Whether inpatient or outpatient, from treatment through discharge, all services are delivered in a structured, supportive, and safe environment. At Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital, we are committed to meeting the needs of each client at each stage of treatment. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), recovery is defined as “the process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential.” Our Facilities Our three-story, 180,000-square-foot facility has a bright, cheerful atmosphere designed for maximum effectiveness and success. Through evaluation, clinical treatment, teaching, and research, Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital provides a full continuum of care for the entire family. Our Team In association with the medical expertise of the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry, Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital services are provided in a supportive, safe, and family-like environment by nurturing, compassionate, and well-qualified staff. The team consists of psychiatrists,
psychologists, advanced registered nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, certified therapeutic recreation specialists, music therapists, counselors, case managers, peer specialists, and mental health specialists. This is available for adults and children/ adolescents new to our center. Communication Is Key Problems in need of sound solutions require clear communication between providers and patients. We offer care in American Sign Language, spoken English and Spanish, and through foreign language interpreters. *Ongoing individual therapy sessions are offered for adults and children/adolescents who have completed their initial evaluation. Therapy appointments are scheduled directly by the provider; however, if an individual is unable to reach their provider, the Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital appointment center can be contacted for assistance at 305-355-8118.
