April 26 - May 3 (2 weeks) Tuesdays, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. $85 members $72.25 Materials included

Express your unique self through colour, words, and drawing. Follow a fun step-by-step process to create two mixed-media art cards each week based on themes such as gratitude and celebration. They can be used as birthday cards, holiday cards, or thankyou cards, your choice! Suitable for beginners.

Experienced professional artist Patti Dyment provides mentorship and supportive feedback on your masterpieces in progress! Dust off your unfinished art projects or start some new works in any painting medium. Each session will start with a discussion or warm-up exercise, then participants will paint their own personal projects in a helpful and inclusive atmosphere. Intermediate painting experience required. Instructors: Patti Dyment

Beginner Stained Glass

Tuesdays May 3 - 31 and Wednesday June 1 (6 sessions) 6:30 – 9 p.m. $295 / members $250.75 Materials included Learn the basics of stained glass: how to select glass, design patterns, prepare and lay out your work, cut, shape and grind glass, and assemble your project using copper foiling and soldering techniques. Participants will leave with a basic understanding of the stainedglass process and a finished panel (approx. 9”x 9”). Instructor: Earl Takahashi

Lino Printing on Fabric

NEW! May 10 and 11 (2 sessions) Tuesday, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. $85 / members $72.25 Some materials included: Lino, printing inks, and two tea towels. Additional Fabric Items must be brought in by the participants.

Nuno Felting

NEW! June 7 and 14 (2 SESSIONS) Tuesdays, 6:30 – 9 p.m. $85 / members $72.25 Materials included The Nuno Felting Technique combines natural felt fibers on top of a base fabric such as a chiffon. In the first session, explore different types of cloth with different textures and thicknesses. In the second session, apply what you have learned to a beautiful fabric work of art! This piece can be used to make something functional, such as a scarf or cushion cover, or can be appreciated just as it is. Instructor: Kate Plant

Creative Collage

NEW! June 9 - 30 (4 weeks) Thursdays, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. $165 / members $140.25 Materials included* Play with paper craft! Collect a color palette, gather material and then create collage illustrations! Discover different collage techniques by being inspired by artists and illustrators from around the world. Layer beautiful papers together with photos, cut-outs, fabric and other delights in a supportive community atmosphere. No previous experience required. *We will have lots of different papers for you to choose from, but it can be fun to collect your own too. Bring your own favorite papers, photos and cut-outs to the class. Instructor: Caroline Raab

Play with print-making! In the first class, design your and carve your own lino cut and then print them on tea towels. In the second class, you get to up-cycle your own fun items brought from home! Bring in fabric items such as pillow cases, clothes and tote bags and brighten them up with your own artistry. Instructor: Fonda Sparks
