Talented teenagers showcased their quinceañera dresses, now available for rent or sale. This initiative not only offers beautiful gowns a second life but also empowers young girls to earn income from their dresses instead of letting them sit unused in a closet. Embracing the slow fashion movement, this project promotes sustainability by reducing waste and the environmental impact of fast fashion, which often involves pollution and underpaid labor. By choosing to rent or sell previously loved gowns, we support a more conscious approach to fashion that benefits both our society and the planet

Muchas chicas sueñan con organizar una gran fiesta donde puedan reunirse con su familia, vestirse como princesas y bailar con sus mejores amigas. Many girls dream of hosting a grand party where they can gather with family, dress like princesses, and dance with their best friends. However, my daughter Olivia Rintoul is not one of them. Despite being surrounded by the quinceañera culture, Olivia had different aspirations. She really wanted to go shopping in New York City with her best friend. And so, I decided to grant my youngest princess her wish, despite my mixed emotions and objections. We planned our trip during Thanksgiving week, hoping to take advantage of the fantastic sales. Surprisingly, I was able to make her wish come true with half the budget of a quinceañera party. My only request was that she allow me to take photos of her in a quinceañera dress.
On her birthday, we prepared to visit Lili's Creations, which kindly rented us a dress. I took photos, and thanks to the help of artificial intelligence, I was able to envision my princess in a beautiful ballroom. I treasured those memories through images I would have loved to see in person—one of her entering the event hall and another in the heart of Times Square, New York, where our hotel was located and where we created unforgettable memories alongside her best friend, Lilly. If there's one lesson I've learned in the world of quinceañeras, it's that no matter what you plan for your daughter's celebration, it's essential that it reflects her own desires and dreams.

A few weeks later, Priscilla began planning renovations Designers and architects visited, explaining that they required detailed measurements to start the drawings One afternoon, while hanging racks in a bedroom closet, she stumbled upon a long cardboard tube she had never noticed before Inside were the original architectural drawings the blueprints, measurements, and construction details of the home. She remains uncertain how they came to be there, feeling as if it was a whisper from the house itself, as though it were saying, “Finish me I chose you ”
Transformation With Purpose
Priscilla promptly revitalized the home with fresh paint, upgraded fixtures, and thoughtfully chosen furnishings. Within just 30 days, the home was ready, and by July 2018, it was listed as a vacation rental, quickly becoming a favorite. She devised a multi-phase improvement plan, with Phase 1 now complete:
A fully renovated backyard featuring new concrete, a built-in wet bar, gazebo seating, ambient lighting, and a gas fire pit
A transformed front courtyard with rustic benches and an additional fire pit
A sunset balcony redesigned as a tranquil retreat for morning coffee or breathtaking views at golden hour

Lucero Gómez, originaria de Guadalajara, Jalisco, siempre ha buscado un espacio para desarrollar sus habilidades, y lo encontró en la pintura, gracias a su padre Desde pequeña, era tímida, pero la pintura le permitió expresarse Recuerda que, en lugar de enviarle cartas a su padre, le mandaba dibujos
Hace ocho años, Lucero comenzó a impartir clases de pintura a personas de la tercera edad y en iglesias, a un costo muy accesible.
