NEW!

Adopt-a-Park Prince William County Parks, Recreation and Tourism is proud to introduce a new Adopt-a-Park Program! Email jlafleur@pwcgov.org for more information.

Friends and Families, Greetings! Thank you for connecting with our virtual Leisure Magazine—Prince William County’s go-to source for all things recreation. The current COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated just how much we need our parks and trails for our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. During this difficult time, the Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism has worked extra diligently to create alternative opportunities for people to connect with nature and one another in the midst of social distance restrictions. We have created hours of virtual fitness and educational programming, modified our existing programming like summer camps, and partnered to develop new programs such as outdoor family Movies at the Pfitz in July and August. We are pleased to announce that the Sharron Baucom Dale City and Chinn Aquatic & Fitness centers are back open for current member use. Members can register in advance for 90-minute time slots and exercise in a more generously spaced environment. Go to pwcparks.org to secure your spot. All self-guided fitness equipment is currently open for use. Indoors pools will open for lap lane swimming in the near future, followed by group fitness classes—all with reduced capacity. All of our parks, marinas, golf courses, and historic properties are now open and we are also offering limited recreation programs throughout the County. Visit the Dale City Farmer’s Market, which has been temporarily moved to Mid-County Park next to Pfitzner Stadium on Sunday mornings from 8am–1pm. Vendors are spaced out adequately to provide a safe and comfortable shopping experience. A list of vendors can be found at www.dalecitymarket.com. I am grateful for your support as a trusted provider for your recreation needs. Check out the new dedicated outdoor Pickleball Courts at the Ferlazzo complex at 15941 Donald Curtis Drive in Woodbridge. Stop by anytime and you will usually find someone eager to teach you the game. Take a stroll through Neabsco Regional Park and try out the new outdoor gym equipment or rent a stand-up paddle board at Lake Ridge Park. Our passionate staff is committed to ensuring you have an exceptional experience at every touch point. Please don’t hesitate to let us know via parkscsd@pwcgov.org if we are not meeting your expectations or if you need help finding the perfect recreation opportunity. May you strive to be your best self with Prince William County Parks, Recreation & Tourism as your partner. With Gratitude,

Seth Hendler-Voss Director of Parks, Recreation & Tourism Prince William County, VA (O) 703.792.4284
