Bienvenido al Taxi, bienvenido a Expovacaciones. Un año más acudimos con stand propio a Expovacaciones, la Feria de Turismo y Tiempo Libre de referencia en Euskadi. Tras once números de TAXI EN RUTA ya editados, nos vamos convirtiendo en la publicación preferida de los turistas que visitan Euskadi. A lo largo del año, los usuarios del taxi se benefician de poder llevarse por cortesía de los taxistas esta publicación y así conocer mejor el País Vasco a través de los reportajes que realizamos en tres idiomas (euskera, castellano e inglés). Nuestra intención es que sea una publicación muy visual, fácil de leer y sobre todo que tenga utilidad, porque ¿Cuántas veces ha venido alguien a visitarnos y no hemos sabido que plan ofrecerle? Welcome to Taxi, welcome to Expovacaciones. One more year, with our own stand, we are attending Expovacaciones, Euskadi´s referent Leisure and Tourism Fair. With eleven issues of TAXI IN ROUTE already published, we’re becoming the preferred publication for tourists in Euskadi. Throughout the year taxi passengers benefit from free issues in taxis, getting to know the Basque Country through its articles written in three languages (Basque, Spanish and English). Bere banaketa eta zabalkuntzan laguntzen diogu elkarri eta Bilbo, Bizkaia zein Euskal Herrira datozen bisitariei dago zuzenduta. Gure geografia erakustea da asmoa eta leku bakoitzean zer bilatu, ikusi eta dastatu daitekeen ezagutzera ematea.

Los recorridos han sido confeccionados tomando como referencia de origen el Aeropuerto de Loiu. Estos precios corresponden a la tarifa laboral diurna: Tarifa 3: Lunes a viernes de 7h a 22 h. Para la Tarifa 4, que corresponde a la nocturna y festiva, el precio de estos recorridos quedaría incrementado en un 10%. Tarifa 4: Lunes a viernes: de 22h a 7h Sábados, Domingos y festivos.

TAXI EN ROUTE is a shared project by all the Taxi associations in Bizkaia. We contribute to deliver and spreading it and its meant for the visitants to Bilbao, Bizkaia, and Basque Country in general with the intention to show our geography and to make known what we can find, see and taste in each place.

Euskadi has been transforming itself for years and adapting to the growth in tourism that now we are experimenting and our intention is to get both visitors and locals to get to know Euskadi, because who really knows all about Euskadi?
Los usuarios del taxi nos conocen, y debido a que nos movemos por y para el turismo en Euskadi queremos llegar más allá con nuestro stand de Expovacaiones y así darnos a conocer a todo el público en general.

-¿Y porque no? Me parece muy buena idea, ¿Cómo se te ha ocurrido?
-Zergatik ez? Oso ideia ona iruditzen zait, zelan bururatu zaizu?
-He estado ojeando por Internet y me ha parecido que hay cosas muy interesantes, aunque, si te digo la verdad, con todo lo que he visto no sabría que elegir.
-Interneten ibili naiz eta oso gauza interesgarriak daudela iruditu zait, baina, egia badiotsut, ikusi dudan guztiarekin ez nuke jakingo zer aukeratu.
-And why not? It is a very good idea, How did you think of that? I have been surfing internet and I think there are really interesting things, although, to tell you the truth, I would not know what to choose after having found so many things.
-Tiene mucha fama la zona de Urdaibai, ¿no es reserva de la biosfera toda esa zona? -Si si, y por lo que he visto es preciosa. Si nos alojamos en Bilbao, podríamos acercarnos en tren hasta Bermeo, que con los niños sería muy divertido. En su puerto pesquero se puede visitar un ballenero llamado “Aita-Guria”, una réplica de los balleneros que viajaban hasta Terranova. Y además de Bermeo, podemos visitar localidades como Mundaka, Sukarrieta o Busturia. En esta última, me ha parecido muy interesante, visitar el centro de la biodiversidad de Euskadi, donde te enseñan todo lo relacionado con la flora y la fauna de la zona. Y desde Sukarrieta, podríamos cruzar la ría en ferry e ir hasta la playa de Laida, a Ibarrangelua. Según he podido leer, se puede practicar piragüismo, vela, surf… y creo que también hay senderos por la zona para dar paseos…

Ostatua Bilbon hartzen badugu, trenez joan gaitezke Bermeoraino, umeekin oso dibertigarria izango da gainera. Bertako arrantza portuan “Aita-Guria” izeneko baleontzia bisitatu daiteke, Terranovara joaten ziran baleontzien bezalakoa. Eta Bermeoz gain, Mundaka, Sukarrieta edo Busturia bezalako herriak ere bisitatu ditzazkegu. Azken honetan, oso interesgarria iruditu zain, Euskadiko biodibertsitate zentroa, non inguruko fauna eta floraren inguruko guztia erakusten duten. Eta Sukarrietatik, ferryz igaro dezakegu itsasadarra Laidako hondartzara joateko, Ibarrengelura. Irakurri ahal izan dudanez, piraguismoa, bela, surfa…bezalako kirolak egin daitezke eta uste dut paseoak emateko bidezidorrak daudela… -Geratu zaitez! Ze, nire seme alabek dena nahi izango dute egin egun bakar baten…Dena
-The Urdaibai region is very famous, isn´t all that region reserve of the biosphere? -Yes it is, and from what I have seen it is beautiful. If we stay in Bilbao, we could get the train to Bermeo, which would be lots of fun for the children, In its fishing port a whaling ship called “Aita guría” can be visited, a replica of the whaling ships that travelled to Terranova. Besides Bermeo, we can visit places such as Mundaka, Sukarrieta or Busturia. In the last one, I think that visiting Euskadi biodiversity centre has been very interesting, where you are shown everything related to the flora and fauna of the area. And from Sukarrieta, we could cross the estuary by Ferry and go to Laida beach, to Ibarrangelua. According to what I have been able to read, you can practise canoeing, sailing, surfing….and I also think that there are paths in the area to go for a walk….

Se puede elegir algún recorrido cerca de la costa y terminar en alguna de sus playas. -Yo prefiero, lo primero, alojarnos en Bilbao y utilizar el transporte público para movernos con los niños. -Podríamos cruzar la ría por el famoso puente colgante. -Es verdad. Si vamos desde Portugalete a Getxo, allí, hay un puerto deportivo y un aquarium que está fenomenal. -¿Y si nos quedamos en Bilbao? Podríamos visitar San Mames y el Museo del Athletic, o algún otro museo de la ciudad, como el Guggenheim… -Me parece que tenemos un montón de ideas y lo mejor será decidirnos, ¿Dónde has encontrado tanta información?

BARAKALDO VERDE Barakaldo se encuentra en la margen izquierda de la Ría, a unos 8 km de Bilbao, se extiende en una superficie de algo más de 25 km2. Su topografía es relativamente ondulada, con montañas de pequeña altura, entre las que destacan el Pico Argalario (513 m) y el Arroletza (456 m), este último en la Cordillera de Sasiburu, así como Peñas Blancas (462 m), Apuko (560 m) y Burzako (443 m).
Barakaldo, Itsasadarraren ezkerraldean kokatzen da, Bilbotik 8 bat kilometrora eta 25 kilometro koadro baino gehiagoko azalera du. Barakaldo is located on the left bank of the Estuary, at about 8km from Bilbao, it spreads over an approximately 25 km2 of surface. Its topography is merely undulating, with small mountains among which Pico Argalario (513 m) an Arroletza (456 m), this one on the Sasiburo mountain range, stand out, as well as Peñas Blancas (462 m), Apuko (560 m) and Burzako (443 m).

Three rivers bathe Barakaldo territory: Castaños, which, coming from El Barrio del Regato joins The Galindo; Cadagua, which, coming from Güeñes and Alonsotegui, borders on Bilbao and flows its waters into the estuary in Burtzeña and finally the Nerbión, already changed into the estuary.

PASEANDO Además de ser un buen ejercicio, pasear es una forma ideal de conocer el entorno natural de Barakaldo. El Parque de Lasesarre, que ocupa una extensión de 15.910 m2 de los que 8.000 son de césped, cuenta con paseos peatonales atractivos y agradables para todas las edades. La Vía verde del Regato se convierte en otro bonito paseo. Su túnel minero, cuya longitud es de 12 km ha sido recientemente recuperado como vía verde y ofrece un atractivo recorrido. También a pie, podemos visitar el Jardín Botánico. Este estupendo Parque en el centro urbano, dispone de una superficie de 65.000 m2, de los cuales 40.000 son zonas verdes. JUGANDO El Parque de Lasesarre ofrece 15.900 m2 de jardines y paseos, pero también, juegos infantiles, bolatoki, petanca y frontón cubierto. Además, en sus proximidades se encuentra el Polideportivo de Lasesarre y el campo de fútbol del Barakaldo C.F. donde tanto adultos como niños pueden disfrutar del deporte. A lo largo del tramo Río Galindo - Ría de Bilbao encontramos otra interesante ruta para los amantes de la bicicleta. Acompañando al curso del río Galindo por su margen derecha nos conduce sin pérdida hasta el Puente del Carmen y continua bordeando la Dársena de Portu, lugar de donde parte el “Bote” que une las dos márgenes de la ría y los municipios de Barakaldo y Erandio.

Dolores Ibarruri bidegorri, occupies the route of an old mining train, which left from the mineral loading bay, in the estuary. We have also at our disposal a cycle path which goes with the Regato green way through the 12 km old mining tunnel.
Galindo Ibaia eta Bilboko Itsasadarraren arteko bidean zehar, beste ibilbide interesgarri bat dago bizikletazaleentzat. Galindo ibaiaren ondotik, eskumaldetik, Karmen zubira helduko gara galtzerik barik eta Portuko kaia inguratzen jarraituz, itsasadarraren alde biak eta Erandio eta Barakaldo herriak batzen dituen “Ontziak” irtetzen duen lekura helduko gara.
All along the stretch Rio Galindo-Ría Bilbao (Galindo River- Bilbao Estuary), we can find another interesting route for the cycling lovers. Accompanying the Galindo river course on its right bank takes us without loss to Carmen Bridge and continues bordering Portu Dock, from where the “Bote” (boat) which links both banks of the estuary and Barakaldo and Erandio municipalities leaves.

Desde 1996 desarrolla un plan medioambiental de calidad de vida y desarrollo equilibrado por el que ha recibido muchos galardones y ha conseguido importantes metas como la de ser la ciudad con más espacio verde per cápita de España Entre las actuaciones clave de la nueva Capital Verde Europea destacan el Cinturón Verde, el Plan de movilidad sostenible, el Plan de lucha contra el Cambio Climático, los Huertos ecológicos y otras dirigidas al consumo responsable del agua, la gestión de residuos o el sistema de transporte público. Gracias a esto, la capital de Euskadi se ha puesto de moda, favoreciendo la oferta para el turismo

A todo esto se suma el patrimonio monumental y gastronómico de la ciudad. Su casco histórico, de origen medieval, se halla en proceso de recuperación y revitalización con criterios de sostenibilidad y conocimiento con un ambiente delicioso de terrazas, tascas típicas, y rutas de pintxos. Sus bares y restaurantes cada vez cuentan con un mayor prestigio y aceptación. Los cocineros de Vitoria se van haciendo un hueco en el panorama nacional, pero además, numeroso bares y restaurantes invitan a la degustación de sus especialidades por medio de convocatorias como las Rutas del Pintxo-pote de los jueves, viernes o sábados, o la Semana del Pintxo o la Semana de la Cazuelita. Estas citas cuentan con una gran aceptación por parte del público local, lo que contribuye a dar un gran ambiente a las calles de la ciudad. Nota de Cata Limpio y brillante, va desde el amarillo pálido al amarillo con tonalidades verdosas. Excelente evolución en copa. En nariz presenta una amplia y fresca gama de aromas varietales muy intensos y singulares, con notas de frutas blancas como la pera y manzana, flores como la margarita y ricos e intensos frutos cítricos como el pomelo y limón tropicales que se acercan los aromas de la piña y el lichi. En boca entra con una cierta suavidad dejando unas sensaciones melosas, frescura por todo el paladar con buena conjunción de sensaciones. Equilibrado, buena estructura, con final aromático, largo con notas elegantes y ligeramente amargas, marcando bien las notas de la variedad y del terruño.

Tasting Note Clean and bright, goes from pale yellow to yellow with green tones, with an excellent evolution in the wine glass. At nose it presents a wide and fresh range of varietal aromas very intense and singular, dominated by the fruit notes, white like the pear or the apple, flowers such as the daisy and rich and intense citrus fruit like the grapefruit and tropical lemons which are near the pineapple and lychee aromas. At mouth it goes in with a certain softness leaving sweet sensations, freshness in the palate with a good conjunction of the different sensations with which we can find. Balanced, good structure, with an aromatic finish, long and persistent with elegant notes and slightly bitter, stressing the notes of the variety and of the land.

BIZKAIKO TXAKOLINA · BODEGAS MERRETXU Nota de Cata Vino blanco, con un grado alcohólico medio de 12º. Color amarillo pálido, limpio, con reflejos ligeramente verdosos, brillante casi cristalino, con densidad media y un carbónico que se integra lentamente. Aparece una buena cantidad de lagrima impregnando todas las paredes de la copa. En nariz presenta una amalgama de aromas muy variados desde las flores de hierba verde, mentas y hojas de eucaliptos con notas de fruta blanca y ligeramente verde de una intensidad media. En boca es elegante en su entrada notando un ligero picorcito de un carbónico agradable. Frescura con acidez fina y abundante, acompañada de una fruta que lo envuelve para dar paso a diferentes matices. En el final hay un toque ligeramente amargo. El recuerdo es de fruta y flores durante un buen rato.

Kolore hori argia, garbia, erreflexu berde arinekin, distiratsua, ia ia kristalinoa, batazbesteko dentsitatearekin eta pixkanaka pixkanaka barneratzen den karbonikoarekin. Tasting notes A white wine, with an average alcohol content of 12%. Pale yellow in colour, clean, with slight greenish reflections, brilliant to crystalline, with an average density and slowly rising carbonation. It produces many tears, coating the wine glass. To the nose there are an amalgam of varied aromas from green grass flowers, mint and eucalyptus with white, slightly green fruits with an average intensity. In the mouth it is elegant, with a slight bite of pleasant carbonation. Fresh, with refined, abundant acidity, accompanied with a fruitiness that surrounds it to give way to different tones. Its finish has a slightly bitter touch. Its long aftertaste is fruity and flowery.

Nota de Cata En la copa presenta un bonito color amarillo pálido con irisaciones verdes, limpio y brillante, en nariz notas verdes y ácidas de hierba fresca y limón, y fruta blanca como la manzana y pera. Ya en boca es fresco, con una leve acidez que enmascara las papilas gustativas y se mezcla perfectamente con el carbónico que se integra perfectamente y se diluye pronto, dejándonos un frescor muy agradable.
BIZKAIKO TXAKOLINA · ARTZAI TXAKOLINA Nota de Cata Es un vino de color amarillo pálido, con ligeros reflejos verdosos, limpio, glicérico, denso y con buena integración del carbónico. Sus aromas revelan claramente la calidad de la viña y la naturalidad del suelo. En nariz aparece una buena intensidad frutal (manzana, pera, banana, cítricos, pomelo), hierba fresca y unos matices mentolados, que le aportan una nota fresca. También encontramos unas notas ligeramente ahumadas, toques de frutos secos, integración perfecta de la madera que apenas si la intuimos, perfumes de flores blancas de manzano y de geranio. En la boca es amable en su entrada con buen intensidad por todo el paladar donde la fruta envuelve todas y cada una de las papilas sin dejar ningún tipo de aristas. Es un txakolí muy bien armonizado, donde podemos disfrutar del sabor puro de gran elaboración. Al final resulta agradable con ese matiz ligeramente verdoso que lo hace aun más persistente, en vía retronasal nos aparecen recuerdos a fruta nuevamente fina y sutil.

Tasting notes It is a pale yellow colour wine, with green light gleams, clean, gliceric, dense and with carbonic integration. Its bouquets clearly reveal the quality of the vine and on natural soils. It gets in the nose a fruit intensity (apple, pear, banana, citrus, grapefruit), fresh grass, and some mentholated nuance that give it a fresh note. We also find smoked notes, nuts touches, a perfect integration of the wood that we hardly feel it, apple tree white flowers and geranious. It is pleasant in the mouth when it goes through with good intensity over the whole palate where the fruit wraps all and each of the taste buds, not leaving any edge. It is a well blended txakoli, where we can enjoy the pure taste of a good making. In the end it turns out pleasant with that green slightly nuance which makes it even more persistent, and again memories of fruit , fine and delicate appear in the tract of the nose.

Gusto: Fresco con una acidez adecuada, marca cierta untuosidad, aparecen los aromas cítricos. Su retronasal es varietal y duradera. Maridaje: ideal para mariscos, verderas y pescados.

LONDRES En este año olímpico y con la conocida canción de “the Clash” por bandera (una de las canciones oficialies de los juegos), la capital británica se presenta ante el mundo como lugar idóneo para acoger el mayor evento deportivo del planeta. Desde luego, no hay mejor momento para visitar la urbe engalanada para tal acontecimiento.
Urte olinpiko honetan eta “The Clash” taldearen kanta ezagunarekin (jokuen kantu ofizialetariko bat) britaniar hiriburua leku egokitzat aurkezten da munduan planeta honetan dagoen kirol gertaerarik handiena hartzeko. Egia esan, ez dago momentu hobeagorik gertaera honetarako dotoretu den hiria bisitatzeko.
In this Olympic year and with the popular “The Clash” song hoisting the flag (one of the game’s official songs), the British capital presents itself to the world as an ideal place to hold the world’s largest sporting event. So of course, there is no better moment to visit the city, decorated for the occasion.

This city´s entertainment options are many and varied: we can enjoy thousands of pubs, hundreds of parks and dozens of theatres. This list can be completed with a visit to the amazing Coven Garden market and the West End shopping areas, where we can (and should) visit the famous Piccadilly Circus. We can’t
