In this issue you and your friends/enemies are in search of a tiger. The result is chaos. This is an adjective-story. It is a popular game in Norway, often used for kids-birthdays or celebrating with family. But I would say that it’s still as funny and relevant now. So, let’s take back adjective-stories together: Gather your friends, grab a pen and get ready for a silly fun time!
It is a seemingly ___________ Sunday, for now…
Rules:
The game is intended for four names. Write your names in the coloured spaces. Write the same name in each space that has the same colour. For example, write «Marie» in every yellow space.
One person writes and the rest suggests adjectives. What is an adjective? A word that describes a thing: stupid, clumsy, green etc. Adjust the conjugation depending on the sentence structure. If someone says slow, you can write slowly to match it better with the next story.
+ You can also simply ignore that, and get a funny, even weirder story. The better the adjectives- the better the story!
The whole ___________ friend group is gathered outside Burger King. ___________ RED, ___________ YELLOW, ___________ GREEN and ___________ BLUE, they are all here. ___________ BLUE is really excited to tell the ___________ group some ___________ news. “Why did you have to drag us all the way over here, asks ___________ YELLOW. BLUE just ignores it and start sharing. “I guess you are wondering why we are here.” Everybody sighs ___________. Again ___________ BLUE has some ___________ plan to impress everyone, and they must pretend to be ___________ about it. ___________. BLUE clears their throat and continues. “We are going to find a tiger!” Dead silence… Naturally BLUE must give them some context. So BLUE quickly updates everybody about last night.
___________ BLUE was at a dinner party. There BLUE heard something so ___________ that they almost couldn’t believe it. ___________ Roger? told everybody how he saw a ___________ tiger outside ___________ BK earlier that day. “A tiger?”, asked BLUE. “It was big and orange and running around like a maniac.” Answered Roger. Naturally BLUE was sceptical. How could this be true? BLUE decided that this needed to be further investigated, all leading up to the friend group meeting today.
When all the students are up to date, they immediately determine to look. They want to find out the truth, however ___________ it may be. ___________ Red looks behind some ___________ trees. ___________ Blue looks inside the ___________ milkshake machine. ___________ Yellow checks at the top of Rotsethornet, just to be sure.
As the hours go by, people stop to watch the ___________ group search. Some want to look, others are filming, posting, and streaming live on social media. Now things escalate quickly- the students are run down by all the newspapers from Sunnmøre. ___________ reporters from Avisa Møre, Møre-Nytt and Sunnmørsposten want to know what drives them, and how big of a tiger they are looking for. At the same time, the area has become a big chaos. People are running in all directions, shouting, beating each other, throwing food, stopping traffic and, and, and “STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!”
The scream comes from a media student who is seriously out of breath: Roger. “I have run all the way from campus. I can’t let this chaos go on any longer.” While talking, the whole crowd turned around.
“I lied, it was just a joke. I’m so sorry BLUE”
