, the Hall of Fame TE that caught seemingly a million balls for OSU. Workman was a S1 recruit that defied all logic for how athletic a big man can be. A true force for the offense.

CYCLE SUCCESS

An impressive cycle fro NWS and the Ohio State crew. A natty appearance, a few conf. chips (in a tough Big 10), and numerous playoff runs. What can’t be ignore if the blip on the radar where the job was in question for the illustrious coach.

CAREER RECORD

A great user that is still getting his feet wet with CFB, time will tell what Jared can create at Oklahoma State.

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

And I quote, “Beating Drewbe this year in the upcoming national championship“

Well that didn’t end up happening, but Smitty did get it half right. Losing to Bizzy in the natty has to be the pinnacle for the Sooners, despite the bittersweet nature of the loss.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

WR Miles Wade; the current SO wideout that simply burns through defenses with no remorse. Already amassing over 2,500 yards on less than 85 receptions, he is a threat to take it to the house on every play.

CYCLE SUCCESS

Smitty has been a force to be reckon with at Oklahoma. Making playoff runs and racking up statement wins all cycle. He’s yet to put it all together in a season, and for that we have to rank him a bit lower than others. With no conference titles to his name, he is floating just below the surface in the SEC waiting for his chance to take center stage.

ACCOLADES

131-29 x6 x9

LEGENDARY MOMENT

We’ve seen a few classics from the Oregon Ducks this cycle, but things have really heated up as of late. The season 10 national championship run is the standout memory for Nick. Cloase games against both UCF and Ohio State paved the way for the hardware to come home to Eugene.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

“So many to pick from, I think I have to go with the 5 star ATH turned SS 6’5 250 Terry Archibald. Just a freaky one of a kind stud.”

So many to choose from indeed, Terry was the first of his kind, and will never be forgotten.

CYCLE SUCCESS

The head commish, he told me I would be booted if I gave him less than 5 stars. All jokes - Nick has put it all together on and off the field. A natty title, numerous conference championships, and a stable of Hall of Famers that is only going to continue to grow. Legacy is the first word that comes to might for Nick’s cycle with the Ducks.

126-34

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

VBD did not offer any insight here but take your pick of the two title runs that PSU went on.We’d say the first of the two has to be the most memorable moment for the squad, tearing through everyone on their way to the title.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

No input from the coach on this one, but we’d give the nod to Nathan Manning, the QB that took over for Glen pappoe. Big shoes to fill and Nathan did just that.

CYCLE SUCCESS

A 2 time champ, not many can make that claim. VBD is a no brainer 5 star cycle, leading the Nitany Lions to the promised land on multiple occasions. Some near Hall of Fame level careers for the recruits hes brought in only add to the greatness at PSU.

34-30

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

A recent one here, as Darrell is riding a high following his 11 win season, taking the AAC and leading Rice to a CFP berth. A first round exit against OSU spoiled his finish, but the game was close and Rice proved they belong on the national stage.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

“Maurice Onujiogu, completely changed my program and helped me win quite a bit. Couldn't have recruited anyone better.”

A bonafide legend, Onujiogu holds multiple school, conference, and national records that may stand the test of time.

CYCLE SUCCESS

A late join on the cycle, but Darrell has made his presence known. Slowly building up a humble Rice program into a playoff contender. An impressive feat that is only held back by his short tenure in the league comparatively. We are excited to see what Darrell can accomplish with a little more time under his belt.

86-58

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

Vinny Chadwick, QB; a purchased recruit that’s career story is still being written. Will he be the key to unlocking consistant success for the program?

Former QB Bernie Siegel is an honorable mention here as well.

CYCLE SUCCESS

CHOP

Chaddydaddy has had an interesting run. Starting in the Big 10, things looked bleak, but a quick scamper to the SunBelt was just what the doctor ordered for the Scarlet Knights. Rutgers is now coasting off their first round bye appearance in the CFP. A cinderella story.

Sunbelt titles don’t have the same ring to them as a Big 10 crown, but nonetheless, Chad has piled them up.

81-60

ACCOLADES

LEGENDARY MOMENT

KOTB says it best; “Winning the Heisman with HB 4 star Gem ATH Shawn Dimento. He split carries 60/40 that year and I had sought out a tough schedule (v Oklahoma, @Texas @Ohio St) and won 2 of 3 with a last minute loss in Columbus. The game rewarded SDSU for that on the way to an 11 win season.”

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

TSS darling Joey Maldonado; “The Spaghetti Cowboy” was a towering WR pluked from the heartland. Maldonado would see plenty of field time for the Aztecs and made his mark on the program, helping it move from the MWC to the Pac 12.

CYCLE SUCCESS

This was a tough one, KOTB has taken a small program and brought them to the spotlight, before briefly falling back out and fighting for his job. Put all that aside, and the SDSU squad is impressive on paper, holding his own on the recruiting trail and popping into the top 25 with impressive wins on multiple occasions. Seeking out a tough schedule year in and year out earns some extra cred here as well.

“Smoking Boone got better every game. #beatthatpussyup”

Can’t make these kind of statements up, Brackett hangs his hat on the numerous spankings he’s provided for the TCU Horned Frogs during the cycle.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

The do it all LB / Safety / Nightmare Mancuso is the newest favorite for Coach Brackett. A lumbering force on the Texas A&M defense will write his legeacy over the next few seasons.

CYCLE SUCCESS

Brackett has switched schools enough to make it hard on himself to really build a program. He has still found himself with many playoff appearances and even some deep runs as of late. He is disappointed with coming up short, but we feel as though he has done well with the short(er) tenures at each school.

LEGENDARY MOMENT

Jmo harkens back to some specific shootouts that stood out to him: “3 game stretch of close games. Beat Manny in playoffs, lose to nick in playoffs lost to van in season opener but all games came down to last possession, it was a lot of fun and rarely happens. Maybe beating Tidepod 27-26 after being down 0-26 at half pretty neat too.”

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

We know this one.. DE Khalil Torrence, the sultan of sacks. A dominating presence that came out of nowhere, pulling interest from many a wandering eye with his 6 sack performace early in season 10.

CYCLE SUCCESS

A consistant presence, Jmo has never really had a bad season, a few missed conference games, but he is right there at the top more often than not. There hasn’t been much noise in the postseason yet, but the swuad continues to improve and has already produced a Hall of Famer in HB Dick Bueno. 100-48

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

QB Jaylen Duncan, the blur of a QB that led the early dynasty that was the Tennessee Volunteers. A perennianl All-American with a National Title to his name.

CYCLE SUCCESS

The most conmplicated story of the bunch, a two time champ that created a dynasty with the Volunteers. Off the field issues caused the coach to take a step back and start fresh with the Sam Houston Bearkats. CYCLE SUCCESS

Heath caught fire with his move to Army, winning the AAC Championship and proceed to appear in 3 straight title games.Winning 2 conference titles remains the high point of the cycle for coach Heath.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

4 star QB Delonte Bickley, the first big name to be brought on at Army under the new HC. A dominant presence in the AAC for his entire stay with the program.

CYCLE SUCCESS

“For myself it’s how well I can compete against users. Most user games are crap shoots if you’ve got close to equal rosters. If you look at my Texas record (4-8) you’d think it’s a bad season. But we were 3-4 plays away from being 9-3 instead of 4-8, sometimes the breaks fall the other way. Sure 4-8 sucks, I think playing better users makes you better at the game and that’s more successful to me”

The man of many schools, Heath takes the cake with position changes if you facotr in his return trip to VT. Despite this, he did put together a very impressive run at Army, and will be interesting to see once he has a season under his belt at UT.

Guac’s highlight of the cycle is the very moment he got his latest job. A dream wheel spin lands Guac in North Carolina, were he’s had his best season yet and seems to be on his way to building something nice in Chapel Hill.

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

The career that never was... a 97 speed safety by the name of Jesus Alvarez that was on his way to Maryland before Guac’s untimely demise.

CYCLE SUCCESS

A man of many teams, he has been fired and spun the wheel, so his feet have need really dug in at any of the programs he’s visited. We do have a bright spot now in his most recent season with UNC.

Guac has fouind the most success and enjoyment in his recruiting battles, which he may find himself in alot more with the Tarheels.

LEGENDARY MOMENT

A brand new coach, but already stacking up a few impressive wins with a less than spectacular squad. Season 1 with Vandy saw wins against Texas, Alabama, and Georgia. A trifecta of powerhouses in the SEC

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

Nothing to note yet, just not enough time to get any recruits on board.

CYCLE SUCCESS

Once again, hard to judge from the limited run thus far, instead I’f like to share a quote from Chaos that I think rings true for almost all of us.

“ ... But at the end of the day, I lose a lot of games. I will continue to lose a lot of games. I think the biggest measure of ‘success’ in this game is really just when you take a step back and ask yourself if you’ve had fun. I am having a lot of fun 2 seasons in, and to me that’s more ‘successful’ when playing the game and being a part of the league as opposed to how many playoff wins or championships won. A lot goes into the game and not everybody can win. So I personally feel it better to gauge my ‘success’ off of my level of fun and enjoyment!“

LEGENDARY MOMENT

We all witnessed it, but I’ll let the coach describe this one, “Has to be beating Drew in the playoffs with a significantly undermanned WAZZU roster. Everyone was saying Cinderella season and so forth, but I don’t think anyone expected me to go in and actually win (heck, I’m not sure I believed I could beat him with that team lol)”

RECRUIT SPOTLIGHT

Current SOWR KonaYu; “Yu is a dream to have at slot. He’s not the fastest, but I swear he puts glue on his hands before every game. He’s fast enough, not a blazer, but if you put the ball on him, he’s catching it.”

CYCLE SUCCESS

Dullish measures himself mostly against other established users, especially as a relatively new memeber to the community. He has crushed it as of late, with statement wins against some of the best in Drew and Pride. We are seeing this Wazzu program blossom into it’s full potential, and time will tell how far they can go.
