Our annual parent survey

Our second annual Parent Survey at Newham Community Learning (NCL) is underway Your son, as a Rokeby student, attends one of our six schools (Eastlea, Lister, Portway, Sarah Bonnell and Selwyn) Together, we are a community of more than 5,000 students

Our Trust is an education charity which oversees our family of local schools. The sole purpose of the Trust is to improve the education offered to the children and young people attending all of our schools. Your views as parents and carers of the education and experiences offered at our schools are an important part of our Trust and school improvement plans.

Last year, the survey feedback was published in Issue 31 of the Rokeby Recorder. It is important that we compare that feedback to the feedback this year to ensure that our school is improving and “Daring To Be The Best”.

We very much look forward to hearing your views. A link to the survey was emailed to you last Friday and is also at the end of this page. Please answer the 15 questions and at the end, there is an opportunity for you to share any additional comments or feedback

If you have any questions, please email info@rokeby ncltrust net

Science Week at Rokeby

Madasir Hanif 7R

For Science week, many amazing opportunities struck. These included animals, sundial craft and the best of all: the science fair. The topic for this year’s competition was time… Science week activity 1. For our Science double lessons, our class and all of Rokeby had the chance to touch exotic animals like tarantulas, desert foxes and a large snake Finally, the science fair This competition, hosted by all science teachers, included the best of the best with their projects, competing for the title: Master of Science.

Ace Robinson 7B

Due to the fact that our topic was time, we made sundials that might seem useful in the distant future On Tuesday we accepted an invitation to a Science Fair hosted by all the Science teachers I was thrilled that everyone came and contributed On Friday a zoo company came and we touched exotic animals.

Ayan Miah 7R

Science week was fun from building pasta buildings to building sundials. Although winning the Science Fair was unbelievable. Building it was ten times as fun. Building something shocking to people was the idea in my head

The winners of the Science Fair are as follows:

Year 7: Ayan Miah 7R - Past / Future Kaabah

Year 8: Agerwin Easwaran 8Y - Time Machine

Year 9: Daryl Prout 9K - Big Ben and the houses of parliament

Y7 students who participated in the Science Fair

The Y7 winner, Ayan Miah 7R, can be seen on the far right.
