ePACT – Required Electronic Paperwork

The Northbrook Park District uses ePACT to securely collect and manage critical emergency information. ePACT replaces the need to fill out multiple paper forms and ensures we have the most up-to-date and accurate contact and medical information in case of emergency. Each child’s profile through ePACT must be submitted prior to attending the program. ePact forms must be submitted by August 9 to begin Adventure Campus at the start of the school year. Information regarding ePACT is sent to families via email following enrollment.

For questions regarding the Adventure Campus program, call 847-291-2995 or email adventurecampus@nbparks.org

If you are placed on the waitlist and the Park District offers you a spot, you have two business days to accept or decline the offer before the Park District moves on to the other families on the waitlist.

Adventure Campus Sites and Times

Choosing Your Child’s Schedule

You must choose a consistent schedule for your child. For example, if you only need childcare three days a week, your days must be the same for each week your child is enrolled. So, if you select Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for your three-day-a-week option, it must be those three days every week of the program. Adventure Campus is only open to students who are attending one of the schools listed above.

New Schedule Changes

Requests to increase the number of days per week your child is attending are dependent upon the availability at your child’s Adventure Campus site. Requests to decrease the number of attendance days will not be granted until after winter break. While you may choose not to send your child to the program, payments will not be adjusted. If a schedule request is accepted, future fees will be adjusted, refunds will not be given. If you are reducing your child’s schedule you will be charged a $25 service fee per child, per transaction. Refunds will not be given, any difference will automatically be applied to your following month’s payment.

Early Dismissal Days: District #30

The daily fees include Early Dismissal Days at District #30. On Early Dismissal Days, fees cover care for your child from the time of the early release through 6pm. Pick up your child anytime. Inform your Site Director if your child will not be attending the Early Dismissal Day. Children must be enrolled for the specific day of the week to be eligible for early dismissal day care.

School Day-Off Activities

When students have full-days off of school, the Park District has several programming options available for an additional fee. Visit nbparks.org/adventurecampus for more information.

Adventure Campus Daily Fees

There are no flat rates or annual fees for Adventure Campus. You will only pay for the days for which your child is registered. Register for five days a week for the best value.

The applicable rate will be applied in the event of days off from school. For example, if your child is registered for five days a week but if there is a holiday on Monday, then the fee charged for that week will be the four-day rate of $16/$23 per day.

Daily Fees

Payments

The program’s first monthly payment is due at time of registration and will be included on the e-mailed invoice; all other payments are due 30 days before that month begins. Example: August payment is due when you register; September payment will be automatically charged on August 1. Payment plans are available. We will no longer be able to split payments between caregivers or guardians in the 2024–25 school year.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are staff trained?

All staff go through extensive training prior to beginning the school year. Training topics include safety, child accountability, supervision, first aid, bullying, appropriate discipline, emergency situations, behavior management and customer service. All staff attend an annual Risk Management training and are CPR and AED certified. All staff are required to attend trainings throughout the school year. Adventure Campus staff are also mandated reporters and trained in concussion recognition.

What snacks do you offer?

Adventure Campus sites are nut-free environments. Examples of snacks offered at the program include fresh fruit and vegetables, applesauce, yogurt, fruit snacks, crackers, string cheese, freeze-dried fruit and fruit cups. Children may bring nut-free snacks from home.

What if my child won’t be attending for the day?

If your child will be absent, you must contact both the school and Adventure Campus. Adventure Campus can be contacted by the site phone number and email that will be provided to you in August. You can also notify the site in person in regard to a future absence (i.e. my child will not be attending this Friday, they will be taking the bus home). We do not prorate for missed days.

Can someone else pick up my child?

All authorized pick-up names must be listed on your child’s ePACT profile, our electronic software program that replaces paper forms. We cannot accept verbal authorization. However, written authorization from the parent/guardian is accepted using any of the following methods: handwritten note, email or text message. The authorized pick-up person must present a photo ID at the time of pick-up. We will not release a child to a person that is not designated as a pickup person.

What if my child has an allergy or needs medication?

Parents must fill out the Permission to Dispense Medication Form and/or the Allergy Action Plan within their ePACT profile. Once the information is received, the parent will provide the Site Director with medication, which will be kept on-site in a medication lock box. Adventure Campus must have their own supply of a child’s medication. Due to the unique program hours, medication from the school is not available to Adventure Campus.
