Apple Crisp

Crumb Topping: 1 cup of flour 1 stick of butter 1/2 cup sugar 1 t cinnamon

(Serves 6)

Sift together flour, sugar and cinnamon in stainless steel bowl. “Cut in butter” using latex gloves, combine flour, sugar and butter with your hands and rub together until all butter is incorporated. Apple Filling: 6 Granny Smith Apples ¾ stick of butter 4oz Sugar Squeeze of fresh Lemon Peel and dice apples. In a non-reactive sauce pan, melt 30 l Parsippany Focus Magazine

butter, add apples, sugar, and lemon. Stir with wooden spoon and cook over medium heat until apples are translucent (approx. 5min) Spoon apple mixture into individual 6oz Ramekin dishes. Using your hands, top apple mixture with crumb mixture until apples are covered. Press gently but do not pack. Place dishes on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes. Remove from oven and serve with your favorite ice cream and caramel sauce!
