Destination. Plataran EcoTourism In support of the Indonesian government’s tourism revival program, Plataran has created a series of eco-tourism activities and campaigns, centered on West Bali National Park. Over the next few months, Plataran Menjangan will be the staging point for a wide range of packages, events and promotions, catering to travelers in search of restorative breaks in nature. These getaways in the greenery of West Bali will feature a blend of exercise, nutrition and holistic wellness. West Bali National Park is the epicenter of eco-tourism in Indonesia. An internationally acclaimed destination, it is the hub of many conservation programs and community outreach projects. Our #BersahabatDenganAlam campaign presents West Bali as an emerging destination in Indonesia for travelers with a love of culture, nature, wellness and wildlife. Programs highlight on-going environmental activities – such as protection of the endangered Jalak Bali species – and showcase the region as a tourism destination that’s also perfect for sports and recreation. Focusing on domestic tourists, our #BersahabatDenganAlam campaign is split into three components: Nature, Sports, and Culture & Community. From February through April 2021, West Bali National Park will host a calendar of events, including tree planting, mangrove seeding and bird adoption programs; Fit in the Forest, featuring triathlons, marathons and bike rides; and Charming West Bali, which showcases the arts and crafts of the region, along with a photography contest and English lessons for local kids. With all this and more to discover, there’s never been a better time to #GoWestBali!
