Este año las Jornadas de Puertas Abiertas ha sido un sin parar, comenzamos a recibir familias en Octubre y aún hay algunos días que siguen llegando familia al centro para conocer su funcionamiento. Como años anteriores se ha abierto las puertas a tod@s durante la jornada escolar, por lo cual han podido ver in situ la vida que hay en el colegio. Las familias siempre son bienvenidas y el profesorado está encantado de compartir vivencias con ellos.

“Todo@s queremos la paz, pero la paz no existe, ¿POR QUÉ?”
Este es uno de los mensajes que hemos querido lanzar al mundo este año el Día escolar de la Paz y la no violencia, creado por dos alumnas de secundaria. Son muchos los mensajes que han surgido a partir de la reflexión que hemos hecho en las clases acerca de la paz.

En esta ocasión hemos tenido en cuenta la Marcha de las mujeres por la paz que realizaron en Jerusalen el pasado mes de diciembre, mujeres judías y palestinas pidiendo a los dirigentes políticos que retomen las conversaciones para lograr la paz en sus países. As every year, we have celebrated Peace Day in Santa Clara. All of us have been doing a lot of different activities, but before going there, we have been preparing them in the classes: watching videos, singing songs‌ and finally, each class, distributed in groups, has

Aurten ere, Haur Hezkuntzako lagunok bakearen alde elkartu gara. Eskolan egindako lepokoak eraman genituen Portugaleteko guztiak ikus daitezen.

Aurten ere 4., 5. eta 6. mailako haurrak Portugaletetik irten gara Santa Aguedako koplak botatzera. Ez ginen asko fidatu eguraldiaz, eta asken momentura arte egon gara gorantz begira. Azkenean, eguraldi nahiko ona egin zuen eta Portugaletetik atera ginen abestera. Portugalete osotik joan ginen abesten. Santa Clarara ailegatu ginenean sorpresa handia izan genuen, goxoki pila bota zizkiguten. Gero eta hobeto abesten dugu leku horretan, gozoki gehiagoren zain. Bizkaiko zubiari ere abestu genion Santa Agueda abestia. Datorren urtean espero dugu berriro ateratzea herritik eguraldi honekin, gure tradizioez gozatzeko.

The 24th of February we celebrated the carnivals in the El Carmen school. The chosen theme was fruits and each course chose a different one. The children of one year old were dressed up as grapes, two years old were strawberries, three of kiwis, four of watermelon and the oldest of the preschool were dressed up as pineapple. The 1 and 2 year olds went to the gym in order to celebrate this special day and we did a lot of activities there which were focused on fun.

Goizean, lehenengo aldiz, Portugaleteko kalejiran parte hartu genuen, beste bi ikastetxeekin batera. Nahiz eta euria egin, kalera irten ginen poz-pozik. Gero, txokolatea eta bizkotxoak jan genituen eta disko-festan gozatu genuen, dantzatzen eta abesten. Arratsaldean egun ederrari amaiera emateko, gimnasioan pelikula bat ikusi genuen.

ast Friday we celebrated Carnival at school and the most important thing is that we celebrated it outside the school. We made the costumes about different countries and we participated
in the Carnival parade of Portugalete. We went walking along Portugalete, and when we got to the “La Canilla� there was a huge disco where we were singing and dancing the whole morning. We really enjoyed this new experience for us and we cannot wait for the next Carnivals.

En este día de reflexión hemos trabajado el cuento “El monigote de papel”, creando y decorando nosotros mismos un muñeco grande de papel.
También hemos ido a la capilla del colegio para hablar sobre los actos que hacemos y podemos mejorar. Para terminar hemos hecho con ceniza la señal de la cruz como símbolo del perdón.

MIÉRCOLES DE CENIZA Este año la celebración del Miércoles de Ceniza en Secundaria y Bachiller nos ha coincidido con el comienzo de exámenes de la 2ª evaluación. Pero eso no ha impedido que tuviéramos un momento de celebración del comienzo de la Cuaresma. Aprovechamos la lectura del Evangelio del día para fijarnos en la propuesta de Jesús para cambiar nuestro estilo de vida a partir de nuestras relaciones: nuestra relación con Dios, la ORACIÓN; nuestra relación con nosotrxs mismxs, el AYUNO; y nuestra relación con lxs demás, la LIMOSNA. La invitación para esta Cuaresma es vivir teniendo en cuenta la Palabra de Dios y a las otras personas, especialmente quienes nos necesitan, y disponernos a vivir y celebrar la VIDA

Nos ha encantado y cada clase ha hecho su pequeño picnic. Entre todos comemos mejor y lo pasamos muy bien.

HAUR HEZKUNTZAN Martxoaren 9an eta 10ean 4 eta 5 urteko umeak Areitz Soroa baserri eskolara joan ziren. Han, Jon eta Rober baserritarrekin aktibitate desberdinetan hartu zuten parte: ogigintzan, sagardogintzan eta etxabereak, hain zuzen ere. Hone hemen argazki polit batzuk.

RIALIA Hiruhilabete honetan lehengo mailakoak Rialiara joan gara. Bertan Playmobill erakusketa zegoen. Denetarik ikusi genuen : Bizkaiko zubia, gure hondartzak ,Portugaleteko udala, Gabarra‌ den dena Playmobilekin eginda!! Umeen harridura aurpegiak izugarriak izan ziren eta andereùoena baita ere‌ Eguraldi ederra egiten zuenez aprobetxatu genuen hamaiketakoa Rialiaren aurrean dagoen parkean jateko. Amaitu ostean, denbora izan genuen kulunketan jolasteko. Rialian playmobil marrazki eta ipuin batzuk banatu ziguten klasean ikusteko eta irakurtzeko. Benetan egun ederra pasa genuen!!

Kaixo lagunok!!!! 4. Mailako neska-mutilok 3 eguneko super-txango bat “BARATZE� baserri eskolara egin dugu. Baratze Gernika hurbil kokatuta dago eta bai lagunekin bai familiakoekin lasaitzeko eta Naturaz gozatzeko lekurik aproposena da.
Egun hauetan Naturaz disfrutatzeaz gain mota askotako ekintzak egin ditugu, esaterako :zaldiz ibili gara, egurra landu dugu, landareak landatu ditugu eta horietaz gain geure magdalenak ere prestatu ditugu (goxo-goxo zeuden). ANIMA ZAITEZTE ETA ETORRI!!!

El Correo Otsailaren 9an, osteguna, DBHko 1.mailako ikasleak El correo egunkaria bisitatzera joan dira. Han, gertatzen denetik, komunikabide honetaraino heldu arte, albiste batek duen bilakaera eta egunkariaren funtzionamendua ezagutu dute.
Ikasle gehienei bisita hau gustatu zaie, El Correo barnetik ikus zezaketen eta. Beraz, egunkariaren funtzionamenduak zur eta lur utzi gaitu, hona hemen euren iritziak: L.L: Niri asko gustatu zait, batez ere bideoa. A.G. Nire ustez oso interesgarria izan zen, gauzak berriak eta desberdinak ikusi genituelako. L.T. Bisita zoragarria izan zen.Gehien gustatu zitzaidana izan zen nola jartzen zituzten egunkariak kolore desberdinak ateratzeko. Bisita hau egin ondoren ikasi dut egunkari bat egitea prozesu asko dituela eta zaila dela. I.P. Gehien gustatu zaidana izan zen ikusi genuenean nola mugitzen zituzten egunkariak, pintza batzuk bitartez.Eta ere gustatu zitzaidan nola hartzen dituzten paperezko bobinak egunkaria egiteko. P.R. uno
de
los
deportes más completos y divertidos y, por qué no, un seguro de vida, ya que en un determinado momento puede evitar un ahogamiento. Es muy importante saber defenderse en el agua. Por ello, es fundamental que el niño/a comience a nadar y se integre cuanto antes en el medio acuático, con el fin de que pierda miedo y se familiarice con él. Por eso, como todos los años, para ampliar los conocimientos de Educación Física, los alumnos de tercero van a la piscina. Algunos aprenden a nadar y otros mejoran sus conocimientos en los diferentes estilos de la natación. Pero no solo aprenden a defenderse en el agua o a nadar. Al final de la clase siempre tienen 5-10 minutos para poder practicar deportes acuáticos, jugar, o hacer lo que más les gusta dentro del agua. Oso ondo pasatzen dute!!!!

Hello again Super-Bikers!!! We are back again riding with our fantastic bikes. Last month 6th degree students took part in the third activity of “TXIRRINGA ESKOLAN” .
It was really AWESOME !!!! because we had to ride in a real street circuit where we had to follow the traffic signals and the instructions of real policemen. Thanks to it, since that day we know how we can ride better along our village´s roads.

Un año más, nuestra querida Fundación Juan Bonal organizó el domingo 18 de diciembre un mercadillo solidario con el objetivo de recaudar fondos para los proyectos en los que colabora en otros países. Gracias a todos los artículos donados, a las artistas que hacen las labores de Patchwork, a los voluntarios y voluntarias que colaboraron durante toda la mañana, a nuestro cocinero que nos preparó un delicioso chocolate y caldo, y a todos los asistentes que aportaron su granito de arena en la compra de algún artículo o bien tomándose un hamaiketako solidario con txistorra, pudimos recaudar ____ euros. GRACIAS a tod@s y esperamos que os animéis en las próximas actividades. MILA ESKER!! THANK YOU!!!

La biblioteca del cole es un aula muy clara y grande donde hay muchas estanterías llenas de libros. Estos están distribuidos en varias zonas según el idioma y la edad de los alumnos. Nosotros, los alumnos de 1º, vamos cada quince días y además hacemos una ficha donde contestamos a unas preguntas y hacemos un dibujo sobre el libro que hemos leído. Las andereños dicen que es muy importante que desde pequeños cojamos el hábito y el gusto por la lectura, pues mediante los libros aprendemos, imaginamos y nos introducimos en el mundo de la fantasía disfrutando de distintas historias.

¡Vamos al cine! El 21 de marzo los niños de 5 años, y los niños de 1º, 2º, 3º y 5º de primaria hemos ido al cine del Ballonti a ver la película titulada “Albert”. ¡Ha sido muy divertida, nos lo hemos pasado genial viendo las aventuras de Albert!

SLEEPING BEAUTY
Sleeping Beauty is a story about a girl who was stabbed with the spindle and befell the old curse from the evil fairy. She fell asleep for one hundred years, and it could be saved only by the brave prince. Although the story of the evil witch sounds cruel, fairy tales will always be popular in the daily lives of our children. They awaken the imagination, thought-provoking and learn about good and evil intentions of people. Fairy tales encourage children to express their feelings and to understand how in life they should fight against evil monsters or in this case a stepmother. In older age they will certainly found themselves in a difficult situation, they will remember some fairy tales and know how to respond. Fairy tales can also be modified, sometimes embellished, but the important thing is to contain the original lesson.

Barry and his teammate James are American football players. They live in the city of Los Angeles in the United States of America. They play for their school football team called The Lions. The problem is that they are the worst team in the league! Barry and James believe that the reason they always lose is because of their cheerleader, Pam. She can’t sing or dance very well, but this is just an excuse! When their coach, Mr Smith, quits because the team is losing too many matches, Pam has a plan. She sends her friend, Maggie, to coach the team. The boys are shocked that their new coach is a girl! At first, they don’t believe she can do the job, but when they see that she is a great American football player, they decide to give her a chance. Barry and James also think she is very pretty and they compete to get her attention. On the day of the match, Pam is sick and can’t be the team’s cheerleader, so Maggie has to learn how to sing and dance to substitute her. The big question is, what will happen on match day? Will the team break their losing streak with Maggie as their new coach, and cheerleader?

Nuestra SeĂąora Del Carmen students had the great opportunity to watch The Phantom of the Opera musical live on 26th January. The Phantom of the Opera was based on the horror novel by the author Gaston Leroux, which has been adapted into countless films, TV shows, comics and radio broadcasts. The Phantom of the Opera follows a deformed composer who haunts the grand Paris Opera House. Not only did our students watch the musical, but they also asked the actors and actresses some interesting questions. Our students wanted to know where the performers came from, how often they rehearsed and they even asked one of the actresses to sing a cappella!!! . As you can see drama and opera give you the opportunity to learn English having fun with your friends and learn life values such as; talent versus appearances or the power of money. Will you join us in the following musical? YES!!!

Deformed since birth, a bitter man known only as the Phantom lives in the ruins of an old Opera House. As a baby, his mother abandoned him, leaving him with a circus as their “freak act”. He was treated very badly and beaten, so eventually he escaped and found refuge, hiding in an old Opera House. He is a musical genius and writes beautiful music that he would love the world to hear one day. However, his disfigurement and solitary existence have made him amoral and dangerous. When the Opera House is bought and renovated by two business men, Mr Armand and Mr Richard, the Phantom terrorizes the theatre, making people believe that there is a ghost living there. Eventually, the Phantom decides to negotiate with the owners – he will stop terrorizing the theatre if they agree to stage a performance using his music. The owners agree, and the new show is a huge success, the performance is sold out every night. The public are attracted by the chance of seeing the famous theatre ghost as well as by the amazing music. The Phantom also has another request; he wants a new star for his show. During an audition, he finds Christine who replaces Prima Donna, the Opera House´s famous diva. Christine becomes the Phantom´s muse and he falls in love with her. Christine believes that the Phantom is her “Angel of Music” who has been sent by her deceased father to guide her musical talent. The Phantom is not Christine´s only admirer, however. Raoul, a high society man also falls in love with Christine after watching her perform. Who will Christine choose, the disfigured Phantom, or the gentleman, Raoul? What will the Phantom´s destiny be? Will he finally find love and be redeemed?

Mikroipuin festa lehiaketa Portugaleteko Udalaren Euskara Zerbitzuak euskarazko irakurzaletasuna eta sormen literarioa bultzatzeko xedez Mikroipuin festa antolatu du. Parte hartzeko, gehienez 100 karaktereko ipuina idatzi behar zen, sugandila berba erabiliz eta azaroaren 30a baino lehen bidali genuen.
Ekimen honetan hainbat ikastetxetako, institututako eta euskaltegitako ikasleek hartu dute parte; guztira, 336 lagunek hain zuzen ere. Irabazleen artean gure ikastetxeko gazte bat izan da: Lucia Torre Zorionak txapeldun!!
Horretaz gain, parte hartzaileen artean zozketa bat egin dute eta ikastetxeko saridunak hauexek izan dira: Alazne Joan Alberto MarĂa NicolĂĄs Leire Aitana Ander Sendoa Ethan Cynthia Irene Sari banaketa abenduaren 27an(asteartea) 12:00etan egin zuten udaletxeko batzar aretoan. Beraz, irabazleak eta saridunak gonbidatuta zeudenez. Hara joan ginen sariak jazotera.

Los alumnos de 2º hemos estados varias sesiones inventando cuentos y realizando sus secuencias de imágenes. Nos han quedado tan chulis que nos hemos ido a las clases de 1º a contárselo a nuestros pequeños compañeros. Lo hemos pasado todos genial.

Este año tuvo lugar en el centro cultural Santa Clara nuestra cita anual con la exposición que organiza la Fundación Juan Bonal, para recaudar fondos y poder ayudar en el proyecto que tiene en Rwanda. El martes 7 de marzo se inauguró con la presencia de la nueva directora de la Fundación (Hermana Lucía), el encargado del proyecto (José Carlos) y el alcalde de Portugalete (Mikel Torres), junto con la actuación del ballet de Pilar Aguirregomezcorta. Hasta el 16 de marzo pudimos contemplar la excepcional exhibición fotográfica sobre Rwanda que se inauguraba por vez primera en Portugalete, y quienes lo desearon, también pudieron ver allí mismo el vídeo sobre dicho país. Además, se organizaron talleres solidarios donde los más pequeños pudieron realizar colgantes, marcapáginas, llaveros de pasta moldeable, etc. Para todo el público asistente, también había un mercadillo con artículos de diversos países en los que colabora la Fundación y alimentos de Comercio Justo.
