People.

Kay Tadjoedin - Corporate Marketing Communications What is your current role, and how long have you been working in this position? This March marks the first year I have worked in Plataran Indonesia, and what a proud year it has been. I am responsible for taking care of the Marketing Communication department, which consists of maintaining the brand identity and strengthen brand awareness through how we communicate with our clientele and beyond. What motivates you to work in the hospitality industry? Living and based in Bali, always spark my curiosity in the industry that has become the backbone of this Island because it has so many impacts on the local community and its contribution to their prosperity. When the pandemic hits, it challenged me to work in this industry and take part in its revival to restore their glory. How do you motivate your team to Think Fresh and Act fast in this pandemic era? To maintain a balanced life. Keeping sharp-minded, but don’t forget to decompress and reset. Because I believe in a healthy body and mind, we can give birth to the most creative ideas while following through until completion. What are your hopes for 2021 for the hospitality industry in Indonesia? My hope is this challenge will ‘make’ rather than ‘break’ us. And the industry will prevail with better quality improvement, so we will be ready to welcome the reward when the time has come. I hope that the industry will come out stronger, infused with humility and more agile, infused with patience.
