Every week will be a new adventure with new themes, stories and visual arts techniques. Taught by professional artists and skilled educators, these camps are creative enrichment for your child that develop: • Cognitive Flexibility • Creative Resilience
• Emotional Wellness • Collaboration Skills
Most importantly though, these camps are pure FUN! Campers can enjoy the themes of the week, but are also welcomed to work on their own art projects.

AGES 6-8 • AGES 9-12 CREATIVE CRITTERS Delight in drawing your favorite animals in their natural habitats. Learn drawing techniques such as texture and shading to help enliven your animal drawings. Invent your own creative critters and design 3-D sculptures of these magical beasts!
AGES 6-8 • AGES 9-12 OUTDOOR EXPLORERS Art inspired by nature! Use printmaking to decorate your own pencil case so that you have an art adventure-kit for outdoor sketching and watercolour painting. Learn about famous artists who loved painting in nature, such as the Group of Seven, and create painted canvases inspired by their colourful style.

AGES 6-8 • AGES 9-12 WIZARDS, WANDS AND WONDER Make a magic wand and play drama games that bring your favorite storybook wizards to life. Weave together brightly coloured fabric and string to make a mini magic carpet. Learn book-binding techniques to make your own spell book.
AGES 6-8 • AGES 9-12 PLANET PALOOZZA Invent your own planet and the people who populate it! Use papier-mâché to make a creative world. Learn fun facts about our solar system and make art inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night.

AGES 6-8 • AGES 9-12 COMICS AND CHARACTER DESIGN Draw faces and fun cartoons! Explore some of the elements of visual art such as form, line, shape and texture and employ them to draw amazing characters that seem to leap off the page. Even try your hand at some animation by creating stop motion videos.
AGES 6-8 • AGES 9-12 WONDERFULLY WACKY Calling all innovators! Creative people have unique perspectives and that can sometimes feel wonderfully wacky. Learn about famous artists with a unique way of seeing things, such as Salvador Dali, and make your own wacky abstract art. Play like Jackson Pollock and make wild splatter paintings.

AGES 6-8 • AGES 9-12 SUMMER SCIENTISTS Take photos of the beautiful Bow Valley and consider ways we can be kind to the local environment. Learn about photo developing by creating your own ‘sun prints’ using special sun sensitive paper. Design and create an invention prototype that will help keep the Bow Valley green and clean.
AGES 6-8 • AGES 9-12 SHIPWRECKED Create watercolour paintings that depict magical undersea worlds! Practice storytelling techniques to tell tall tales about mermaids and other creatures lost at sea. Make your own kaleidoscope and imagine you are a pirate looking across a colourful ocean.
