We’ve now had 5 different champions emerge amoungst the masses, with a few elite users still seeking their title nod.
2 0 2 9
It’s been a minute since the last Student Section release Season 4 came and went in the blink of an eye, and we are left with a wild upset and subsequent coach departure that will be remembered for cycles to come
Let’s set the scene. Bowl week 1; and the 10 seed Ole Miss Rebels stare straight up to a long road of playoff matchups Despite being a bonafide recruiting powerhouse and perennial contender, Tidepod was undoubtedly an underdog in each of his potential matchups
We begin with a first round matchup against Braap and the Vols Ole Miss dispatched the 2 time champ with emphasis, 38-21
Next up would be another tough matchup against NWS and the Buckeyes. Pre-game rumors of a potential coaching change for head coach TidePod shook the landscape of the league as it seemed like we may be witnessing something special from the SEC Cinderella Rumors aside, the Rebels handled business against Ohio State and left with a 38-34 victory and a one way ticket to the final 4
An offseason departure is now all but confirmed for Tidepod at this point But a tough task still stood in his way for a chance at glory. South Carolina was on a dream run of their own, clinching the SEC crown and the 3 seed for the playoffs. A thriller of a game ensued, coming down to some botched special teams plays and some crucial time management in the waning moments, and Ole Miss had booked themselves a title shot.
None other than Drew and the Fighting Irish await A team that has been on the brink of a title seemingly since the dynasty’s inception. A true classic was ready to unfold..
A live broadcast would emphasize the epic matchup were Tidepod was the massive underdog despite his impressive playoff run Notre Dame would control the game for the most part, utilizing some well placed corner routes early on to take the lead. As we’d seen all year, Notre Dame was comfortable with the lead; leaning on their powerful running game to take the air out of the ball. Ole Miss was patient, playing into the grind it out gameplan that Drew had punished numerous opponents in the past. The game hung in the balance until the final drive, which is when things really got crazy Meticulously driving the field to set himself up for a game winning FG, ND looked to be all but planning the parade on their way to the season 4 title A 1st and 10 with 40 seconds on the clock the Irish QB drops back to pass the flat route is smothered and the QB takes just half a beat too long in the pocket before getting blasted by the DE as he releases the ball Calamity ensues on the broadcast; Van and Brackett nearly get the account banned from Twitch as the Rebel LB catches the floater and runs the field before downing the ball and locking up an Ole Miss title
A magical run for the coach before he eventually leaves to lead the SMU Mustangs of the PAC 12. Congrats to Tidepod on the amazing season.
The Big 10 has been a pushing and shoving match between blue bloods like Oregon, Penn State, and Ohio State since the dynasty began.
The rest of the country stands back ready for their chance at the title As Season 6 comes to an end, the stage is set for another exciting finish
Next we will take a look at the Season 5 run for a Big 10 powerhouse that led them to their first title in CLD history.
SET YOUR GOALS HIGH, AND DON'T STOP TILL YOU GET THERE.
A contender year after year, Penn State had assembled an impressive roster after multiple top ten recruiting classes began to develop on campus into bonafide playmakers. Penn State's remarkable season 5, spearheaded by the dynamic quarterback Glen Pappoe, culminated in an elusive national championship victory Pappoe, known for his dual-threat capabilities, was instrumental in guiding the team through a challenging playoff run. The Nittany Lions would earned a 1st round bye after a Big 10 Championship, which awarded them with a matchup against budding rival TCU Taking down the Horned Frogs with one of the more unbelievable finishes we have seen yet, a last second punt return TD for the win. Next up, things got no easier, Nick and Oregon awaited in the semis. Familiar foes would clash hard, and VBD edged out the Ducks to earn his spot in the title game
Their final showdown against Braap and Tennessee would come down to wire once again, but some timely shots from the PSU offense iced the Vols to take home the 33-28 victory in the post game presser, Tenn coach states “I hope I never play you ever again.” Enough said for VBD’s season 5 run.
After a big shake up as conference realignment officially opens, where does each conference stand as we wrap up season 6?
COMMISSIONER:COACHSUNTAN
The previous champion has up and left for the ACC; leaving a wide open conference up for grabs
USF has vacated the belt in the homogeneous AAC That leaves some early favorites as well as a few newcomers competing for that conference belt JB and Kelz are no strangers to the competition, building Temple and Memphis into bonafide contenders that seem to be on the verge of a breakout season Temple landed 5 star HB Tavares Vickerson in yet another tremendous recruiting win for the Owls The Tigers have seemingly found their QB in Terrance Baggs, who has quickly developed into the most promising QB in the conference
The ol’ vets will have some company Three users join the AAC as Army, Minnesota and SMU Heath and Rob look to gain some footing in the new look conference, and Tidepod makes a splash after winning the season 5 title and taking his talents to the G5
Vegas would say Tigers, Owls, or Stangs for the chip; but Vegas has been wrong before. We will see fireworks either way.

Miami stands tall amongst the evolving landscape of the ACC
Meet the King of the Coast, Bizzy and the Canes The recruiting powerhouse missed out on the first two conf titles before seeking their revenge and sending Quacks packing in season 3 Now a back to back winner, Miami is poised to maintain control of the ACC and remain a Championship Contender for years to come Familiar faces abound in the conference, but Bizzy will have some new competition as SeidEffect brings the surging USF Bulls into the mix. A deserved step up into a P4 conference will put the Florida boys to the test
Speaking with conf commissioner, EliO, he adds “The USF Bulls and Boise State Broncos have excelled at the Group of 5 level, standing out with their grit, ambition, and competitiveness Head coach SeidEffect has built a fierce program in Florida, while Boise State’s reputation for big wins and dynamic play has captivated fans across the country Their move to the ACC represents “New Beginnings,” a chance to redefine themselves among Power 4 programs, compete on a bigger stage, and pursue new rivalries and higher stakes. With this transition, both teams embrace a future filled with opportunity and the promise of even greater success ”

A top heavy conference with no less than 3 serious contenders every single season
Arguably our most competitive conference to date; the Big Ten was not immune to the changing landscape in Campus Legends Out with the old and in with the new: Chad and Rutgers move down to the SunBelt, and Minnesota vacates to the American
A mess at the top, perennial contenders Ohio State, Oregon, and Penn State remain odds on favorites to win the conference Minnesota, Rutgers, and Texas Tech’s departure leave the top heavy conference to battle it out for years to come
New QBs for OSU and Oregon will clash with the SR from Penn State that has amassed an impressive career already for the Nittany Lions Multiple times knocking on the doorstep for these coaches makes each passing season seem bigger than the last

A big swing brings multiple users to the Big 12 With Tosh’s retirement, its anyone’s game!
Talk about an overhaul, the Big 12 just got a lot bigger; Zeth, Ebanks, Brackett, and Quacks all join in a huge move that brings the conference to 7 users. The incumbent champ, Jmo, awaits. The early departure of Dick Bueno remains the main story for the UCF Knights; a program that has lost multiple superstar HBs over the past few seasons. Is this the year Coach Suntan turns the corner with TCU? After a few years of recruiting the former JMU Duke will make his case for a title run sooner rather than later. Brackett takes over BYU and gets ready for a rebuild in Mormon Town
As commish Nick describes, they all suck, but the user base here looks to make this one of the more interesting conferences in the nation

A Conference with a history of excitement filled matchups, we have 2 users ready to duel for the title
Who’s ready for some MACtion?!
Sparty and DrDark sure are! A couple of MAC vets, including the defending champs NIU as the natural favorite. Sparty does have some nice pieces, although the loss of stud HB Lamar
Sperling is something that this team will need to find an answer for. A fun division taking shape here, and we could see some potential moves to the MAC in upcoming seasons.

The tides have turned out West and only KOTB remains, with a new face joining the ranks
A big shift in the MWC Losing multiple users after a fairly competitive season is a twist not many expected. Season 4 champs Colorado State fled for the chance at promotion into the Big 12; up and coming Boise State did the same and found themselves in the ACC; conference cornerstone Air Force has fled for greener pastures in the Sun Belt. San Diego State hangs tough as the only remaining user in the conference A late addition of Hawai’i after a head coach change brings Elio to the fold. Another interesting situation where a previously successful user takes over a struggling program The Rainbow Warriors will have a windy road ahead to take the vacated title, but anything is possible in the Wild West

Some life in the Belt, as realignment and recruitment has Bizzy collecting a good user base
Words from commish Bizzy himself -
“Building the SunBelt has begun The first round being implemented went off very smoothly. The goal is simple for the commissioner and the teams associated with the conference That goal you ask? To get 4 consistent users while limiting a single team per state This will be a multi-staged process that takes several seasons to complete
Round one saw the conference add 3 teams; Wake Forest, Rutgers and Air Force Keeping the conference lower in team counts the conference saw Georgia Southern leave l ensuring Georgia State as the only school in Georgia
This does leave a few duplicates currently in the conference but buyouts are being discussed and we expect a few more pieces to be moved soon
As for the teams that were added you can really see the focus on quality Wake Forest wasn't a power house in the ACC but as a 3* program they can really boost the conference prestige Air Force and Rutgers were the real steals of this round of expansion Both schools should expect to compete for the conference title immediately
The future seems bright as the conference has already been approached by more than one school to fill out the desired number of users We expect Air Force to be the furthest west at this point but things can change quickly in this landscape “

The almighty SEC, where Bama and Georgia fire their HC every season
A unsurprisngly competitive conference, we’ve seen a multitude of champions emerge from the SEC Newcomer Drew is the talk of the town as he brings Notre Dame into the ranks of fellow powerhouse programs and hopes to turn that into a title sooner rather than later. Florida remains a recruiting blue blood and has conference champs on his resume despite what he might make you believe! Oklahoma has finally taken the half star hit and is no longer a 5 star program, nonetheless Smitty has assembled a nice roster and has won some big games down South Tennessee needs no introduction after winning 2 National Championships already. AirV retains his job after a shakey year or two in Texas, but also boosts an impressive list of wins that make him a darkhorse pick for a potential conf title in the next few seasons
Commisioner Morlock has his hards full keeping all the big dogs happy here, but the SEC remains the most roster-talent filled conference in the Dynasty as we currently stand

The Tigers did it all this season Piecing things together from humble beginnings in the league, to cruising into an undefeated playoff bye Knocking off the likes of Oregon, Temple, and Army along the way. A tough loss to the Ducks in the playoffs sent them packing, but this season will be one to build upon for Kelz and the Tigers
A memorable 5th season from the Memphis Tigers Going undefeated is no easy feat in Campus Legends; not to mention going undefeated while welcoming a challenging out of conference schedule to boot. Some have felt the breakout season coming from Kelz, after landing some impressive recruits in seasons 3 & 4 Despite a roster that reads mediocre on paper, the Tigers have put it all together. Lead by Freshman WR Lawerence Peppers; the offense has come alive. Peppers, a 4 star recruit out of Milton, FL, stands at a towering 6’5” with true track star speed. Dynamic would be an understatement for his performance on the field for the Tigers; racking up 62 catches for 1,089 yards, along with 14 TDs The 19 year old speedster has seemingly developed a full route tree in his debut campaign, and he’ll look to build on the hot start and cement his position in Memphis football history. No doubt he will be the focal point once again heading into season 6.
The AAC has seen a tremendous uptick in popularity. undeniably in part to Memphis’ huge success. An ongoing in conference rivalry with Temple has also taken certain stage. Newcomer Heath and Army have made an immediate splash and were featured in the exciting live broadcast by Conference Commissioner Suntan. We will surely have another exciting season in store in the AAC.
Some memories from the American Athletic Champ’s historic year
In a move that has both stunned the college football world and left Oklahoma State reeling, Jalena Dankinz has left the Cowboys in the dust to take up the head coaching position at the University of Missouri With controversy hounding his every step, Dankinz has managed to land another high-profile job, but this time, the stakes and the scandal are even higher
Dankinz’s one-year tenure at Oklahoma State was nothing short of disastrous After leading the Cowboys to an abysmal 2-10 season, hemorrhaging players to the transfer portal, and shattering the mental stability of freshman quarterback Leo Hope, Dankinz found himself firmly seated on the hottest of coaching hot seats. The whispers surrounding his involvement in drug trafficking, coupled with the unrelenting media coverage of his erratic behavior, made his position untenable
Behind the scenes, it became clear that the authorities in Oklahoma were beginning to tighten the noose around Dankinz Investigations into his alleged Midwest drug cartel operations were gaining traction, and Oklahoma State officials were rumored to be on the verge of parting ways with him Sensing the walls closing in, Dankinz quietly engineered his exit, turning to Missouri a state with a reputation for looking the other way when it comes to its vices
Dankinz’s move to Missouri has raised more than a few eyebrows, especially considering the peculiar circumstances that made his hire possible According to inside sources, the dean of the University of Missouri played a pivotal role in bringing Dankinz on board, though the relationship between the two is far from professional
Rumors have surfaced that the dean of Mizzou, long suspected of harboring a penchant for illicit substances, has become addicted to the products from Dankinz’s Midwest drug cartel operation specifically methamphetamine It’s believed that the dean’s growing dependence on Dankinz’s operation was a key factor in pushing for the coach’s hire, despite the growing mountain of legal troubles and public scandal surrounding him
Even more scandalous is the revelation that the dean’s wife has been romantically involved with Dankinz for some time According to multiple sources, she has been carrying on an affair with Dankinz, driven by his charisma and the power he wields within his criminal empire With her influence over her husband, she played an instrumental role in convincing him to bring Dankinz to Missouri, reportedly so she could continue her relationship with the coach more conveniently
A source close to the situation described the tangled web: “The dean was hooked on Dankinz’s product, and his wife was hooked on Dankinz It was the perfect storm They wanted him close, and with Mizzou needing a head coach, it all came together ”
Missouri, long known for its deep-rooted love of football, has also earned a reputation as a state with a more permissive attitude toward drugs and scandal Dankinz, aware that Oklahoma was closing in on his criminal activities, saw Missouri as the perfect place to lay low while the heat died down The state’s laissez-faire attitude toward its more controversial subcultures made it an ideal hideout for Dankinz to ride out the storm while continuing his cartel’s operations under a new guise.
“Missouri is a different place,” said one anonymous source familiar with Dankinz’s move “They aren’t going to be nearly as aggressive as Oklahoma in investigating his cartel ties, and the culture there gives Dankinz the breathing room he needs It’s a place where he can get away with a lot more while still being in the public eye.”
For Dankinz, Missouri represents a chance to buy time, maintain control over his drug empire, and rebuild his reputation in the only way he knows how winning football games And with the dean under his thumb and his wife under his arm, Dankinz’s position at Mizzou seems secure, at least for now.
The state of Missouri itself, known for its complex relationship with drugs and underground economies, has seemingly welcomed Dankinz with open arms. While the more conservative corners of the state have voiced concerns over the scandalous coach’s hiring, many others have embraced him, seeing him as a rebel figure and an embodiment of Missouri’s wild, untamed spirit Local fans are hoping that Dankinz’s coaching genius will bring a resurgence to the Tigers’ football program, and some even admire his controversial, defiant attitude
“Missouri has always had a certain wild side,” said a fan from St. Louis. “Sure, he’s got baggage, but that’s what makes him one of us. He’s a fighter, and he’s got that edge We’re a state that’s seen it all, and if Dankinz can win, we’ll have his back ”
With widespread public acceptance of drugs, scandal, and excess, Missouri has become the perfect stage for Dankinz to continue his dramafilled saga. Whether it’s the drug cartel running quietly in the shadows or his affair with the dean’s wife simmering beneath the surface, Dankinz seems poised to make the most of his new home
While Dankinz may have escaped the firestorm in Oklahoma, the question remains: how long can he hide out in Missouri before his criminal empire catches up to him? The legal and moral dilemmas surrounding his past haven’t disappeared, and while Missouri may be more forgiving of his transgressions, there’s no guarantee that Dankinz can keep the lid on his scandals forever
For now, the Tigers have their new head coach, and the state seems willing to look past the controversies for a chance at gridiron glory. But with his troubles following closely behind, Jalena Dankinz’s story is far from over
As he continues to balance his underground empire with his coaching duties, only time will tell whether this latest chapter ends in triumph or another spectacular downfall.
