UGMO MEMBERS DENOUNCE AFFILIATION TO REBEL GROUP

Macopa, Jaro, Leyte at about 5:00 PM of September 22, 2022.

Said UGMO Members were identified as @ Pablo, 44 years old, a resident of Tacloban, City and former member of KADAMAY (Kalipunang Damayang Mahihirap); @Toy-toy, 42 years old, a resident of Capoocan, Leyte and former member of PISTON (Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Operator Nationwide); and @Ryan, 37 years old, a resident of Tacloban City and former member of SAMAKA (Samahang Malayang Kabataan), ANAKBAYAN (Ang Nagkakaisang Kabataan Para sa Bayan) and KADAMAY.

PRO 8 OTBT OPS ARREST 560 ILLEGAL GAMBLERS

Joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 8-Northern Samar Police Office led by IO1 Elvis R Amata, Samar PO, RSET, PDEU-SPPO and Calbayog CPS apprehended Bernadith Maghacot, a Drug Den Maintainer and Paolo Absalon, a Visitor, for Violation of Sec. 5,6,7,11,12,15 and 26 of RA. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Said operating units conducted an intel-driven antiillegal drug operation thru buy-bust which resulted to the apprehension of said violators and confiscation of the above-mentioned shabu.

Seized from their possession were one (1) piece one thousand peso bill as buy-bust money; one (1) piece tooter, one (1) piece jewelry box; one (1) piece black coin purse; one (1) unit keypad cellular phone; one (1) piece keychain; one (1) piece aluminum strip; one (1) piece aluminum foil; and cash money amounting to Php 6,820.00 in different denominations.

ALLEGED WHITE VAN KIDNAPPING, CHARGED

Naval Biliran -The Biliran Police Provincial Office, led by PCOL DIONISIO DC APAS JR, Acting Provincial Director, commended Naval MPS personnel headed by PMAJ RYAN C DELIMA, Chief of Police, for filing a criminal complaint to a Teenage Girl, who falsely reported and spread fake news on being a 'victim' on an alleged White Van Kidnapping Incident, which allegedly transpired on August 20, 2022 at Brgy. Santissimo Rosario Poblacion, Naval, Biliran.

The suspect is a 19-year-old female, single, college student, and a resident of the municipality of Cabucgayan, Biliran.

After a series of in-depth investigation, Naval MPS was morally convinced that the said kidnapping incident was all made-up and fabricated considering the inconsistencies of the statements given by the alleged suspect. Witnesses and CCTVs on the areas reported, conveyed there was no kidnapping incident happened on the date and time stated, contrary to the report of herein alleged suspect.

This program is consistent with the CPNP’s advocacy framework dubbed as M+K+K=K (Malasakit, Kaayusan, at Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran) which was developed to stabilize and strengthen non-conflicting relationships in order to quickly address peace and security in the interest of the country’s advancement. It also supports the PNP Internal Cleansing Policy, which aims to remove misfits and punish erring PNP personnel in accordance with the law.

Within this frame of reference, the revitalized PNP KASIMBAYANAN was initiated to boost the alliance between the police and the community through synergized partnership, guided by the teachings and principles of religious organizations to work in harmony and elevate the people to be better, more responsible and righteous citizens anchored to promote attainable progress from any form of violence or deception.

Likewise, the people are the main promoters of peace and development, while law enforcement agencies uphold the law. Accordingly, it is impossible to achieve these shared objectives and interests without cooperation and support from various civil society and other groups/entities.

The Philippine National Police is an organization established to promote peace and order in the country. Maintaining peace-building processes requires effective communication and solid partnerships among diverse sectors, including the community and interfaith based organizations in aid of the police.

Hence, revitalized PNP KASIMBAYANAN is an innovative measure to building peace to support social growth and development in communities. This allinclusive engagement can be an efficient way to resolve conflict among the people to advocate peace and generate more advanced and impressive governance. Likewise, said PNP initiated program provides a novel approach to fostering peace and progress for the benefit of the country and people.

Authorities of Police Regional Office 8 under the leadership of PBGEN ROMMEL FRANCISCO D MARBIL, Regional Director, arrested 53 Most Wanted Persons and 1,687 Other Law Violators during the regionwide conduct of police operations in the whole month of September 2022.

During the month-long intensified implementation of Warrants of Arrest, PRO 8 recorded a total of 53 arrests of Most Wanted Persons from the Regional/Provincial/City/ Municipal level and 438 Other Wanted Persons were also apprehended.

In the implementation of anti-illegal drug operations, 61 drug personalities were arrested with Php 1,421,866.81 worth of confiscated illegal drugs. Likewise, PRO 8 recorded 5 drug personalities who voluntarily surrendered.

Meanwhile, 1,127 individuals involved in illegal gambling were arrested with Php 408,018.75 worth of confiscated bet money. Also, 319 illegal fishers were nabbed and confiscated a Php 20,447,020 worth of fish and fishing paraphernalia during anti-illegal fishing operations.

In anti-illegal logging operations, 44 personalities were arrested with Php 236,594.40 worth of confiscated products.

In Oplan Kontra Boga, 17 illegal gun owners were arrested. Authorities were able to recover and confiscate 157 different firearms including those which were surrendered and turned in for safekeeping.

“We will not cease with our efforts of putting an end to every kind of illegal activity in our AOR no matter what,” MARBIL said.
