Car enthusiasts flocked to town By KAITLYN RENNIE CAR enthusiasts from far and wide were in Dubbo on Saturday, April 18, for the annual Dubbo Motor Show. With more than 60 entries in the show, including both cars and bikes, it explains the great turn out on the day. The event was held by Clancy Ford Automotive Dubbo and the Orana Elite Ford Car Club. The money raised on the day was to be donated to the Dubbo Men’s Shed.

Contributed by BOB LLOYD SHOOTING for a $1000 prize pool, 23 players registered to participate on Anzac Day in the Dubbo RSL Snooker Club’s, 3-Ball Handicap Tournament. Players had two chances to win in the repechage competition, which allowed players who lost their first round game to compete again. Play got underway at about 2pm. Black ball games became the norm during the course of the afternoon. The tournament ran smoothly thanks to the work of club president Michael Russell and committee member Col Teale, and players were in good spirits showing good sportsmanship. Winners in both the main draw and the repechage were decided after about five hours of play. Trophies and prize money were presented by Rhett Stockdale, manager of Leading Edge Computers, Dubbo, which also sponsored the event.
