CEO’S Message Dear special guests, friends and supporters, I hope this finds you in good health and feeling hopeful for the future. At Plataran, we’re certainly looking forward to the next few months. As part of our commitment to the health and wellness of our guests, we’ve just launched a new sports tourism package which combines luxury accommodation, wellness and dining with sports entertainment activities. We call this package Tour de Indonesian Icon. This month marks the start of spring; a time for celebration and revival, with brighter days ahead. Coming up in the calendar is the Easter holiday and Ramadan – the interconnecting holidays are a great time for spending quality time with family at Plataran resorts, and we’ll be ready to welcome guests again this year for a restful getaway. Whether celebrating Easter or Ramadan with us, we look forward to welcoming you with comfortable accommodation, delicious cuisine and restorative spa therapy. Sticking with the springtime theme, we’re celebrating new growth and green shoots over at West Bali National Park, where Plataran Menjangan continues to be the epicenter of ecotourism in Indonesia. In support of the government’s revival program, we’ve created a series of packages, events and promotions for travelers looking to get back to nature. Featuring a mix of conservation, exercise, traditional culture and holistic wellness activities, our #BersahabatDenganAlam campaign will showcase the very best of Bali in the weeks ahead. The beginning of March also marks a year since the arrival of Covid-19 in Indonesia, leading to restrictions that have challenged the tourism sector like never before. Now, one year later, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. The government’s mass vaccination program is already well underway, with 180 million people expected to have achieved immunity by the end of this year. Plataran welcomes this program as the fastest route back to normality, and we will continue doing everything we can to support the government in its continued implementation. We encourage all readers, guests, partners and friends to get the vaccine as soon as you can, and in the meantime, to remain diligent in observing social distancing and the use of personal protective gear such as masks and sanitizer. Together, we will come through this difficult time and emerge stronger, more prosperous and more peaceful as a result. The pandemic may have been a marathon, and we are pushing through with focused mind fueled with passion. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, stay optimistic and be responsible as we enter the home stretch.
