Narromine Hospital expands service with new X-Ray service unveiled By SOPHIA MCCAUGHAN Broken bones should no longer require a painful trip to Dubbo Base Hospital, with opening earlier this month of a new remote operator X-Ray Service (RXO) at Narromine. NSW Governor visits shire on regional tour By SOPHIA MCCAUGHAN The Governor of NSW heard fi rsthand about the highlights and challenges facing local government in regional and rural areas across the state during her visit to the region last week. Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, and her husband, Mr Dennis Wilson, visited the Narromine Shire on Wednesday, June 18, as part of a four-day regional tour. Her Excellency, appointed in 2019 and set to step down from the role in May 2026, commented to Mayor Ewen Jones that she and Mr Wilson had never been greeted by a school choir before. The ViceRegal couple were thoroughly delighted with the special welcome from the community’s young residents, Cr Jones told the Narromine Star. The Vice-Regal couple then attended a meeting inside
