CEO’S Message Dear special guests, friends and supporters, On behalf of everyone at Plataran Indonesia, allow me wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2020, the year of the rat in the Chinese calendar. 2019 was quite a hectic but rewarding year for all of us at Plataran. We received a number of prestigious international awards and opened several new venues in some great locations. These new projects, each of which is a fantastic destination in its own right, have received a very positive response so far from the market. The year began with a new addition to our growing list of Venue & Dining establishments - Plataran at Canggu. In addition, Plataran Canggu itself has been extended to new adjoining land, providing this authentic Balinese resort and MICE facility with additional outdoor dining spaces, garden and parking area to strengthen its profile as one of Canggu’s favorite venues. In the second quarter of 2019, we opened the Kinandari Wedding Deck at Plataran Bromo; perched high above the clouds and with amazing views over the mountains, this is a place where young couples can start their journey together in a truly spectacular setting. We also launched Mata Langit Venue & Dining in the Menoreh Hills near Candirejo Village, which is indisputably the best site from which to view the Borobudur Temple, along with six mountains and the Progo River from above the clouds. In the month of August, we welcomed Indonesia’s president, Bapak Joko Widodo, to stay at Plataran Heritage Borobudur Hotel. Pak Jokowi also took the opportunity to confirm his government’s plans to highlight the area as one of Indonesia’s four ‘top-premium’ destinations, in a limited cabinet meeting held on the deck of Plataran Borobudur Resort. We are personally honored to play our part in this project, by sharing Borobudur’s unique wonders with the world and developing sustainable livelihoods for local people. The year came to a close with the opening of Plataran’s Icon of Jakarta – Hutan Kota by Plataran, also known as Plataran Senayan. It immediately attracted both national and international attention. Dubbed the “Light of Nusantara”, this 3.2-hectare holistic hospitality garden venue is located in the prime central business district of Jakarta. It provides visitors with a wide array of classic Indonesian cuisine, casual Asian and Western dining, a range of excellent MICE facilities and Plataran’s famous ‘Encounter’ programs, such as the Plataran Cooking Class, Bird Feeding, and Plataran Goes Fit. One of our landmark achievements in 2019 was the recognition given to Plataran L’Harmonie as the winner of a Global Human Settlement Award in Planning & Design at the United Nations’ 14th Global Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS). This accolade was acknowledgment of our expertise in blending nature and human settlements with green and sustainable development. We’d like to thank all of you for the endless support you have shown to Indonesia and to Plataran; rest assured that we will continue providing our national and international guests and customers with products, destination venues, encounters and personalized services that celebrate the richness and diversity of Indonesian culture and cuisine. As true Indonesians, we are optimistic for further development in the hospitality sector this year, in spite of the bleak economic forecast for 2020. We will share with you, from time to time, updates on our upcoming projects and services for this year through our news bulletins. Destination. Hutan Kota by Plataran – Light of Nusantara Just recently unveiled to the public in December 2019, the new place to be in Jakarta is Hutan Kota by Plataran. This innovative and holistic hospitality complex celebrates Indonesia’s past, showcases its present looks ahead to its future. With a mission to bring the ‘Light of Nusantara’ to Jakarta, Hutan Kota by Plataran is the one and only destination in the city that combines nature, culture, cuisine and conservation, showcasing the unique cultural heritage of Indonesia and contributing to the greening of its capital. Located in Senayan at the Gelora Bung Karno complex (GBK), the venue is a leafy oasis amid Jakarta’s bustling business district, covering an area of 3.5 hectares and with a total capacity for up to 2,000 people. The project is divided into four carefully and thoughtfully designed main compounds, comprising Tiga Dari Restaurant, Pidari Coffee Lounge, Melati Glass House and the Putri Dewi Amphitheater. Tiga Dari restaurant is Plataran’s offering to the discerning urbanites of Indonesia’s capital. Featuring four main dining areas - Puspa Dining, Terrace Dining, Anggrek Bulan and Merah Putih this one-stop destination is ideal for sophisticated dining, celebratory occasions, conferences and corporate events. The Pidari Coffee Lounge is a state-of-the-art new café, featuring the spectacular Langit Nusantara Rooftop. Framed by skyscrapers and the night sky, this is the place to get together with friends and colleagues over a few drinks, or simply unwind and admire the view. Guests at Hutan Kota by Plataran can witness the glory of Indonesia via dazzling shows and exhibitions at The Sriwedari Pool Park, Putri Dewi Amphitheatre and the Majapahit Tribute Park. Furthermore, Hutan Kota by Plataran provides large parking areas, a pedestrianized area, jogging track, golf cart & VIP van services, tribute garden and totems, mini basketball court, an expression wall platform and the Plataran pets playground. In tribute to native Indonesian flora and fauna, the site includes a green and nature-connected space, where visitors will find fishponds, tree planting projects and free-range birds such as pigeons and pearl chickens. On 19 December 2019, Plataran Indonesia officially unveiled Hutan Kota by Plataran (HKP), – an elegant dining and events venue located within Jakarta’s verdant Gelora Bung Karno Park (GBK). Also known as Plataran Senayan (PLS), the project seeks to honour Indonesia’s past, while also celebrating its present and looking ahead to the future. Inspired by a concepts of “History, Nature, Culture and the Glory of Indonesia,” this innovative and prestigious new property has been designed to bring a touch of green to the big city, celebrating the nation’s heritage, nature and culture under its tagline: Light of Nusantara. Plataran Senayan become a light to Indonesia, be it for citizens, travelers, country leaders or international friends of the government.

To Compliment, Not Compete On 3 December 2019, Plataran Indonesia’s founder, Yozua Makes, introduced the group’s latest project to local business owners in Senayan, with a promise that it would help rather than hinder their operations. In a move that’s indicative of Plataran’s commitment to find harmony with its surroundings – whether national parks, heritage sites or urban commercial districts – the first people to get a glimpse of the group’s latest project, named Hutan Kota by Plataran, were its neighbors. Although the building is not due to open its doors to the public for another week, Mr. Yozua Makes and his wife, Ibu Dewi, invited a select group of local shopkeepers, F&B vendors and small business owners for an exclusive tour of the site, introducing them to the facilities, grounds and dining spaces that will soon make Hutan Kota by Plataran Jakarta’s hottest new dining and events venue. Standing in the venue’s new lobby, amid the building materials and scaffolding that confirm Hutan Kota by Plataran remains a work in progress, Mr. Makes presented Plataran’s vision of the project to his guests, and outlined its potential to dovetail nicely with their own business interests. For example, the increased

upmarket traffic is expected to generate extra revenue for local businesses, as Hutan Kota by Plataran patrons’ drivers, assistants and general retinue overflow to the surrounding vendors in GBK. The delegation of local business owners and workers were then treated to a tour of the site, exploring its grounds, kitchens and dining rooms, where they got a sneak peak of Hutan Kota by Plataran. Located within Gelora Bung Karno complex (GBK) in Senayan, Hutan Kota by Plataran sets out to celebrate Indonesia’s past while also looking ahead to its future. With a mission to bring the ‘Light of Nusantara’ to Jakarta, it will become the only destination in the capital that combines nature, culture, cuisine and conservation, showcasing the unique cultural heritage of Indonesia and contributing to the greening of its capital.
