Are you a keen gardener?

We are planning to upgrade our pond and garden area for students, staff and our community this summer term. This is a very exciting project that we are doing with Newham Council and we are hoping to create stronger links to our curriculum in Science, Food Technology, Geography and Inclusion, as well as with our school caterers.

The plans are being drawn up at the moment and there are the three main parts of the project - The Pond, A Herb Garden and a Polytunnel.

We will be looking to establish a parent volunteer group, student gardening groups and staff gardening groups If you are interested in being involved, please email info@rokeby.ncltrust.net

Four Y9 Students Shine in Nationwide Cyber Explore Championship

In a remarkable display of talent and teamwork, four Y9 students Jack Harris, Sulaimaan Mufti, Kalvin Thakkar and Fahad Khan have distinguished themselves in the Nationwide Cyber Explore Championship, achieving an outstanding 25th rank among the top 50 schools across the country.

The competition, renowned for its rigorous challenges and cutting-edge cybersecurity tasks, required participants to demonstrate not only technical proficiency but also effective collaboration and problem-solving skills. Despite facing formidable obstacles, our students rose to the occasion, showcasing their exceptional abilities and determination

The Cyber Explore Championship serves as a platform for young talents to hone their cybersecurity skills and compete on a national level, offering an invaluable opportunity to engage with industry professionals and experts in the field. By securing a spot among the top 25% of participating schools, our students have not only demonstrated their aptitude for cybersecurity but also highlighted the strength of our school's academic program and extracurricular initiatives.

"I am immensely proud of their success. Our students had to work as a team to solve some very challenging tasks, and their dedication and perseverance have truly paid off." Mr Milki
