It helps us as Canadians because there are so many of us and everybody can always use a helping hand from someone else. Ashleen Dhugga, from Mrs.Sidhu’s grade 7 class, said that it taught her that she should help people when she can. It's also important during this pandemic because we need to help each other get through this. It connected with her because I have a family members that are nurses or doctors.
I am a thirteen-year-old boy who is determined to learn new things. Aishmeen Sidhu, a grade 7 student from Mrs.Sidhu’s class I learned life isn’t perfect sometimes and that is normal. No one has a perfect life. This statement connected with me becauase I'm quiet on the outside too. I liked that it said life isn’t perfect because our lives aren’t perfect right now with online school and we can’t go outside as much because of the coronavirus pandemic. I am quiet on the outside and I understand life can't be perfect. It reminds me to be grateful for what I do have and to concentrate on the things I have in my life.”
Kavan Kaur, a Eugene Reimer grade 7 student, said it helps us Canadians because nurses are helping us stay safe all around Canada and the world. It's important during this pandemic because they are the ones who are risking their lives and helping save people's lives from COVID 19 and we should respect and honour the nurses at this time for their bravery.
I am a Punjabi girl who loves adventures and understands life is a mystery.
I am a kid that dreams to be the best soccer player in the world and secretly cries for starving children.
Ashleen Dhugga, a proud student from Mrs.Sidhu’s class said it taught her that we can always have adventures and that's important because what's life without adventure.

I am a strong mother who believes in self-care.
Oliver Gust, a Eugene Reimer student, states “I learned that we should be reasonably hopeful that good things are coming even if things are looking bad. This doesn’t apply much to me physically but, this applies to me mentally in a way because she is hopeful and thinks positively about the future. I can connect to her in the way that I try to be “excited” for the next day while she is excited for the light after the long darkness. I chose this because it is a unique concept on what this Inuk girl would be hopeful about. This is important because people should be more hopeful in both life, and during these times with COVID-19. It helps us Canadians because it would motivate others to be again, more hopeful and happy in life as much as possible.” Gracie Shields, a Eugene Reimer student, says “It taught me that determination is the key to a team and I choose this photo because I thought it was meaningful beacuse I think with a team you can do things better and faster because you have more brains working on one thing .”

Nishan Deol, a student from Mrs.Sidhu’s class, shares “I learned that the girl in this picture is trying to change the world and I want to help her. It applies to my life because a lot of people want to change the world but this girl wants to play and change the world. It connects with me because sometimes I plan to change the world too and now I could see that someone else wants to do it too. I picked it because it stood out to me and it connected with me really well. It is important because this girl has two dreams and both of them are really hard and she actually cares about the world and she is passionate to play on team Canada. It is important in this pandemic because these were the dreams of the girl and she can’t complete them during this hard time. It helps as Canadians because she is a Canadian and she is trying to change the world and she is proof that Canadians care about the world.”

We are all learning at differeent rates and on lifes journey”
I am a 5-year-old boy who understands that together we are stronger. Simrat Jhinger, a student from Mrs.Sidhu’s class, says she learned that if we are together, we can do anything if we unite. This applies to her life because in group projects or in life if she has a problem and she shares it with others and we get together and come up with a better solution. It connected with her because this is someone younger who has shared a wise message. This message just touched her heart and just connected with Simrat. She picked it because for someone younger who thinks this it is just awesome. It is important because if people know that together we are strong people will start sharing their problems more. If we share our troubles then we can come up with more solutions together. It is important during this pandemic because we are all in this together and we will find a cure and help the doctors by staying home. JohnKarl Mauricio, a student from Mrs.Sidhu’s class, shares that “I learned that the world isn’t fair to many people. It applies to my life to how Asian stereotypes are something that people do believe are real facts. It connects with me by knowing that the world isn’t fair sometimes.
