REGULAR PROGRAMS 

Bookmobile—June 7th and 21st at 1:30 pm. Bookmobile currently runs to Heritage Tower every two weeks. If you know of a resident who would benefit from this service, please call the library.

Tabletop Gamers—June 7th and 21st from 6 to 8 pm. All ages welcome! Trivia on March 1st and 29th. Group game on March 15th. Pizza and snacks provided by Domino’s Pizza and Mint Drugs. Come check it out!

Teen Movie Night—June 8th from 6 to 8:30pm. Doors open at 5:45. This month’s movie is Black Panther. See our movie page for more information or check our website.

After School Club—Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 pm - 5:00pm. Ages 7 to 12 welcome. Come Wednesday, or Thursday, or both! Always something new to try. *School bus drop off available.

Story Time with Peace Parent Link Story Time is taking a break for the summer. We will see you again on September 7th.

Nerf Wars! - The sun is shining at last and everyone wants to be outside so Nerf Wars will be taking a break for the summer. Watch for new dates to be announced in August.

Peace River Pow Wow—June 2nd. We will be joining Peace Parent Link at the Pow Wow. Stop by to say hello!

Lunch & Learn—June 13th from 11:45 to 1:15 at the Peace River Museum, Archives and Mackenzie Centre. Stew and bannock and a discussion on the history of Indigenous People in the Peace River area. Call the Museum to register 780-624-4261.

Teddy Bear Picnic—June 14th from 10am to 1pm. Come visit us at the Story Time spot at Peace Parent Link’s Teddy Bear Picnic being held at the Baytex Arena.

IN THE DMI ART GALLERY

Cattle Call—May 16th to June 13th. “The travelling exhibition Cattle Call focuses on cattle as they have been expressed by artists throughout Alberta. Presenting art works drawn from the collection of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and investigating a mix of media and artistic styles, the works in this exhibition portray ‘the cow’ both as an essential feature of Alberta’s economy and way of life and also as a cherished companion. “ -Art Gallery of Alberta

Annual Indigenous Art Show—June 20th to July 18th. Artwork by local Indigenous artists will be displayed. Join us on June 21st for the opening reception at from 6 to 8pm.

Libby & RB Digital Workshop—June 16th at 10:30am. Did you know that you can borrow digital books and magazines with your library card? Do you want to learn how you can do it from the comfort of your own home? Bring your electronic devise if you have one and your questions.

Annual Indigenous Art Show. Opening Reception—June 21st 6 to 8pm. Come meet the artists and join us for entertainment and light refreshments.

Dream Catcher Workshop—June 27th at 6:30pm. Jackie Leprete with be here to teach us the art of making Dream Catchers. $12 per person. Space is limited so register early.

ONLINE RESOURCES www.TRACpac.ab.ca—TRACpac is an online catalogue system that lets you search the collections of many libraries across Alberta. It also lets you manage your account so once you find the item you are looking for, you can request it right from home. It also lets you check what you have out and when your items are due back. You can renew your items right from your computer, tablet, or phone. TRACpac also gives you access to Libby (formerly Overdrive) for digital audiobooks and e-books and Hoopla for digital audiobooks, music, movies, TV and more. Sign on to TRACpac with your library card number and password (phone your library if you don’t know it) and start exploring.

TEEN MOVIE NIGHT

Black Panther—June 8th at 6pm. After the death of his father, T'Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly reappears, T'Challa's mettle as king -- and as Black Panther -- gets tested when he's drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people. 2 hours, 14 minutes.
