Live Joyously and Celebrate Life’s Everyday Moments

Overview: Le Grand Courtâge is a brand of French sparkling wines which offer an affordable luxury and personify the spirit of Joie de Vivre. Meaning ‘the Great Courtship’, Le Grand Courtâge symbolizes the courtship between French and American wine culture, grapes from different regions and the old and new world. Launched by American entrepreneur, Tawnya Falkner, Le Grand Courtage is now the top selling French sparkling wine brand in the $15 - $19.99 (Premium) category according to Nielsen.

Sourcing from across multiple French wine regions, and blending unique varietals, the wines are crafted and bottled in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Burgundy.

Vineyards: Tawnya Falkner tasted through the wine regions in France as she developed her blends for Le Grand Courtâge. She partnered with local growers in well-known regions of France and selected unique varietals to put a modern twist on a classic concept.

Le Grand Courtâge Blanc de Blancs Brut is a blend of Chardonnay, Colombard, Ugni Blanc and Chenin Blanc from Burgundy, Loire Valley and Languedoc, and Le Grand Courtâge Brut Rosé is a blend of Chardonnay, Ugni Blanc and Gamay from Burgundy, Languedoc and Beaujolais.

Winemaking: Falkner works with sparkling expert, Marcel Combes to create the two versatile and balanced Le Grand Courtage wines. The winemaking philosophy is for a balanced and lighter flavor profile to fit virtually any cuisine or cocktail creation. Deliberately lower alcohol and more bright fruit notes and crisp, palate-cleansing finish. Each varietal is fermented separately at cool temperatures to produce a crisp, fruit-forward finish. Once blended, the cuvée remains sur lie during the prise de mousse (secondary fermentation), filtration and the addition of the dosage.

Le Grand Courtâge recently launched a second brand and single sku, Très Chic Rosé. From Pays d’Oc, this wine is a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Cinsault.
