Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital provides a full continuum of mental health care for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. We offer individual, couples, family, and group therapies. Whether inpatient or outpatient, from treatment through discharge, all services are delivered in a structured, supportive, and safe environment. At Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital, we are committed to meeting the needs of each client at each stage of treatment.

We believe in helping patients regain their footing by promoting recovery. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), recovery is defined as “the process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential.”

Our three-story, 180,000-square-foot facility has a bright, cheerful atmosphere designed for maximum effectiveness and success. Through evaluation, clinical treatment, teaching, and research, Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital provides a full continuum of care for the entire family.

In association with the medical expertise of the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry, Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital services are provided in a supportive, safe, and family-like environment by nurturing, compassionate, and well-qualified staff. The team consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, advanced registered nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, certified therapeutic recreation specialists, music therapists, counselors, case managers, peer specialists, and mental health specialists.

Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital is located at 1695 N.W. 9th Avenue on the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center campus, just north of downtown Miami.

Problems in need of sound solutions require clear communication between providers and patients. We offer care in American Sign Language, spoken English and Spanish, and through foreign language interpreters.

*Ongoing individual therapy sessions are offered for adults and children/adolescents who have completed their initial evaluation. Therapy appointments are scheduled directly by the provider; however, if an individual is unable to reach their provider, the Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital appointment center can be contacted for assistance at 305-355-8118.
