or those with property whether it be an empty lot of land, farm land or land for commercial use, you are probably familiar with both the land and building maintenance taxes and may be wondering why such taxes are duplicated and how they are collected. The

government tax offices saw it fit to update these tax laws on June 7th 2016 to benefit local authorities with a higher tax income in order to perform more public services and help close the wealth-poverty gap.

Though the government tax offices see last year’s tax laws as fitting and have updated such laws in May of this year, the new updates will not be ready and effective until next year. Let’s take a look at the updated land and building tax laws.

Farm land tax is set at a maximum tax rate of 0.2%. Land valued at under 50 million Baht will not be taxed. Land valued from 50-100 million Baht is taxed at 0.05%. Lastly, land and building valued at a total of over 100 million baht will be taxed a minimum of 0.10%.

Land for commercial use is set at a maximum tax rate of 2.0%. Land valued at less than 20 million Baht will be taxed 0.3%. Land and total property valued from 20-50 million Baht will be taxed 0.5%. Land and total property valued from 50-100 million Baht will be taxed 0.7%. Land and total property valued from 100m-1 billion Baht will be taxed 0.9%. Land and total property valued from 1-3 billion Baht will be taxed 1.2%. Land and total property valued at 3 billion Baht or more will be taxed a minimum of 1.5%.

Empty lots of land are set at a maximum tax rate of 5.0%. The first 3 years will be taxed 1% followed by years 4-6 at 2% and at year 7 a starting rate of 3%.

None the less land taxes will be more effectively executed in order to improve land value. When the updated land tax laws are made effective next year every lot of land and building will be fitly taxed according to their rates rather than their specifications. However, in the event that some land is at loss, recently paid or behind payment, previous laws may still be enforced for such instances.

Looking into the Value of Both

Have we overinvested ourselves for money?

Workaholics may consider money to buy happiness, but can it really buy anything?

M

any things in our lives cost money, in fact if you live in a capitalistic society it is really the most important thing to survive. Whether it’s a place to stay, food to eat or various conveniences, it will all cost you money.

It’s really not a matter of choosing between money and time but rather learning how to balance the two. Will we choose the job that leaves us with just enough time to sleep and our wallet full or the job that opens are day up with little money to spend.

“Time is money” is a quite popular business concept.

“Time is money” has been a teaching used to motivate us to work hard and earn our living. Many attribute this quote to Benjamin Franklin an American scientist and President. He was the man to discover electricity and wrote many proverbs in his article “Advice to a Young Tradesman”. It is this article that he famously wrote “time is money”, if you skip half a day of work your wages will be cut in half, therefore if you waste your time you will also waste money.

The idea that time is also valuable has been around for a long time. In ancient Greece the concept was founded that “time is precious”. However, this was far before a capitalistic society was ever known.

Nowadays, people are much more familiar with pricing time based on their current hourly wages.

Therefore today’s mindset has commoditized time by treating it as a form of currency.

This means considering time as a tradable article of value for whatever we need whether it be happiness, health or even love. No matter what it is, we

can trade time for it.

So if we create a balanced life, we will in return create a happy life?

Money isn’t everything, but if we could choose it’d be money?

We live in a world that mostly runs off money. At the same time we may feel that money isn’t everything and if asked most people would give the nicer answer that is time.

However, when it comes to the surveys most people give their honest answer which put money on top.

There was a study case called “People Who Choose Ti m e O v e r M o n e y A r e Happier” that was published in a magazine as “Social Psychology and Personality Science” an American survey of people’s choice between money and time.

Results revealed that 64% of those surveyed roughly 4500 people chose money.

But money can’t be the answer because it’s time that brings us happiness right?

So you may be wondering why the study case was named “People Who Choose Time Over Money Are Happier”.

Well, the survey results also showed that those who chose time also tended to be happier as well.

Researchers shared that in regards to time’s impact on money, it really all depends on what we place our value in and so our happiness is more so based upon what we truly want.

Therefore it looks like time is essentially the starting capital that everyone begins with and money is that which must be traded for, so if we focus more on what we really want rather than money itself then we will be more likely to be happy.

American survey results also showed that those in their later years are more likely to choose time over money while the younger generations often choose just the opposite.

Besides American surveys, researchers from the University of British Columbia in Canada also did a similar survey covering 4,600 cases. Case results also showed that older generations chose time while the newer upcoming generations chose money.

However, the surveys still may not take into account every factor. For example, those in the older generations may already be quite wealthy and therefore would like more time instead.

So really you’d probably need money first to say this.

Focused Social Media Drives Our Society Prab's Thoughts

eavy public issues such as environmental campaigns or protests against serious injustices, everyone has the chance to join their voices for change.

Most recently, change.org has 179,012,091 users from 196 different countries in every region. This vastly diverse voice has the ability to move the social world towards a better future.

You may ask in what ways has the social media changed society?

In Phuket our very own home we have some excellent examples. For starters, the Facebook page “The People’s Voice Phuket” has reflected on many various issues in Phuket whether it’s been waste water, road decay, trespassing etc. through this page the people’s voice has well been able to accelerate the government’s actions towards solutions.

Also, the “traffic Line groups” in Phuket comprise of over 500 different Line groups able to instantly share and notify authorities directly concerning various traffic incidents/issues providing faster solutions.

In my opinion, our home still has many issues that are yet to be properly voiced or even mentioned. However the main issues though small to some such as traffic accidents, litter, waste water and tourist safety are truly key points in directing our tourist town towards becoming a world class tourist destination in the future.

The traffic accidents on Phuket roads are currently at 2 fatalities every 3 days. These are very heavy numbers and it will take the whole island tightening up on traffic laws in order to change it around.

In the same way, litter in Phuket is at 800 tons a day which costs 520 Baht a ton to dispose of and 160 Baht annually. This doesn’t even include labor costs or the capital needed for the machinery necessary which falls in the billions. However, I believe

ที่ฯ ท�ำให้ การแก้ ปัญหาเป็ นไปอย่างรวดเร็ ว นอกจากนันยั ้ งมี โซเซียลกลุ่มจิตอาสา กลุ่ม สร้ างก�ำลังใจต่างๆ อีกมากมายสารพัดกลุม่ พูดได้ ว่าภูเก็ตบ้ านเรา ก็ไม่ ขาดแคลน โซเชียลมีเดียที่จะขับเคลื่อนสังคมให้ ดขี นึ ้ หรอกครั บ!! ในความเห็นของผม บ้ านเรายังมีเรื่ องที่ ต้ องรณรงค์ เพื่อให้ เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงอยู่ หลายเรื่ อง แต่ที่เป็ นเรื่ องหลักๆ ก็เป็ นปั ญหา พื ้นฐานอย่างการเสียชีวิตจากอุบตั เิ หตุบน ท้ องถนน, ปั ญหาขยะ, น�ำ้ เสีย, หรื อกระทัง่ การเฝ้า ระวัง แหล่ ง ท่ อ งเที่ ย ว ให้ เ กิ ด ความ ปลอดภัยสูงสุด บางปั ญหาอาจดูแล้ วเล็กๆ แต่ก็สง่ ผลกระ ทบต่อภาพลักษณ์ของการเป็ นเมืองท่องเที่ยว ของภูเก็ตระดับเวิลด์คลาสในระยะยาว อย่าง ปั ญหาอุบตั เิ หตุบนท้ องถนนในจังหวัดภูเก็ต ที่ มีอตั ราการเสียชีวติ เฉลีย่ 3 วันต่อ 2 คน มีนเป็ น ความสูญเปล่าที่พวกเราสามารถมีสว่ นร่วมใน การแก้ ไขได้ ด้วยการ ร่วมกันรณรงค์ให้ เกิดการ ปฏิบตั ติ ามกฎหมายจราจรอย่างเข้ มข้ น เช่นเดียวกับปั ญหาขยะในภูเก็ต ที่เกิดขึ ้น วันละ 800 ตัน มีคา่ ใช้ จา่ ยในการก�ำจัดตันละ 520 บาท รวมแล้ วปี ละ 160 บาทที่ต้องจ่าย ยังไม่นบั รวม ค่าแรงงาน และเครื่ องมือที่ต้อง ลงทุนกันเป็ นพันล้ านบาท ผมคิดว่าถ้ ารณรงค์ กันอย่างจริ งๆ ให้ เกิดระบบคัดแยกขยะ สร้ าง กติกาบทลงโทษที่เหมาะสมส�ำหรับคนที่สร้ าง ปั ญหาให้ สว่ นรวม โดยใช้ โซเชียลมีเดียทีแต่ละ คนมีอยูช่ ว่ ยกันเต็มที่ น่าจะลดปริ มาณขยะลง ได้ อย่างน้ อย 30-40 % สามารถยืดอายุระบบ ก�ำจัดขยะของภูเก็ต ออกไปได้ อีกพอสมควร ทีเดียว และถึงแม้ จะมีกระแสด้ านลบของการใช้ โซ

conomic Intelligence Center (EIC) at Siam Commercial Bank revealed 3 main “Megatrends” that are driving tourism in Thailand. The 3 megatrends include 1. Elderly tourists 2.Tourism industry development in many countries and 3.Digital technology development. As for now, Phuket Times would like to focus on the elderly tourists trend while the other two trends will be written in later issues.

Mr. Withan Charernpol, the Director of the Business Cluster EIC stated that the main tourist market across the globe is often provided by countries that have developed a good “elderly society” with over 20% of their population being elderly (60 years up). The top 10 Countries with the highest level of tourism spending are mostly highly developed countries with a large number of elderly population such as Germany and the United Kingdom. As for China, though it has the highest level of tourism spending, it is not yet in the “good elderly society” category though expected to have an elderly population of 25% in the year 2030. Even more so, the elderly tourist demographic has grown exponentially in recent years compared to other age groups.

For example, the United Kingdom has seen elderly traveling to other countries up from 18% to 25% in the years 2009-2015. Also, the numbers

One Belt One Road The Newest Route of the 21st Century

S

ome may have heard of the “One Belt One Road (OBOR) project since its announcement by Mr. Xi Jinping while he was visiting Indonesia in his 2013 ASEAN trip. The aim of the project was to improving shipping lines by both land and sea between China and its neighboring countries.

In result, through better connected neighboring trade China will be able to regain the proud economy it once had.

The One Belt One Road project includes building a new land route towards the west coast with both a road and train track. In addition, the sea route would be expanded to connect 3 continents including Africa, Europe and Asia all in one.

The route will incorporate m a s s i v e c o n st r u c t i o n projects including new ports, roads, train tracks and gas and oil pipelines.

Lloyd & Partners Ltd, one of the world leading agencies in company insurance estimates the project’s budget at around 4 trillion U.S Dollars.

McKinsey & Company business consulting stated

that this 21st century route will have a great impact on the restoration of the international economy c o n s i d e r i n g C h i n a ’s numbers cover 65% of the world’s population with the world’s 3rd highest national GDP. However, many economic a n a l y st s h a v e t h e i r st i p u l a t i o n s a b o u t t h e project’s potential of success due to the level of mass communications necessary, Southern China Sea conflicts and the value of such a massive investment cost.

Most importantly, OBOR will be supported by the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement:TPP which is the largest joint trade partnership in the world run by the U.S joining the biggest Asian economic powers including Japan, South Korea and Australia.

The partnership has also joined neighboring countries such as Vietnam, Singapore, Brunei and Malaysia.

The 21st Century Route project by China has a truly significant part in China’s plan towards stepping up to become the world’s most

powerful economy.

HKT Sends Local Media to Report the Suvarnabhumi International Airport Phase 2 Project

e c e n t l y, P h u k e t International Airport requested the Phuket Times team to go observe the progress of Suvarnabhumi International Airport’s Phase 2 Project in Bangkok. Currently the project is still finishing the expansions utilities and is set to be fully operational in 2019.

Special Operation Authorities confiscate over 20M Baht of unlicensed Products after Copyright Crackdown

pecial Operation Criminal Investigation teams, the Offices of Investigation and Legal Affairs and related authorities partnered with the Phuket military, the Department of Intellectual Property and sales representatives in order to inspect and investigate unlicensed products sold on Patong Beach. The Patong Beach area known as the Notorious Market had 10 different locations in violation of copyright sales. Unlicensed products confiscated included bags, shoes and apparel with fake or copied brand logos. Over 10,000 articles of clothing, shoes and bags were confiscated along with the arrest of shop workers accumulating a total value loss of over 20M Baht.

The workers along with confiscated products will undergo further legal case procedures.

tarting on May 15th, vehicle inspection laws for vans will be restricted to only 13 seats allowing for a rear emergency exit. The rear exit must have a passage way at a width of a minimum of 20 centimeters. This additional exit is required to improve the safety of both passengers and cargo.

The emergency exit must also have written in Thai reflective characters sizing no less than 5 centimeters tall the words “emergency exit”.

ecent reports revealed Rifath Shaarook an 18 year old boy from India as the winner of the “Cubes in Space” competition by NASA. Rifath Shaarook designed the world’s smallest satellite weighing only 64 kilograms. He named the tiny satellite “Kalam Sat” after the President of India Abdul Kalam who forwarded the progress of aviation science in India. Therefore NASA has decided to take the Kalam Sat into real life testing by sending it into space for 12 minutes this June.

The satellite will be equipped with a

computer and 8 sensors to evaluate and record the satellites performance while under the orbital and magnetic forces of space. As for Rifath, he is from Tamil Nadu and is a part of Space Kidz India in Chennai, India.

The Kalam Sat project is actually not his first success, but it was his helium weather forecasting balloon that he built when he was just 15 years old that originally got him into the Space Kidz India program.

Recently, Mr. Supachai Watanaprintorn, the Chairman of the Tour Guide Association and representatives from both Phang Nga and Krabi submitted a complaint requesting the investigation of the conduct and actions of the foreign tour guides with documentation involved in the incident to preserve the image of Thailand’s tourism.

The 22 Chinese tourists were abandoned by their tour guides on May 2, 2017 causing them great distress. The tourists then contacted their tour agency’s authorities in China regarding

These centers are quite popular for cheap and convenient food that is both attractive to foreigners and economical for locals.

Dr. Niramol Kulsrisombat the Director of the Urban Design and Development Center recommended the State to push further research of the issue to gain a better solution for the success of the Hawker Center in Singapore.

The Hawker Center in Singapore was established as an economical solution to street food service about 60 years ago. The government invested a budget of roughly $1 million U.S and today there are 113 Hawker Center locations all over the island set as a public service system similar to that of a public park or market.

Fully functional public utilities including water, electric and refrigeration all for a low rental cost worry free of governmental inspection and permits caused the Hawker Center to quickly grow into a successful public service system.

Looking back 60 years, Lee Kuan Yew the P.M of Singapore announced the “Clean and Green Singapore” policy which cracked down on street peddlers and vendors under the notion that it was a common cause of contagious disease.

“However, this suppression of street food services didn’t succeed due to the mass rise of unemployment inthelower class and the inability to reach upper class professionals to fill the gap.”

Dr. Kulsrisombat lastly shared that the State should carry out a thorough research study on the various aspects of the Hawker Center in order to see its benefits on every level including local livelihood, national economy, tourism and cultural properties in order to set the correct measures necessary to solve the issue for the long run.

The Hawker Center is a two-sided coin and the State must understand that while creating solutions for the future, the present existence and benefits must not be ignored.

Stylish Thai Dining at Ban Panwa Restaurant in a “Colonial Seaside Setting” at Cape Panwa Hotel (Phuket)

oday we would like to recommend all the “dining lovers’ out there of a fantastic Southern/ Central Thai style restaurant that will have you filled up on a variety of dishing under a rather quaint landscape with an excellent taste that can only be confirmed by its “Oriental” branding.

Here you’ll find two sets of menus, the southern style menu includes stir fried crab curry, fried shrimp with tamarind sauce, special southern fish curry, shrimp kebabs and lemongrass fried fish.

While the central style menu hits more on traditional Thai seafood with chili and ginger seasoning such as shrimp Tom Yam, grilled duck curry, stir fried morning glory, leaf wrapped chicken and fried shrimp. The “Rural College” of Sustainable Economics

he Traditional Farming Education Center in Ban Jamrung, Klang District of Rayong Province is home to many wonderfully grown products such as durian and rubber trees. I (Bao Jang) would like to share with you a little bit of my trip out at this “Rural College” a perfect example of sustainable economics.

The Center has been a tourist destination for many interested in learning about traditional farming techniques that have stood the test of time in creating a reasonable and effective livelihood. The farming business here alone has had just a beautiful impact on the growth of the local community by making the most of every square meter of land.

The products grown here have been distributed through OTOP a nationwide small business entrepreneurship. Some of the products include chili sauce, fish sauce, fried durian, vegetables and herbs etc. All products are naturally grown free of chemicals and due to their great success have drawn in people from all over who are interested in learning such farming techniques. In fact, there are over a 1000 people who travel here for this very reason on a day to day basis.

Therefore, you will find homestays and farm tours all set for those interested in coming and learning the traditional farming practices. The success of these local farming techniques is based on the sustainable economics concept which trains people to have a more independent and reliable mindset in building their own business.

I myself would like everyone to find the opportunity to come out and experience first-hand what it is really like here. For me it has really challenged my thinking and has even encouraged me to boldly try new things because honestly you never know what the future could hold.

Forever Flowers

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever. Isaiah 40:8 As a toddler, my son Xavier enjoyed giving me flowers.

I appreciated every freshly picked weed or store-bought blossom he purchased with his dad. I treasured each gift until it wilted and had to be thrown away.

One day, Xavier gave me a beautiful bouquet of artificial flowers. He grinned as he arranged the silk white calla lily, yellow sunflower, and purple hydrangea in a glass vase. “Look, Mommy,” he said. “They’ll last forever.

That’s how much I love you.”

We can trust God’s unchanging love.

Since then, my boy has grown into a young man. Those silk petals have frayed. The colors have faded. Still, the Forever Flowers remind me of his adoration. And there is something else it brings to mind—one thing that truly stands forever—the limitless and lasting love of God, as revealed in His infallible and enduring Word (Isa. 40:8).

As the Israelites faced continual trials, Isaiah comforted them with confidence in God’s enduring words (40:1). He proclaimed that God paid the debt caused by the Israelites’ sin (v. 2), securing their hope in the coming Messiah (vv.

3–5). They trusted the prophet because his focus remained on God rather than their circumstances.

In a world filled with uncertainties and affliction, the opinions of man and even our own feelings are evershifting and as limited as our mortality (vv. 6–7). Still, we can trust God’s unchanging love and character as revealed through His constant and eternally true Word.

ดอกไม้ เสมอไป.... หญ้ านันก็ ้ เหี่ยวแห้ ง ดอกไม้ นนก็ ั ้ ร่วงโรยไป แต่พระวจนะของพระเจ้ าของเราจะยัง่ ยืน อยูเ่ ป็ นนิตย์ - อิสยาห์ 40:8 ซาเวียร์ ลูกชายวัยเตาะแตะชอบยื่นดอกไม้ ให้ ฉนั ฉันชื่นใจทุกครัง้ ที่ได้ รับดอกไม้ จาก ลูก ไม่วา่ จะเป็ นดอกหญ้ าหรื อดอกไม้ ที่เขากับพ่อซื ้อมาจากร้ านค้ า ฉันรักษาไว้ อย่างดีจน มันเหี่ยวแห้ งและต้ องทิ ้งไป วันหนึง่ ซาเวียร์ เอาช่อดอกไม้ ประดิษฐ์ มาให้ ฉนั เขายิ ้มมุมปากในขณะที่ใส่ดอกไม้ ลง ในแจกันแก้ ว “แม่ฮะ ดูสิ ดอกไม้ พวกนี ้จะอยูต่ ลอดไป เหมือนที่ผมรักแม่ไง” เวลาผ่านไป ลูกชายของฉันโตเป็ นหนุม่ ดอกไม้ ผ้าไหมเหล่านันหลุ ้ ดรุ่ย สีซดี แต่ ‘ดอกไม้ ตลอดไป’ นีย้ งั คงท�ำให้ ฉันคิดถึงความรักของลูกชาย และคิดถึงสิ่งที่จะคงอยู่ตลอดไป แน่นอน นัน่ คือความรักของพระเจ้ าที่ยงั่ ยืนและไร้ ขีดจ�ำกัด ดังปรากฏในพระค�ำที่ด�ำรงอยู่ นิรันดร์ และไม่ผิดพลาด ขณะที่ชนชาติอิสราเอลเผชิญปั ญหาครัง้ แล้ วครัง้ เล่า อิสยาห์ปลอบโยนพวกเขาให้ มัน่ ใจในถ้ อยค�ำอันยัง่ ยืนของพระเจ้ า (อสย.40:1) ท่านประกาศว่าพระเจ้ าทรงชดใช้ หนี ้ บาปของอิสราเอลแล้ ว (อสย.40:2) ให้ ความมัน่ ใจในความหวังถึงการเสด็จมาของพระเมส สิยาห์ (อสย.40:3-5) คนอิสราเอลวางใจในผู้เผยพระวจนะ เพราะท่านมุง่ มองไปยังพระเจ้ า มากกว่าสถานการณ์ ในโลกที่เต็มไปด้ วยความไม่แน่นอนและความทุกข์ ความคิดเห็นของมนุษย์หรื อแม้ แต่ ความรู้สกึ ของเราก็จ�ำกัดและผันแปรตลอดเวลา (ยรม.40:6-7) ทว่าเรายังคงวางใจได้ เสมอ ในความรักและพระลักษณะอันไม่เปลี่ยนแปลงของพระเจ้ า ที่เปิ ดเผยทางพระวจนะแห่ง ความจริ งที่ถาวรนิรันดร์ พระเจ้ า ทรงยื น ยัน ความรั ก ของพระองค์ ผ่ า นทางพระวจนะที่ เ ชื่ อ ถื อ ได้ และไม่ เปลี่ยนแปลง ซึง่ มัน่ คงอยูใ่ นเวลานี ้และตลอดไปเป็ นนิตย์

n May 23rd 2017 in Ban Wanit, Ratsada, Phuket Mr. Aphirak Wanit the President of the B u n r o d - E k a p h o t Wa n i t Foundation along with Mrs. AnchaleeWanit a former member of the Ratsada Assembly and Vice-President of the Foundation handed out education scholarships at the 21st Annual Scholarship Ceremony. The event was o rg a n i z e d t o h o n o r 2 0 outstanding students for their academic success despite their financial situation. The scholarship money awarded at the event totaled 78,000 Baht.

The Bunrod-EkaphotWanit Foundation was registered as a foundation on December 13th 1996 by the Offices of the National Cultural Council.

The registration was paid at 2 million Baht and the Foundation was made effective in the following year of 1997.

The foundation has always been aimed towards funding students who are financially struggling in order to strengthen the local community and culture. Students selected for funding must be diligent in their studies and show good conduct. In the past 20 years the foundation has handed out 487 scholarships totaling 1,610,800 Baht.

As for the 2017 year, the foundation awarded 20 scholarships to students as follows: 2 scholarships towards primary school at

2,000 each, 2 scholarships towards secondary school underclassmen at 3,300 each, 4 scholarships towards secondary school upperclassmen at 4,000 each, 3 scholarships towards career college underclassmen at 4,000 each, 2 scholarships towards career college upperclassmen at 4,000 and finally 5 scholarships towards university level students at 5,000 each.

“The scholarships awarded today are given in the hopes that each student will apply it to best of his or her potential.

The scholarships have been carefully considered by the leaders of the foundation in order to push towards our goals of better education and quality of life. May those who have received scholarships today be diligent in their studies, always patient, persistent and ready to breakthrough any obstacle and create their own success. For their academic success will be the fruit of our city and nation in the future.”

The pageant was held at Central Festival Mall in Phuket on May 27-28th gathering over 100 nominees in a spectacular showing.

The event was organized by Mr. Anurat Kosakul (Kwang) the Prince & Princess Thailand Event Coordinator who also took part as a judge in the pageant. The goal the event was to hand select southern Thais with the potential to represent our local pride on a national and even international scale.

The pageant awarded 6 titles as follows: 1. NongCheetar: 5 year old boy born and raised in Phuket charmed the judges with his smarts gaining him the title Mini Mister Phuket Thailand 2017 2. elax @ Ramani has been a special treasure of Kapong Phang Nga for a long while now. In fact, Ramani Hot Spring has become a very popular tourist destination as well as natural healing ground. Believe it or not, taking a dip in this spring can heal a variety of diseases including Beriberi, Rheumatoid arthritis, paralysis and more. If you get the chance to come out in the early morning you will be able to see the sunrise over the mountainous landscape as well. Also, every Saturday the local market sets out different kinds of healthy herbs and vegetables. Lastly, for those interested in making a trip out, the hot spring is actually conveniently located along the highway between Surat Thani and Phang Nga. The hot spring entry fee is 20 baht for locals and 50 baht for foreigners and there are hotels located nearby for those looking for a longer stay.
