The New Testament book of Hebrews was written to encourage Jewish Christ-followers facing considerable opposition. To some degree, those defending preborn life today in Michigan can relate. Respectively, each has had to contend with major political unrest, unparalleled religious polarization and, in some cases, brazen persecution. In response, it may be tempting to give up.

This is why, after making the case for the infinite superiority of Jesus Christ, the writer of this epistle reminds Christians from all generations to, “…hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23)

The work has never been more important—or more rewarding! In contrast to a year of mounting opposition, I’m excited to report that in our Medical Services department— where the team interacts each day with abortion-seeking, abortiondetermined women—they have reported more saved lives last year than any other year!

It’s partly because of this type of success that there is a concerted effort to significantly hamper the work of pregnancy centers in this state. Please continue to pray for us.

I believe that He who promised to be with us in every circumstance is both sovereign and faithful, and His victory is sure.

Willing to Wait® curriculum for middle and high schools

The Whole Sex Talk™ Biblically-based resource for parents and youth leaders

Our Upper Elementary program, Healthy Me, Healthy Relationships, is in demand. This year, we are projecting an additional 1,800 upper elementary students who will receive our instruction. Educators know that proactive instruction will help their students face the social challenges of their middle school years. We are encouraged to have the opportunity to build credibility and trust in our community as we provide sound teaching and the Biblical truth that students are valued always!

R ESPONSIVE MEDICAL CARE

Empowers women and men with information they need to make a life decision.

Our Medical Services department expanded to increase hours of operation, opening earlier and staying later. We also increased the number of days we can offer immediate access to ultrasound appointments. Offering a woman a same-day ultrasound appointment is a game changer!

THE RESULT:

a record high 285 lives saved ! We praise God for each one of those lives!

ULTRASOUNDS ARE GAME CHANGERS

When the ultrasound revealed that Reba* was almost into her third trimester, she began to cry. With shock in her eyes, she could barely speak.

Once back in the advocate room, Reba didn’t want to discuss parenting or adoption. She just wanted to know if abortion was still available to her in the state of Michigan. Unfortunately, the answer was yes. She left with a heavy heart.

We prayed “Lord, speak to Reba. Help her know that she and her preborn child are loved and valued. Help her know that you are the God of transformation.”

Later that week, our nurse called Reba to review her medical results. Reba shared that the ultrasound image of her baby kept playing over and over in her mind. Seeing that clear image of her baby touched her heart. She and her boyfriend had taken time to think it over and they decided to tell their families. They decided to continue her pregnancy and say “yes” to parenting!

Praise God! What a transformation!

Essential Mom & Baby Supplies Prayer

PRC is intentional about walking with moms who say “yes” to life. Through our Cradles of Grace program, we strive to connect these moms to the body of Christ so they can experience transformational change. This year we have seen encouraging growth! We now have eight Cradles of Grace locations (some with multiple groups). What started with 43 moms and 71 children just a few years ago, has doubled to 82 moms and 168 children! We praise God that Cradles of Grace moms are all-in committed! We know that the gift of Jesus within a community of believers is the best resource we can offer. It can transform a family’s legacy for generations to come!

Uncertain about their pregnancy, Tianna and Zion* first came to PRC for a pregnancy test and ultrasound. Even after deciding to continue with their pregnancy, Tianna was still vulnerable to doubt and indecision. Through much of her pregnancy, she struggled to accept the reality of a baby coming and she wondered if she would be a good mother. Tianna and Zion both needed to know they were not alone.

Together, they signed up for our First Steps program. Tianna is now excited about motherhood and Zion is more confident as he faces fatherhood. Each week, they faithfully meet with their mentor and complete various parenting classes. Tianna shared that now, she and Zion are eager to become responsible parents, and they feel ready and well-supplied. Everything is coming together and she feels peaceful, confident, and HOPEFUL!

SAMPLE TEXT: (Pray for PRC) Please pray for a woman who is in dire need of God’s intervention. She came to PRC already very abortion-minded and disclosed that she has an abortion scheduled for next week. She has several social and economic factors that are contributing toward this decision, and does not feel that she has the support needed to care for another child. Pray that God would open doors of opportunity for her and provide tangible resources that will ease her burdens. Please pray for His peace to sustain her as she walks through a very difficult season in her life, and for moments of joy that bring refreshment to her soul and spirit.

We have a wide variety of volunteer needs. Whatever your area of giftedness, we have a place for YOU. If you have a heart to serve the LORD and are interested in being part of a ministry where Christ is center, please connect with us. Our most immediate need is for volunteers to help clean our support offices and sorters who organize and sort donations of clothing and miscellaneous baby items. We give to PRC because we believe in the sacredness of human life. In addition, we give because PRC provides pregnant women hope in God by being the hands and feet of Christ. PRC’s extension of God’s love and acceptance, along with providing all types of support for both moms and babies, allows women to choose life knowing they are not alone. We believe so much in the ministry of PRC that for more than 12 years, Rick has used his financial talents to humbly serve on the board. For us, participating in PRC events has become part of our family’s DNA because we find joy in giving to a ministry that reflects the heart of Christ, serves women, and saves babies.

We also give to PRC because of our personal, God redeeming, story regarding Sarah’s birth and adoption. Sarah’s birth mother, Fay, became pregnant during her first year of college.

Prayer for Life

PLEASE JOIN US IN PRAYER.

We praise You, Father God, Creator, and Sustainer of all that is and all that is to come. Thank You for the gift of life and the gift of Your Son, Jesus, who makes eternal life with You possible.

Lord, You are the Spirit of Truth. Forgive us for embracing the lies of our culture. Through Your Holy Spirit, may we recognize these lies, value life, and obey the Truth that will set us free. Forgive us for fearing man instead of having a holy fear of You, Lord (Proverbs 9:10).

Father, You are the author of life. Every human being is created in Your very image and likeness. Please give the Church, Your Bride, courage to embrace and show the world the value of each human life.

We lift up PRC and other life-affirming ministries as they stand in the gap for those who have no voice and those who feel alone. As we unite with fellow believers and pray for life, give us love, boldness, and courage to stand up for each human life.

Lord, we exalt Your name over our local community and the state of Michigan, and we acknowledge that this battle is Yours, not ours. We ask that you lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil (Matthew 6:13). We pray that You would open the eyes of our understanding. Lord, give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You so that we might know the hope to which You have called us (Ephesians 1:17).

We pray that Your truth would be established in all nations so that there would be a billion-soul harvest. We pray that no weapon formed against Your truth would prosper and that every tongue that rises against You would be refuted (Isaiah 54:17).

Almighty Father, give us the courage to proclaim the supreme dignity of all human life. Help us not to become weary in doing good because You have promised a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9). We praise You for the lives saved because Roe v. Wade was overturned on June 24, 2022.

Father, there is still much work to do. Help us be faithful to proclaim the sanctity of human life.
