StayCool by Polygiene is now part of our offering, as a natural next step in our mission to enhance comfort and functionality in textiles. Previously, we focused on keeping fabrics fresher for longer by preventing odor buildup.
Now, we are taking innovation to the next level by offering StayCool by Polygiene – a moistureactivated cooling technology that provides a cool-to-the-touch sensation.
At Polygiene, we’re famous for preventing odors and keeping garments smelling fresh. Now, by adding this advanced cooling effect to our portfolio and combining it with our existing odor-control solutions, we offer a complete solution for enhanced comfort in sportswear, everyday clothing, and home textiles.

SUSTAINABILITY & CERTIFICATIONS

• Does not interfere with textile recycling processes.
• Can be combined with Polygiene StayFresh for
• Yarn: Compared to Yarn technologies; StayCool by Polygiene is cost effective and efficient solution. It does not have limitation of working with specific deniers/yarns and is more robust.
• Polyethylene yarns offer high thermal conductivity are cooler to touch but are uncomfortable to wear and very expensive.
• PCM / Wax based: Phase Change Technologies do not perform well in hot weather. Wax based Polymers will melt and transfer to skin in warm conditions, creating breathability issues and an uncomfortable feeling for the consumer.
• Menthol/Xylitol Menthol/Xylitol based technologies gives cooling sensation when comes in contact with sweat. Not recommended for sensitive skins and not everyone likes the tingling sensation. Not Durable.
StayCool by Polygiene is applicable on all fabrics/substrates and will give consistent and durable performance. Since the technology is applied at the last stage of production (during finishing) the effect is more even and durable.
StayCool by Polygiene is easy to apply and application be done by Pad-Dry, Exhaust, Spray, Garment Dip Extract etc.
• Treated and Untreated Fabric temperatures are measured and recorded using an infrared thermal imaging camera.
• The Treated and Untreated Fabric are placed on a human tester to simulate warm body temperatures.
• Three drops of Artificial Sweat/water are placed on each fabric to simulate human sweat.
• The thermal imaging camera is calibrated to take temperature readings at each water droplet.
• 45-60 seconds after the droplets are applied, a temperature reading is taken.
• The average temperature of the three droplets on the Treated is compared to the average temperature on the Untreated.
• Water droplets on fabric treated with StayCool will measure a lower temperature compared to the Untreated Fabric.
