Navigating the Leadership Leap

Stepping into a leadership role is an exciting opportunity, that comes with new challenges and responsibilities. For first time leaders or those moving from peer to leader this transition entails new skills and a shift in mindset. Workshop participants will explore strategies to establish credibility, build trust, and develop effective communication skills while balancing the dual dynamics of leadership and camaraderie.

Objectives:

• Review skills, traits, behaviors, and mindsets of leadership.

• Learn strategies to establish credibility and maintain positive relationships.

• Develop communication techniques for setting expectations and providing feedback.

• Identify practical ways to maintain trust and while setting boundaries.

• Practice active listening and impactful messaging.

Real Colors® Workstyle Assessment

This interactive and enjoyable workshop utilizes the Real Colors assessment to engage participants in understanding human behavior more effectively. Real Colors helps leaders understand themselves and others in terms of how people process information, take feedback, respond to change, and respond to conflict. It’s an easy-to-use tool that categorizes four personality types represented by colors: Gold, Green, Blue, and Orange. Attendees will learn about these four colors, each representing a different work style, and pinpoint their temperaments. By understanding the characteristics and motivators associated with each color, participants will enhance their ability to communicate effectively.

Objectives:

• Gain an understanding of the four colors (each corresponding to a work style).

• Discover where they fall as an individual on the Real Colors spectrum.

• Learn to recognize characteristics of each of the four colors.

• Discuss with fellow workshop participants what it’s like to be each color.

Feedback That Fuels Growth: Coaching with

Effective feedback is the cornerstone of growth, engagement, and performance improvement. Learn how to confront bosses when they demonstrate unwanted behavior.

• Approach an employee about the problem behavior - in a way that minimizes accusations, hostility, and defensiveness!

• Ways to repair damaged relationships - at work, at home, with anyone!

• Meet conflict and disagreement head - on and reach a mutual understanding

• What it takes to keep your own cool - and prevent others from losing theirs!

• Coach the employee - so there’s no chance of misunderstanding
