The Parker, Fort Lauderdale’s iconic entertainment and cultural venue, was transformed into an out-ofthis-world setting for the Ghost Light Society’s 13th Annual Soirée, “Soirée in Space,” presented by UKG. More than 230 guests enjoyed dining, dancing, musical entertainment, and astronomical photo opportunities while raising $108,000 to benefit the arts-in-education and enrichment programs at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

“The annual Soirée at the Parker is the perfect opportunity to gather some of Broward’s top professionals together for a fun night, celebrate our appreciation for the arts and raise funds for the Broward Center’s outstanding educational initiatives,” said Jason B. Blank of Haber Blank LLP, who co-chaired this year’s Soirée along with Morgan Weinstein of Twig, Trade & Tribunal PLLC.

Founded in 2009, the Ghost Light Society’s mission is to engage and inspire a new generation of patrons to take an active role in promoting, celebrating, and supporting the performing arts. To date, the group’s annual Soirée has raised more than $1.3 million to support the Broward Center’s arts-in-education programs for Broward County students and continues to be one of the most anticipated events of the season.

“Once again the Soirée exceeded expectations, and everyone had a fantastic time,” added Weinstein. “We also exceeded our fundraising goal, which wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of our volunteer committee and our extremely generous sponsors.”

In addition to Presenting Sponsor UKG, the Soirée was supported by Platinum Sponsors Akerman LLP, AutoNation, Crowe LLP, JM Family Enterprises, Inc., MDW Communications and Twig Trade & Tribunal PLLC as well as several other Gold and Silver Sponsors.
