California Rose that’s Ready for Anything

Overview: For the past fifteen years, the HOGWASH mission has been to produce a world class California rosé that’s fun, timeless, accessible, and ready for anything. Today HOGWASH Rosé is majority sourced from the Clarksville AVA and labelled under the California appellation. With a coral copper hues, floral aromas and citrus, berry savory notes, it is refreshing and appealing. Available in multiple formats, HOGWASH easily partners with an outdoors and adventure-oriented lifestyle. www.hogwashrose.com

Region: Located on the Sacramento River, the Clarksburg AVA is defined by the maritime influence of the Sacramento Delta. Fog and cool breezes from San Francisco Bay keep the Clarksburg area cooler than nearby Sacramento. Dense clay and loam soils coupled with consistently warm days and cool evenings allows for richly flavored and balanced fruit.

Story: The first vintage of this California Rosé was released in 2004 to accompany a summer grilling and charity pig roast in the fine city of Atlanta. Under the balmy Southern evening, the guest feedback was exceptionally positive as they washed down the hog, thus the wine was praised jokingly as ‘Hogwash’.

The name stuck, as did the sentiment that this wine was crafted in an unpretentious way to be enjoyed as an accompaniment to social occasions, delicious food, humorous friends and the great outdoors.

“Hogwash is as fun to craft as it is to drink. We leave the rule book at the door and get down to playing with the most expressive varieties each year for a house blend and house style that’s uniquely bright, aromatic, savory and fresh. Rosé that stands up to our ‘checks all the boxes’ test.

Tastes great and pairs with any adventure, any season, any occasion.”

Overview: The ’75 Wine Co is a tribute to the creativity and abundance of the Californian wine from then to now. A nod to the year 1975, and the early days of the burgeoning California wine industry; a year before the Judgement of Paris tasting that resulted in California’s Napa Valley wines gaining worldwide respect; a time dedicated to kicking the dirt and learning about the nuance, potential and flavors of California’s wine regions and unique vineyards.

The exploration, simplicity, creativity and accessibility from those early days is celebrated in today’s ’75 Wine Co wines. Premium value and the everyday joy of discovering vibrant, generous flavors mark the backbone of all ’75 Wine Co offerings.
