Public Works Department: Capital Overview Roads, Stormwater, Equipment and Cemetery 2020 Capital Projects Review Capital projects that were completed or finalized in 2020 include: •

Kincaid Street Intersection improvements. Included the reconstruction of some storm works, a center turning lane addition and the installation of state-of-the-art traffic and pedestrian control signals. The new intersection is functioning well.

Pedestrian Crossover Upgrades were completed on Nelson as well as a lit crossing at Argyle and Main Street. A new student crosswalk and upgrades to the corners was added on Wallace Ave. S. at Hutton St.

Line 81 Bridge (081081) was completed.

Stormwater Infrastructure Upgrades. Included storm swale installation and cleaning in the corridor from St. Marys Catholic School on Tremaine to Reserve Avenue. A storm connection and reconstruction of services between Richmond and Davidson Street was completed with some restoration expected in spring 2021.

Road 140 reconstruction continued with Perth East forces conducting work.

Bridge and culvert design of two structures was completed as planned for 2021 tender and construction.

Sidewalk installations in gap areas were completed as planned.

The Winter Modernization Project was participated in in conjunction with the other Perth municipalities.

2021 Capital Projects Projects that were initiated in 2020 and will carryover into 2021 include: •

The Stormwater Master Plan was awarded through the Engineering Roster process, with work to be defined with the consultant and commence early 2021. Anticipated to be a master plan process that will take the full year to produce a final report and findings.

The Transportation Master Plan (TMP) was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Public engagement was required to be modified to suit. Delivery of the draft report in May and a final report expected in June 2021. A traffic calming project for Wallace Avenue South has been added to the review and will be conducted in advance of the TMP finalization.

The Albert Storm Trunk was substantially completed with over 90% of the project brought to base asphalt. Some additional sanitary and water installation at the northern portion of the project and top coat asphalt will be completed in the spring and early summer of 2021.
