From You r Boa r d Of Dir ec tor s BY STEVE BUNKER As you read this, our summer activities at Pocono Farms are in full swing. Once the weather cooperated, we had a very well attended and successful Memorial Day weekend complete with many activities. We have not had that many people on the beach in a very long time and our staff as usual did an excellent job of coordinating everything. Hopefully you read this before our July 4th weekend because there are many more fun outdoor plans for that long weekend. Besides there being more beach related support equipment for our community members than in previous years there will also be all new playground equipment installed in early July. The result will be much more modern swings, slides, and other apparatus for the young folks in our community to enjoy. I also want to remind everyone that the Pocono Farms annual meeting is on July 16 at 10:00AM. I hope many of you will plan to attend to not only hear a review of future plans, but there will also be an in-depth presentation on the plans for the Pool restoration. As many of you know after 40 years of use, we have had to replace our pool. I am happy to report that this will be done with no special assessment to our community members. In fact, the cost to you our members will be very minimal. This is only possible because of the great work our dedicated staff has done in controlling expenses and increasing revenues through new sources. Finally, my 3-year term on the board will be over after the annual meeting in July. I just want to thank all my fellow Board members, our Staff and you our community members for your support during this time. It has been an honor and privilege to serve with and for you during this time. There have been many positive accomplishments in recent years thanks in large part to our outstanding staff and my fellow board members. I wish everyone a safe and fun filled summer!!
