Ensemble’s Notes We hope through this production that audiences will: Think about what could be, what they want the future to look like, and how we can all make it a reality/ Resonate with the idea that society could be better/ See that there are so many aspects we could improve on/ Know that we must not give up fighting, because if everyone tries to be a better version of themselves, the community will better itself/ Learn that our actions can affect our planet and understand what we can do to save it/ And accept the spirit of wonder and infinite possibilities of our inner child, which may come out to play.

The vision we have for the future: That people will start to slowly let themselves relax and realize that some things aren’t worth the pain. To take joy from the small things in life/ Everyone bursts into song sometimes, like a musical/ Music will be playing in the background 24/7 like a soundtrack of a movie/ We all trapeze around town/ A better education system that allows students to learn at their own pace and engage all learning styles/ That no one needs to suppress their emotions, feelings or thoughts and everyone can express themselves freely and without fear/ Houses look like a bomb of colours from a colour palette/ There will be opportunities to be proud of ourselves/ Whenever you look into the sky you can see the moon and everywhere you go there is music playing based on your mood and the location/ Everyone gets one free pet every year until they’re eighteen.

Synopsis William Guest has found himself transported to the year 2122 where society has reimagined itself. Guest learns through the power of song, dance and the help of the friends he meets along the way, that there is hope for the future. The Summer Theatre Troupe has created a vision for what they want the world to look like in 100 years so get ready to laugh, play and maybe even dance.

Join us for our Community Art Project Join us from July 26-29 from 5:00-7:00 PM or July 30 from 2:00-7:00 PM to take part in a community art project. This will be happening in the park right by the Summer Theatre Troupe production and will give attendees an opportunity to participate in creating an art piece that celebrates multiculturalism through First Nations art and culture.

Our Coquitlam Youth Theatre is a by-audition, performance-based training company made up of emerging theatre artists between the ages of 13 and 17. We are accepting auditions! For ages 9-12 we have Junior Coquitlam Youth Theatre.
