Youth Pilates Reformer Pilates is a mindbody discipline that can guide teenagers toward a stronger body and a more relaxed state of mind. Working to strengthen their bodies can increase self-esteem, improve stamina, enhance abdominal strength, improve sports performance, prevent injuries, and promote better sleep. That, combined with the focused breathing techniques essential to this exercise method, can help teenagers attain a much more serene and less stressful outlook. “In the adolescence age, habits are easily formed - good and bad. Why not then concentrate on the formation of only good habits and thus avoid the necessity later in life of attempting to correct bad habits and substituting for them good habits.”Joseph H. Aquatic & Fitness Centers Memberships
Prince William County Parks & Recreation operates two aquatics & fitness centers offering a wide variety of programs and equipment to help you on your journey to health and wellness.
Prince William County has a diverse and dramatic history since its creation in 1731. In those nearly 300 years, many unusual and tragic events have happened, and it is said that spirits of the unquiet dead still linger at the places they knew in life. Grab a pint and kick off the spooky season with a night of local ghost stories from throughout Prince William County’s history. This is a free joint program between Water’s End Brewery and Prince William Historic Preservation; it will take place at the Lake Ridge location at Water’s End Brewery. Historic Prince William is an event sponsor for Take a Sip of History programs.
We invite you to visit the centers online or in-person for a complete view and feel of our extensive programs including personal training and group fitness classes. No initiation fees required!. pwcparks.info/aquaticandfitness
