Overview: 60 Souls Pinot Noir is a delicious tribute to one of America’s most beloved Pinot Noir regions, Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Born as a partnership in 2015 amongst wine friends and vignerons, the Oatley family and Pacific Highway Wines. The 60 Souls Pinot Noir is sourced from up to five outstanding vineyards across two outstanding AVAs, Yamhill-Carlton and Eola-Amity Hills and crafted at ROCO Winery.

The name ‘60 Souls’ is a tribute to the brave, early pioneers, inspired by an 1842 census of the original Oregon Territory referring to a group of settlers as ’60 Souls’. These 60 individuals represented the founding families of the Willamette region.

Region: The Willamette Valley is Oregon’s largest wine region and offers natural gentle growing conditions for cool climate grapes, namely Pinot Noir. The mild climate and coastal marine influence result in cool, wet winters and warm, dry summers. Seven appellations within the overall wine region showcase unique terroir and provide the excitement for this region and the sophisticated layers of its wines. 60 Souls Pinot Noir is sourced from up to five outstanding vineyards across the two most coveted AVAs, YamhillCarlton and Eola-Amity Hills.

The 60 Souls Pinot Noir charms with aromas and flavors of ripe cherries, strawberries and baking spices. Crafted at ROCO Winery, 60 Souls Pinot Noir winemaking consists of whole berry destemming, 20 days ferment, 10 months neutral French oak and 6 months in bottle. 60 Souls is a versatile and pleasing partner to an array of fish and white meat options, particularly baked wild or fresh salmon, roast chicken with thyme or seasonal salads.
