The Medical Reserve Force (MRF) and Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group (EOD/K9) were deployed to detect the presence of contrabands while the Road Safety Marshals were also placed in major thoroughfares to prevent traffic congestion.

EV COPS GIVE GIFTS TO 100 LOCALS

amp Ruperto K Kangleon, Palo, Leyte– The police force in Eastern Visayas brings cheers to 100 residents of Sitio Cabarasan, Brgy. Sungi, Dulag, Leyte in a gift-giving activity conducted on December 18, 2020.

The beneficiaries received a bundle containing food packs and other basic necessities. Together with PRO 8 Acoustic Band, locals were also serenaded with Christmas carols in a short entertainment program launched to entertain the residents. PBGEN RONALDO F DE JESUS, Regional Director, conveyed that the said community outreach program is in line with Police Community Affairs Development Master Plan “TAGAPAGTAGUYOD”, which aims to strengthen police community partnership. “This is a great opportunity of giving back to the community by sharing the blessings received to the target recipients who need it most. This Yuletide Season, let us spread love and positivity amid the pandemic we are facing,” RD DE JESUS said.
