Uniform Lookbook

The Broomwood Uniform is supplied by www.schoolblazer.com To create an account for your child you should select ‘Broomwood’ The Schoolblazer website will then provide you with options to purchase the relevant items for your child Deliveries normally within 2 days.

Little Broomwood (Pre-School, ages 3-4)

 The Little Broomwood uniform is part of the sports uniform from Reception to Year 2.

 Smock (these are used in both Little Broomwood and Reception)

 Shoes: plain white or navy trainers & a pair of wellies to be kept at school (any colour)

 Navy socks, navy tracksuit bottoms and navy fleeced gloves may be purchased from other sources.

 Children may wear navy tights or navy leggings under the shorts as another option.

Broomwood Pre-Prep Boys’ Uniform (ages 4 – 7)

 There is no set Winter or Summer uniform.

 Boys may wear navy plaid shorts or navy corduroy trousers throughout the year depending on their preference. These can be matched with two shirt options, a jumper or pullover.

 Shoes:  Black or navy-blue leather school shoes.

 Trainers: Plain white

 White shirts, navy socks, white socks, navy tracksuit bottoms, navy base layer leggings, navy base layer top, navy or black swimming shorts and navy fleeced gloves may be purchased from other sources.

 *Smocks are only needed for Little Broomwood & Reception

Broomwood Pre-Prep Girls’ Uniform (ages 4 –

7)

 There is no set Winter Term or Summer Term uniform.

 Girls may wear the plaid pinafore dress or striped summer dress throughout the year depending on their preference. These can be matched with two shirt options and a jumper or cardigan.

 Navy socks or tights to be worn with the pinafore and short white socks to be worn with the summer dress.

 Shoes:  black or navy-blue leather school shoes.

 Trainers: plain white

 For Sport, girls have the option for either shorts or a skort

 Hair: please tie back long hair. Navy or Broomwood blue hairbands, ribbons and bobbles. The summer dress comes with a matching scrunchie.

 White blouse, navy socks, white socks, navy tracksuit bottoms, navy base layer leggings, navy base layer top, navy or black swimming costume and navy fleeced gloves may be purchased from other sources.

 *The striped summer dress is part of the Prep school uniform until Year 4 and optional in Year 5 onwards

 *Girls may wear the pinafore dress in Year 3 & 4 at the Prep School

Broomwood Prep – Boys’ Uniform (ages 7 – 13)

• Boys should wear a white shirt, short or long sleeved; Tweed Jacket and the Plaid Tie.

• The Plaid shorts or the Navy trousers can be worn by boys throughout the year.

• Boys may wear the Navy V Neck or Sleeveless Jumper.

• Boys should wear navy knee-socks with shorts, and short socks with trousers.

• Shoes: Black leather school shoes

• Trainers: Plain White

• Boys are expected to have a school coat: either the Stormproof or the Puffer from Schoolblazer. Home coats are not allowed in any year group.

Broomwood Prep Boys’ Uniform  - Sport (ages 7 – 13)

• Trainers for sport or standard moulded stud for football/rugby boots.

• Boys wear the Fitness t-shirt for PE along with the navy shorts, which is also suitable for many sports. Rugby shorts are more robust for when playing contact.

• Match/house top can be selected from Schoolblazer to help you buy his reversible house top (or you can manually select the colour: Blenkarne = blue, Sudbrooke = yellow,  Rusham = red, Thurleigh = green

• Games socks are to be worn for matches, and any white socks for PE.

• Midlayer, Training Pants and Active Jacket are recommended for late autumn winter sport.

• The base layers can be purchased from elsewhere.

• Cricket whites are needed for summer term matches.

• Boys are expected to use the School games bag and rucksack unless in Year 8.

• Where necessary, teamwear will be provided for match events.

• All other items are optional purchase, but alternatives are not permitted unless stated ( ie, shoes, navy/white socks, base layers and white shirts, which can be purchased from elsewhere.)

Broomwood Prep – Girls’ Uniform

 Girls may wear the plaid skirt or shorts throughout the year from Year 5 (with short sleeved blouse in the summer). Summer uniform may be worn in the first half of the Autumn Term and the Summer Term. The summer dress is compulsory from Reception to Year 4 and optional in Year 5 onwards.

 The winter uniform is plaid skirt or shorts worn with the long-sleeved blouse. Trousers may also be worn in the winter: either boys’ fit (straight fit) or girls’ fit (curved at hip).  The winter plaid pinafore dress is optional for girls in Year 3 and Year 4.

 Black or navy-blue leather school shoes are worn with the daily uniform.

 Coat: all children, even those in Year 8, are expected to have a school coat.  Either the stormproof or the puffer from school blazer. Home coats are not allowed in any year group.

 Girls may wear the navy jumper, cardigan or sleeveless pullover & can select their preferred option.

 Girls may wear navy knee socks or tights with the winter uniform, shorts and trousers, or short white socks with summer dress.

 Hair: please tie back long hair. Navy hair ribbons and scrunchies, or striped summer scrunchie to be worn with summer dress.

• Cricket whites are optional and there is no expectation that girls purchase these for the summer term.
