Jack Petchey Award
The Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme is a flagship programme which recognises outstanding young people aged 11-25 across London and Essex. Groups on the scheme get to celebrate the achievements of young people and apply for a package of grants, worth up to £6,400 per year, to support their activities.
At Rokeby School, we use our school values - Respect, Success, Passion For Learning, Personal Challenge and Harmony - to nominate students for the Jack Petchey Award every month.
Congratulations to the students above for their outstanding contribution to the school and continued desire to “Dare To Be The Best”.
Y9 Talk2Learn Debate
This week's Y9 Talk2Learn debate was amazing!
The motion of the debate was "AI is a threat for the future of life and human existence” and the winning team were the students from 9EBY: Fazal Shah , Muhammad Rafay and Wais Hussain. The 'Best Speaker' award was given to Asadur Zaif, for his confident delivery and his excellent use of rhetorical devices.
