PARTNERSHIPS - HOW COLLABORATIONS ARE TRANSFORMING THE INDUSTRY

Welcome to Issue 12 of The Optimize Edit! This edition is all about partnerships and how we leverage them to drive growth and innovation. We’ll be diving into the details of our exciting new supplement with Motor Transport, offering insights into the industry and showcasing our expertise. Plus, we’re thrilled to highlight our partnerships with Welch’s Transport and Qargo TMS, exploring how these collaborations are transforming the logistics landscape. From technology to transport, our partnerships are at the core of everything we do. Don’t miss out read on to discover how we’re making an impact together!

Our new supplement with Motor Transport delves into the value of our partnerships with Qargo TMS and Welch’s Transport, spotlighting how we’re driving transformation in the logistics industry with advanced AI software Together, we’re creating meaningful change in a time of unprecedented challenges, from the compliance burden to increasing demand for decarbonisation and sustainability. As our CEO, Colin Ferguson, explains, “In all my years involved in this sector, I don’t think I have ever seen the challenged as tough as they are now.” So how are we working with Qargo TMS and Welch’s Transport to better drive change into the sector?

PARTNERSHIPS - HOW COLLABORATIONS ARE TRANSFORMING THE INDUSTRY

At our launch event in 2023, Welch’s Transport identified an exciting opportunity to streamline their operations and began using our software for managing pallet network consignments. Building on this foundation, we later integrated essential codes and quantities required for Hazchem work, enhancing their capability safely and efficiently During this journey, Chris Welch, MD at Welch’s, also encountered Qargo TMS. Recognising the potential of combining our product with Qargo’s, he envisioned the innovative concept of the “Dark Traffic Office,” a solution designed to further optimise and simplify logistics management in complex transport environments. The concept of Welch’s “Dark Traffic Office” envisions a seamless TMS that funnels orders directly from customers to his transport planners, dramatically reducing the need for manual input. By integrating the TMS with route optimisation, drivers’ hours tracking, performance reporting, and geolocation data, Welch’s could establish an intelligent system that autonomously manages complex logistics. This setup would not only boost efficiency but also produce results surpassing those achievable through manual planning, freeing the team to focus on strategic decision-making while delivering enhanced service quality and operational precision. Welch’s Transport is already running one 19-tonne electric Renault rigid and will soon have two 42-tonne electric trucks as well, with Chris Welch saying, “Optimize is ideal for introducing EVs because we can optimise by so many parameters, taking into account charging needs, terrain, weight and so on.”

We collaborated with Qargo to create an integrated system that streamlines job management and route optimisation, paving the way toward fully automated, real-time solutions for every step from order placement to payment. As a newer player in the transportation management system (TMS) market, Qargo brings a fresh, modern approach, designed specifically to meet today’s technological standards and user expectations. This innovative foundation makes Qargo an ideal partner for us, as our advanced algorithms and artificial intelligence seamlessly complement Qargo’s smart automation capabilities. Together, we’re building a robust, intelligent solution that redefines operational efficiency in the TMS space. Adriaan Coppens, CEO and co-founder of Qargo says, “We focus a lot on automation. We want to use AI to remove all those small tasks that take time and introduce errors For instance, our AI can capture job details from the initial PDF or email Customers can create an order for Qargo through Outlook The AI will auto- matically calculate the price, and, if desired, push the job to subcontractors – and later receive and compare their invoice with the original order.”

At Optimize, we value every one of our partnerships, each bringing its own unique strengths to the table and contributing to a more diverse, dynamic industry. By collaborating closely with our partners, we enhance our capabilities, push boundaries, and work together to reach shared goals. This spirit of partnership fuels innovation and drives us to continually elevate our impact.
