REGULAR PROGRAMS 

Bookmobile (Points West)—November 6th and 20th at 1:30 pm. Bookmobile now runs to Points West every two weeks. Bookmobile (Heritage Tower)— November 8th and 22nd at 1:30 pm. Bookmobile currently runs to Heritage Tower every two weeks. Tabletop Gamers—November 8th and 22nd from 6 to 8 pm. All ages welcome! Snacks provided by Domino’s Pizza and Mint Drugs. Come check it out! After School Club—Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 to 5pm. Registration required monthly. Bussing can be arranged through your school division’s transportation department. Story Time with Peace Parent Link— Fridays at 10:30am. Intended for children 3 to 5 years old but all children welcome. Parent participation required.

Yarn Night—Thursdays from 6:30 to 8pm. Come and join other knitters and crocheters for an evening of social yarn fun! *Not a class*

Young Adults Only—November 15th and 29th from 6 to 8pm. This program is for young adults only! Alternate Thursdays. For those 13 to 18 years old.

Nerf Wars—November 16th from 4:45 to 6pm. It’s back! Space is limited so register early. New forms needed for the new school year.

Talking Buddies—November 10th at 10:30am. Conversation practice for ESL students. Please register.

Movie Night—November 2nd and 30th at 6pm. Check page 5 to see what is playing this month. Popcorn provided. Library card NOT required!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTNITIES 

Town of Peace River Library Board—Next meeting November 8th at 6pm. Thinking of joining the Library Board? The public is welcome to attend meetings to observe. Application forms are available at the Town office.

Friends of the Library—Next meeting November 22nd at 6pm. The Friends meet three or four times a year and head up fund raising projects to cover the “extras” for the Library. Contact the Library for more information.

Talking Buddies—This is a program that matches ESL students with a partner for some conversation practice. If interested, contact the Library. 3


SPECIAL EVENTS 

Blanket Exercise—November 7th 5:30pm. Educational event to awareness and learn history.

Art Gallery Exhibition Opening Reception— November 8th from 6 to 8pm. . Hanging by a Thread is back! Meet the Valley Peacemakers Quilt Guild quilters that give us that warm fuzzy feeling!

Meet Your Machine—November 14th at 6pm. Do you have a sewing machine that has been collecting dust? Always wanted to sew, but don't know how? Or maybe you are looking to buy a machine and don't know where to start. We can help you in this beginner sewing workshop! Registration required.

Restorative Justice Workshop—November 17th at 1pm. Find out what Restorative Justice is and how it works!

Sewing Skills—November 21st at 6pm. Now that you have the basics, make an easy project. Learn to cut correctly with scissors and with a rotary cutter. Pin for success. Make the seams match. Trim to size. Do corner pivots and complete by doing a “pillow turn” with a top stitch finish! Registration required.

Trim the Tree—December 1st from 1 to 3pm. Time to make ornaments to decorate the Christmas tree in the children’s area! After getting messy join us for cookies and a short movie—Dragons Holiday : Gift of the Night Fury.

Hotel Transylvania 3 : Summer Vacation Count Dracula and company participate in a cruise for sealoving monsters, unaware that their boat is being commandeered by the monsterhating Van Helsing family.

November 30th at 6pm. (Doors open at 5:45pm)

Incredibles 2 Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) is left to care for the kids while Helen (Elastigirl) is out saving the world.

Hanging by a Thread—November 6th to December 5th. The Valley Peacemakers Quilt Guild is back! Their latest textile arts creations will be on display throughout November so why not stop in for that warm fuzzy feeling!

Art Gallery Exhibition Opening Reception—November 8th from 6 to 8pm. Here is your chance to meet the quilters and find out what inspires them!

ONLINE RESOURCES www.TRACpac.ab.ca—TRACpac is an online catalogue system that lets you search the collections of many libraries across Alberta. It also lets you manage your account so once you find the item you are looking for, you can request it right from home. It also lets you check what you have out and when your items are due back. You can renew your items right from your computer, tablet, or phone. TRACpac also gives you access to Libby (formerly Overdrive) for digital audiobooks and e-books and Hoopla for digital audiobooks, music, movies, TV and more. Sign on to TRACpac with your library card number and password (phone your library if you don’t know it) and start exploring.
