We are proud of our children – not just of their formidable exam success but of all their achievements across the board. This year we have just over a hundred children leaving us for senior school and between them, they have been awarded 42 scholarships. Many have excelled academically, but they have also reached the highest standards in sport, art, drama, and music – a testament to their tenacity and resilience and the dedication of their teachers.
Broomwood is embarking on a new era. The boys and girls prep schools have united together with the Pre-Prep under the one Broomwood name, with shared values, uniform and facilities. Specialist teachers work across all our sites and children take advantage of some of the best prep school resources in London. Lessons are delivered in a single sex environment from Year 3, but Broomwood pupils come together for an extensive variety of co-educational activities and learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
We work carefully with parents and senior schools to ensure they move on to the best schools in the UK, many in London and some further afield, with a healthy mix of co-ed and single sex choices. We are glad to hear senior school staff tell us how mature, confident and enthusiastic our children are and that they often take on leadership roles. Happy children learn best. Broomwood is a happy place.
This year our children were awarded 42 scholarships: 23 academic, 8 sport, 7 drama, 3 music and 2 art.
At Broomwood we do not feed to any one particular school but have a longstanding relationship with many of the top schools in the country. This year our children accepted places at 33 different schools. Broomwood pupils regularly receive offers from additional schools including: Benenden, Charterhouse, Eton, Francis Holland School, Hampton School, Kings College Wimbledon, LPS, Putney High School, Oundle, Radley College, St Edward’s Oxford, St Mary’s Ascot, St Mary’s Calne, Trinity School, Wallington County Grammar and Wellington College.
