IT ESSENTIALS: COMPTIA A+
The IT Essentials course covers computer hardware, software, mobile devices, security, networking concepts, and IT professional responsibilities. It prepares students to take the CompTIA A+ exam, with the initial exam fee included in tuition.
NETWORK ESSENTIALS: COMPTIA NETWORK+
Network Essentials covers LANs, WANs, OSI models, cabling, routers, Ethernet, IP addressing, and network standards. It includes networking tools, software maintenance, and safety codes, preparing students for the CompTIA Network+ exam (fee included).
This program trains students in phlebotomy with 40 hours of online learning, in-person labs at NIACC, and 100 hours of clinical practicum. It covers blood collection, venipuncture, and skin puncture, leading to certification eligibility.
Our Nurse Aide class covers nursing skills, personal care, infection control, vital signs, and patient safety through classroom and clinical experience. Students are prepared for the state CNA exam and careers in healthcare.
This program prepares individuals for medical office careers, covering communication, organization, computer skills, medical terminology, healthcare structures, legal and financial aspects, office software, and professionalism.
In this class, gain an introduction to healthcare careers, NIACC's programs, and medical terminology. Focus on word-building, spelling, definitions, pronunciation, and common abbreviations.
The paraeducator training program equips support staff with the skills and knowledge necessary to assist teachers in providing effective instruction and individualized support to students, including those with special needs.
This program prepares you for a rewarding, service-oriented career helping individuals and families. Topics covered includes intellectual disability, mental illness, person-centered care, and mental health first aid.
The Child Care Ready program introduces the childcare industry, covering workforce, child development, soft skills, and essential training in Mandatory Reporting, CPR, first aid, OSHA Universal Precautions, and access to ISU's Child Care Essentials online program.

This class develops basic carpentry skills, covering construction techniques, safety, math, tools, materials, floor and wall systems, plan reading, and window/door installation. Students will build a structure to apply their learning and also complete OSHA 10-hour safety training.
The Production Welding program introduces students to the fundamentals of Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding, focusing on safety, equipment setup, and basic welding techniques. Students will learn to create strong and clean welds, preparing them for entry-level positions in manufacturing fabrication industries.
This 3-week, full-time training program prepares you for a career in Professional Over-the-Road Tractor/Trailer driving. You'll operate late model “big-rigs,” gaining hands-on, real-world experience. The course covers all FMCSA-required topics for Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) and includes final CDL Skills Testing by DOT Certified Examiners. Successfully passing the test allows you to obtain a commercial driver’s license at any issuance location
The Climb Ready Program offers workforce ready students a comprehensive and immersive training experience designed to equip them with the essential safety and technical skills needed for a successful career in the wind energy industry. Emphasizing safety and technical proficiency, the program ensures graduates are well-prepared to meet industry demands and excel in their careers.
The 10-week professional dog grooming program combines hands-on salon experience with classroom learning. It covers bathing, drying, haircuts, and customer service, leading to the American Kennel Club’s Professional Groomer credential.
Business Partnership is a membership program geared toward boosting employee leadership, motivation, retention, communication skills, and more. Members have access to multiple, high-quality training programs led by top-ranked national and regional speakers.

This basic course covers dealer responsibilities and requirements for maintaining an auto dealer's l Iowa. It serves as a refresher and provides updates on state and federal laws, rules, and regulation trainer will discuss recent legislative changes affecting auto dealers and provide information from and state agencies. Dealers can share concerns and review videos from the Iowa Department of Transportation and the Iowa Attorney General's office. Updated documentation will be provided to all attendees.
Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance use issues. It prepares individuals across disciplines to identify, understand and respond to mental health events.
This state-approved, 55-hour online workshop allows you to start immediately and work at your own pace. It covers Ethics, Human Body Function, Growth and Development, and Prevention and Care for Coaching. Note: This does not meet K-12 coaching endorsement requirements or qualify for college credit.
You don't need a background in education to become a substitute teacher. Many districts are short on subs, and you can help. For flexible schedules, working with students, and extra income, start with NIACC’s BoEE Approved Substitute Authorization course. It covers Ethics, Classroom Management, Diversity, and Instructional Strategies. Taught in-person by current and retired teachers, it includes hands-on activities. After completing the course and meeting the requirements, you'll be eligible to substitute in PK-12 schools.
Our Commercial Drone Pilot Program is an intensive course designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in drone operation. Over the span of 5 days, you will receive comprehensive training that includes both theoretical and practical components.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will be prepared to take the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification exam, qualifying you as a certified commercial drone pilot.
