Overview: Founded in 1901 by the Arizu family in Mendoza, Bodega Luigi Bosca is the most historic wine family in Argentina and has continuously crafted award-winning wines that showcase the unique terroir of Mendoza’s subregions. The family has estate vineyards spanning over 1,300 acres in celebrated subregions, Luján de Cuyo, Uco Valley, and Maipu. Dedicated to showcasing ultra-premium and luxury wines, the Arizu family helped to establish the first Argentinian D.O.C. Luján de Cuyo, in 1989. The wine collection today includes the Luigi Bosca tier, the DeSangre collection, Los Nobles single vineyard, and the pinnacle wine of the family, Paraiso.

Region & Estate Vineyards: Argentina’s most acclaimed wine region, Mendoza is located in the eastern foothills of the Andes Mountains. Bright sunshine, moderate rainfall, alluvial soils and vineyards that are planted at some of the highest altitudes in the world are key attributes of Mendoza and it’s vibrant wines. Luigi Bosca’s four estate vineyards span over 1,000 acres and are located in Luján de Cuyo, Maipú and Uco Valley, three of the most renowned subregions of Mendoza.

The deep regional, subregional and terroir understanding for over 120 years shows in the final wines. Los Miradores Vineyard in the Uco Valley focuses on the Malbec variety and its expression in this unique terroir, Los Miralejos is a high-elevation 46 acre vineyard in Altamira, at the heart of the Uco Valley. Los Nobles Vineyard covers 123 acres in Luján de Cuyo and is home to the original genetic vine material of the family, with ancient vines that respect the estate’s natural slopes and original pioneer layout. El Paraiso, located in Maipu, is the location of the family home and the center of the Arizu family history. The vineyard spans over 700 acres and is planted to a collection of white and red varieties. Together, Luigi Bosca’s estate holdings showcase the nuance and luxury of Mendoza.
